Hi ladies..

Sandy: We are all proud of you..ONE chip is a miracle.. and only one carb.. Hey, you could be like the Dog Whisperer with his roller blades and your little doggies.

Hot again here..I did my exercise..The boys are shooting trap and skeet with the church this morning..It's good for Brett to be doing something fun..

Was 148 this morning..I have to get a handle on afternoon snacks..even LC ones.

It's hot here again. Ugh! If it's hot tomorrow I might go to the pool. I usually don't go on weekends when DH is home but the season is almost over and I miss it.

I've been good all day today too. And we're eating in so I'll have even more control. We did eat lunch out and ****** doesn't have the info so I just guessed. I had a small Greek salad and the stuffings of a gyro sandwich. The pita went in the trash. That was hard!! Lol. If I can make it through a weekend without gaining I might actually get a handle on this again.

Carolyn, I keep forgetting to ask you if the Clinque stuff for age spots worked well for you? I have tried at least 4-5 expensive brands and they don't do anything, or at least I don't think they do. Maybe without them the spots would be black by now and huge, but they just don't seem to fade at all. I think I have just wasted my money on all these magic potions.
The only one I have that really bothers me is on my nose, looks like I have a dirt spot on my nose all the time, the others I can live with, especially when I see how bad some other women have them.
Buffy, I use Retin A mixed with 4% hydroquinone. Nothing bleaches better. But then you are destined to sunscreen forever. I use SPF 100 if I am going to be outside.

Sandy, I forgot. Are you doing VLC?

No, more EFGT than anything but trying to have 1 all protein day a week. I haven't really "done" a whole day with only protein but it's a goal, lol. I have had a couple of days with very few carbs; the rest of them between 35-50 carbs a day. That's not taking any off for fiber so........ I just hope I can stick with it this time. I've been struggling to get focused on eating right again ever since my mom died 2+ years ago. Not that I'm trying to use that as an excuse, but once you fall off that wagon for very long it's so hard to grab back hold of it and stay on.

Sandy - you're doing great!!

Carolyn - I'm not scared of heights at all - maybe because I'm so short!

I saw The Girl Who Played with Fire today.
Awesome!

Now watching Avatar. It's good, but I bet it was amazing in 3D. It needs the big screen with all these colors!

That movie is playing here too but I want to see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo first. Do I need to? I know you saw it before. Do they go together?

I wish we'd gone to see Avatar in 3D too but it was still good.

Avatar is supposed to come out the end of August in the Theaters in 3D again if you want to go back.
If I could turn off the sound, I'd see it again just for all the colors!

Have you read any of the books? If not, you should at least see the first movie before the second.
They reference a lot of stuff from it and even show flashbacks, so it might be kind of confusing.

Hi gals..

We saw Avatar in Manhattan in 3D in January. It was very good and they had stadium seating so it was easy to see it.. The colors were beautiful..and those flying dragons were awesome.

Those "girl" movies sound intriguing..Probably not a guy movie, huh? Of course, they haven't come here yet.

Sandy, you are doing super great..You can cut carbs with the best of them and lose weight..

I do have to say I'm very proud of myself. I wasn't perfect all weekend, but life happens. Usually I just let Life take over but this weekend I made conscious choices. And so far, no gain!! Woohooo. I made the best Italian sausage with peppers and onions for dinner. So simple and so very good!!

DH has said he'd like to see the Girl movies. Are they chick flicks MK? I thought not, but........? Let me know. So you read the books too? Maybe I best start there or is it really necessary? I hate to go see a movie right after reading the book. Unless it's one that really needs to be done that way.

I did make it back to the pool for just a little while today. We had a crazy wild day here though so I was interrupted and had to come home to help DH look for his keys. He had left them laying on the back of my car???? and I guess they fell off on the road when I was going to the pool. Anyway, after tons of fretting, cussing and searching the streets we, really he, finally found them. Two were broke in two and 2 were missing but the truck ignition key still works and that was the $150 one he was worried about. I just knew he'd laid them down somewhere here in the house and forgot where he put them but I looked everywhere several times with no luck. So I'm thrilled he found them. During all this trauma our DS called and had run out of gas on his motorcyle about 3 miles from our house. Luckily our DGS24 came by to pick up his dog and he went to rescue the DS. Eventually I made it back to the pool for about an hour.

Calgon, please take me AWAY!!!!

The books go more in depth than the movies, but you could go to see the movies without reading them.

The first one has some sadistic sex that can be very disturbing if you're not ready for it. It's a short scene.

The 2nd one has girl/girl sex. So, your DH's might enjoy it . . .

Cindy: Wonder how you liked Vampires Suck..I have my doubts if it is a good movie..but I've been wrong before.

Maybe I should start a marketing campaign!! Oh wait, I think Lay's already did that one, didn't they? And they were so right! I can't believe I only ate 1 chip!

We ordered a new mattress and box spring yesterday. It should be delivered Tuesday. We've had some horrible luck with mattresses. So the company we bought this from makes them right there and have been here in KC for about 50+ years. We went with 100% latex this time after tons of research.

I love mindless, funny movies. We are seeing it Wednesday.

Sandy, remember when I asked you if you want all those Shiratki noodles I had, well someone in Virgina is paying to have them picked up at my door. I have 30 packs from the manufacturer so a good deal for her! I just thought they were rubber-y.

Since I live so close to you, I toyed with the idea of asking if I could send shipping too then didnt ask. That gal is getting a good deal! I sometimes rice them in the food processor and it helps with the texture.

Hot hot hot in Omaha today. Had a good weekend after a productive 1st week for the school kids. Almost cant wait for Fall weather.

Happy Monday (almost) every one.

Back at cha!

I'm doing the happy dance this a.m. . I didn't gain any weight over the weekend!!! And today starts a whole new week. I'd like to lose a couple of pounds this week at least. I know that first week is great and then it slows down but I don't want to just stop losing now and get discouraged and revert to my evil ways.

Morning!
Busy weekend.
WEnt to see Lotto, it was just ok, kind of cute but also slow. Couldn't find anything else closeby that I wanted to see yesterday and I was in the mood for a movie.
School starts here today so DGS 10 will be in th grade, a new school and middle school here. I am anxious to hear all about it. He has to ride the bus this year, will be the first time and it is just around the corner at his house.
Nothing exciting in my life right now to report on, just my usual days and hot here still.
Good thing is that I don't have much of an appetite these days, but it makes it very hard to cook or want to cook anything up to eat.

Hi ladies..

Those chips are so addictive because of the combination of salt and fat..
You are a One Chip Wonder, Sandy..

Grumble..back to 149 this morning..Too much salt over the weekend, so I'm being really good today..and the whole week..

Hot here, too.

Brett went to his boxing workout for an hour..He needs a break from job hunting..Still haven't heard from OKcity..Maybe they offered the job to one guy and he hasn't let them know yet..Who knows????

Kids in school???? Hope everyone has a good year. This is the first year I don't have anyone in school..Feels weird..

I only have 3 left to go thru school although daughter in 11th grade lives with her dad so I only handle the 2 boys. I can still remember vividly when my 35 yr old son was in k-garten and now he has 4 kids of his own. House seems empty now a days!

Strong storms are to move thru later tonight, tomorrows high is 78 and the day after 72! Other than the heat life is terrific here!

Happy evening everyone

Sore is good, MK..but it is amazing how quickly our bodies have to readjust when we have off our programs..

Oh..I hope we get a little rain, but not wind...Susie..I hope your trees are safe.
