Thanks! That saved me some bucks. I didn't care for the author when I saw her on Oprah so I probably won't like it either. I would go with friends if invited but won't make it a priority.
Hot here again. Bailey went for her swim date and loved it. I don't know what we're going to do the rest of the day. We did get a bit of rain last night but just sun and heat today. |

Our garden exploded so am making salsa by the gallons and son brought over his extra zucchinis so am making zucchini bundt cakes to give to family. Today was supposed to be cooler, I think the weatherman is a jester. 96` with high humidity right now. I fashioned a way to shuttle the hot air directly from the oven up into the exhaust fan by using my extra big cookie sheet as a barrier. Keeps the kitchen perfectly cool!

My exhaust fan just rotates the hot air back into the kitchen..not good.
LOL. We went to the rodeo and it was very good and pretty exciting..bull riding, bucking horses, etc..and a very funny couple of clowns..One joke was cute: My wife is rather large..she calls herself a nutritional overachiever..LOL |

Beautiful pic MK!! I bet you guys had a great time.
I take my own water to the movie in my thermal cup, lol. I still give in to the popcorn temptation sometimes but not like I used to. |

Hello dear friends.
Been offline for a couple of days, had to get back to catch up. I like Julia Roberts too and saw her in Ocean's Eleven on tv last night, great movie but I had never noticed before that she walks like a guy, it was funny. DH has been out of town and back, it is still hot, I have just been working on computer things and in the office. Might take in a movie today. DD#2 and family are in Hawaii, the 2 little ones made the long flight great and the baby pulled herself up from sitting to stand at the coffee table yesterday, won't be too long and she will be mobile. DGS calls Mema everyday on his play cell phone, so sweet. DGD 18 is moving into her college dorm today, they are so excited. Thankfully, she is very close by to home, so it is a move but not a big move. She is rushing this week also. Very exciting time for her. DGS there will be a senior in highschool this year so a busy year for him and will be empty nest time for my oldest DD in no time. Still hot, are you tired of hearing me whine about that?

Try not to wear the black lipstick or gauge your earlobes, ok? I bet it'll calm down after a couple of shampoos. Mine usually will but I haven't done that in awhile. I still haven't used my highlight kit, lol. I'm scared, lol.
I'm jumping back on the wagon tomorrow. I'm getting sick of hearing myself say this so I'm sure you all are too, but really, I mean it this time, lol. Really, my weight keeps creeping up and I've got to put a stop to it NOW!!! |

Morning
Carolyn, do you have the black nail polish and the super white makeup? Our own Goth gal in our group. I went to see Dinner for Schmucks yesterday, thought it was very funny and very good movie. One night a friend and I went to the movies and bought a large popcorn to share and 2 drinks, and I was carrying an empty small bowl to dip into the popcorn. The young man taking tickets tried to tell me I could not take the bowl in, I told him, that was riduculous and just walked past him. Whew, I think I finally got the medicare and all the parts and the supplemental insurance figured out, thanks to lots of studying it and talking to my BIL who was in insurance and has had it now for several years. Wow, that is too hard for seniors. I just not have to call my doctors office to make sure they accept the company I picked and then call and apply. I already have Parts A & B, now need the Part D for my prescriptions and a supplemental to pick up what medicare doesn't cover and I will be in good shape. But, the Part D plans change yearly so my DBIL said to look that over very carefully each year to make sure they still cover your meds. |

Hi..
I am hoping that this color will brighten up..I do think shampooing every day will help. Boy, we are "rebels" when it comes to food in the movies, huh? I can't imagine why the little guy wouldn't let you take an empty bowl in there.. Glad you got the supplemental stuff figured out. I totally agree with the difficulty seniors have figuring it out. My minlaw went to the pharmacist and he told her what Part D to have..Why is life so complicated?? Dh mentioned to Brett that he should call the OKCity company this afternoon to find out what is going on with them..Good idea. I think dh is taking tomorrow off to kickstart Brett's job search.. I bought some brats for dinner..We haven't had those this year..couldn't believe it. I am making LC beans..with a regular can of kidney beans and adding bacon, onion, sweeteners..top of the stove. We will see.

The beans aren't bad at all...I just took a can of kidney beans and drained them.
Added some SF rootbeer, tiny bit of liquid smoke, some barbecue sauce, onion and raw bacon pieces and sweetener to taste. So, I put them in saucepan and heated them for about an hour so the bacon cooked as well as the onion.. |

I sort of gave up on the Miracle Noodles, too..There might be some LCF's in the KCity area that will take them..
Good calories, Sandy.. ![]() Cindy: I think 30 percent fat is the minimum that Atkins advised..I remember that in an interview..But if you are doing more carbs, then you need to watch the fat like you have been doing. |

Hi,
Back to school? Usually our kids would be back now, but they are actually starting after Labor Day due to hot weather and school construction..Now, MK, this is his senior year, right?? Have you had his pictures taken??? Miracle noodles don't have any tofu in them. They tend to be more rubbery than the other ones. It's actually raining here..This is good news for my neglected plants. Dh is taking the afternoon off to help ds with his job search..I think I'll head to C'ville and return my library books.. |
