Yes, Sandy, we checked with our across the street neighbors..Our neighborhood is hilly, so
it makes a difference. Went yesterday and ds didn't want to switch until he hears from the OKCity job. If it's a "yes" then he will get a plan down there.. Deep fried brownie?? Yikes.. |

Better Health via Intermittent Fasting and a Low-Carb Diet i really appreciate opinionssssssssssssssssss |

Hey...glad to see you..
You know there are peeps that do the IF and have good luck. It probably won't sabotage your weightloss as long as you don't eat too many carbs at one time..So, you will have one meal? Only take in 15 carbs at a time to eliminate insulin rises.. |

Hi ladies..
Love: For weight loss, I wouldn't do more than 30 a day..And, the type of carbs makes a big difference, too. Watch the rice, grains, etc..breads..I would just have carbs in veggies and some fruit (but with a meal or some fat). Don't do more than 10 at a time and see what happens.. Brett has his car in the shop for transmission problems..Hope it is not a huge bill.. I was 149 this morning, but have been good so far..For dinner we are having tacos.. I bought the La Tiara ones..low carbs and will have one and then a taco salad.. Another hot week..

I'm hot!! I've been cleaning like a mad woman all morning so that's my workout for the day. I was so far behind. I've been very lazy this summer.
You're NOT going to believe this, but the boat broke down AGAIN yesterday and THEN the truck broke down on the way back from dropping off the boat. Those poor guys just can't seem to catch a break lately. I feel so sorry for them. |

Oh, Sandy..
You know a friend of mine who owns a car service place said that they are really booked up because more cars/trucks break down in the summer because of the heat..I am a believer.. |

I love Chicago alot..Dd used to live in Evanston and we lived 70 miles away in DeKalb for 7 years..Did you go on the boat tour??? architectural one? Michigan Avenue is fabulous..
Fun to window shop. Got down to 148.. No job news..for Brett yet..I think we are heading to B'ville to shop and get some nice slacks for him and some nice shirts..He needs a wardrobe update badly.. Friend of mine gave me some green apples and I made an apple crisp..They were sourish apples (not so many carbs), but I sweetened them up artificially. |

![]() ![]() ![]() I'm here, been away for the weekend. My weight has dropped back to what seems to be my setpoint now, 210, which is of course way too much but I had gotten up to 216 when I was into one of my junk eating swings. Feel much better, now if it would just slowly inch down from that. Carolyn, it is so blooming hot here in TX, I know it is hot there but we are going ovr 100 every day now with no relief in sight for awhile. Just fixed 2 big souppots of beef barley soup with lots and lots of veggies, I can freeze it and it is so nice to have handy in the freezer and I love it. I found a new Beef Base that is so good, it is by superior touch and called Better Than Bouillon Beef Base, but I can't remember which store I got it from, so will have to do some hunting to find more of it. I ran to the store to get the beef for the soup and found Coconut milk in the dairy case!!! I bought some and it was ok, didn't have much taste and I do believe in coconut products, so will use it on my ezekiel cereal. DD and family get home from airport tonight, so I will go pick them up and give the kitten back, the older kittens will miss playing with him and DH and I will miss him too, kittens are so cute. Good to see you Love!

Oh that's wonderful news Cindy, I love Braum's!! I just have to drive too far to find it.
I love Chicago too. I was just thinking last night it's about time for another Chicago trip. I haven't been there in a few years and would love to go again. We did a boat tour once but it was just a ride; I don't remember learning anything? But I might've just forgot. I've also taken the Gangster Tour. That was a lot of fun. And we were there for the Taste of Chicago one year and loved that. Although it was sooooo hot that time. But we survived to tell about it, lol.

I'm thinking of trying coconut milk in my coffee and reducing my dairy. I've been reading some info on Primal eating.
Today was NOT a primal day. |

I love Braum's ice cream..You can get a big single dip waffle cone for $1.37..My brother was shocked at the low price.
Brett just loves to go clothes shopping..LOL..Well, his shoulders have broadened and he is now a XL shirt..Got him 5 new shirts and 2 nice pairs of pants..I have to hem one pair.. Went to Wild Wings, which he loves..I had a giant primal burger..no bun and a side salad and we shared some fried pickles (not so primal). Coconut milk is not creamy enough for my coffee..But I know lots of peeps love it. I use it for puddings, etc..and shakes. |

Hmmmm, I'm sure it won't be creamy enough for my coffee either then. I sure wish I could just give it up all together, but I guess I really enjoy it too much to go that far, lol.
That is a great price for ice cream! Wow! I wish we had one here. |

Love Braums ice cream and they have my favorite flavor, Butter Brickle, nobody else in TX seems to make it. Most people here are Blue Bell fans, it is made in TX but I much prefer Braums.
Carolyn, does the coconut milk thicken jello puddings? I know the carbwatch milk didn't work well in pudding, or are you making it from your own recipe of some kind? I have been using Almond Silk milk and I really like it but have wanted to try coconut milk, I just had never seen it at the grocery store, this was in the dairy section, in a carton just like the milk. I had seen it in cans, but this is different, is this what you guys are talking about, or the kind in cans? I am also trying to cut back on dairy, seems the more I study nutrition, the less I think we were meant to have milk products, but then the fermented, cultured types like cheese, kefir, etc. seem to be good for us. Yogurt of course. |

I've heard we're the only culture that drinks milk after we're weaned.
The Europeans, Asians, etc don't. I know I can't have dairy which just makes it easier to give up! |
