Raining cats and dogs here in Omaha and I do not think it is going to let up anytime soon. Thank God we have a large l shaped front porch where hubby can grill. Have a great day everyone!

In case some of you new ones were wondering, DHOR10 is my 10 year old horse, DHOR28 is his 28 year old mother, and DC's are my 2 cats!

Happy 4th of July!!!! I can hear the cougars growling, lolol. My DGD informed us the other day that there are cougars and panthers. The cougars are the older-young women and the panthers are shall we say a bit older than that. I believe that makes me a panther. And yes, that Jacob is a hunk!!! I don't care if he is the same age as one of my grandkids, lolol. Oh, or maybe I'm old enough to be a meer-cat or even just a house cat, lol.

Oh I am so glad. I cannot imagine a 1000 pound horse getting ill with West Nile, wouldnt be easy. Your DHOR28 is getting up there in years isnt she? I grew up on a farm and i do miss having animals. My dad used to fondly say horses were 'useless eaters', he love them tho. Im a horse nut from way back. I learned how to whinny as a kid and "talk" to the horses and they would talk back!

Hi..

Yes, Mr. Alex will be 13 in September..I dread those "teen years"...LOl.

We just got back from Wichita (Gary's brother's house)..Brett and his friend Austin stayed there, but we barely saw them..They were lugging fireworks for 5 days straight..Loading them on trucks for different cities. I think they are very tired cuz they worked 50 hours.

Back to normal..Going to watch The Bachelorette..Dh has been hit with allergies and didn't sleep well away from home, so he is zonked out.

Morning girls. Was back on dieting track yesterday, felt so good!

Hubby was up all night with a cough. He has COPD (not severe) but for some reason his allergies are really bad the past few summers. We have had so much rain, the yard smells musty so Im sure there is mold out there. Carolyn, what allergy meds work for your hubby? Mine takes zyrtec but it isnt strong enough.

Tuscan, I think I know why they call that thread FoodPorn! It is fun to look at all the yummy pics! Im learning how to post pics but theyre huge, need to resize em.

Rosemary is just now 17 and is getting a little dementia. I looked it up and 50% of cats have it over 15 years old. She is 84 in human years. I was standing in the kitchen and got a whiff of cat urine. You know the smell . It is distinctive. After a short search, I found she had been using the formal dining room as a litter box. I was horrified! Granted, their only box was downstairs so the first thing I did was put 2 more boxes on the main level. A part of dementia is forgetting where the litter box is. So I posted my issue on the PG to see if the cat people had any ideas. 2 things came up: Natures Miracle for the urine smell and Cat Attract Litter attractant. The Cat Attract is great. I clean their litter boxes, then sprinkle this stuff on top. The smell attracts them to the litter box. I use it daily and Rose can find her box by the smell in case she forgets. Tuck that away for maybe later use if you need as he gets older. DC15 is fine.....for now!

You are a lifesaver. I have an older kitty who has taken to pooping outside of the box. We put up 2 boxes in different locations, which helped but not completely. Is this a litter or a solution you put on regular litter? Where did you buy it?
