I think they're trying to salvage the carpet. It's that old type indoor/outdoor kind. I just wish this would show Dad he really should just let the house go and move, but I doubt it will.

Enjoy the dinner. Sounds interesting. I'm glad the big 12 has been saved. Somewhat. Now we all have to kick some serious butts in the "10" conferences.

Hi..

My friend's mom is 94 and still living in her home in MO.. It's hard prying them out of their comfort zone, isn't it? I guess we wouldn't want to go either..

Yes, it was a fun night for the SE Catbackers..They raised lots of money for the student
scholarship fun, which is good..Frank Martin was very pleased and encouraged with the
Big 10..He feels that all the coaches are dedicated and have grown together in this
adversity, etc..His motto is adversity makes you stronger. He fielded questions at the end..And one of our friends from church asked him this question: Is it true that when
Colorado leaves for the PAC-10 and Nebraska leaves for the (I forgot), that the IQ level with go up for all 3 conferences?? Big laughs...

Mary Kay..So glad you are home safe and sound... Yippee...

New windows going in..Not as easy as it was getting those old windows out.. It might take a day or two.

Windows are coming along, slowly but surely...They are putting new wood on the outsides of the windows, so I guess I'll be painting again..(saved paint, I think..)

Didn't go to exercise because of the workers around here...I don't like to leave in case they need stuff..

Wow Carolyn, you are a lucky duck aren't you? I have a guy coming next week to give us a bid on restaining our deck. I don't want to do it alone and DH just isn't going to have time so.... we'll see how $$ it is. That will be the deciding factor, lol. It may just be me doing it alone. Yuck!!

Went out for sushi today and had Kimchee. It's spicy fermented cabbage. I know but aside from the salt, it contains 100 times the lactobacillius as yogurt. Anyone else a fan?

I've heard of it and a cousin of mine makes her own but I've never tried it. Does it taste like sauerkraut? That's basically fermented cabbage? I used to make homemade sauerkraut all the time and loved it.

I like it when "guys" do the work..not us..

I haven't had the nerve to eat Kimchee..They have it at some Chinese buffets around here..

I feel like I"m living in a fishbowl with the curtains down. Will get them back up in a day or two..Although my kitchen ones won't work with the spring rods as the windows
come out into the kitchen further..

I looked up how to make kimchee. It sounds very interesting. Not like sauerkraut at all except it has cabbage, salt and it ferments, lol. I'd try it I think. It sounds super spicy though. I bet it's good.

I couldn't stand not having my windows covered Carolyn. Not even for one night, lol. I'd feel too much on display. Yikes!

Oh be careful MK. Make sure they don't mix up the Brazilians, lol. I'm curious as to what B. Blowout is? Sounds interesting. Is your hair very curly? Is this supposed to be a straightening process? I can't wait to hear the details.

Carolyn, I hope you get your windows covered today. I'm worried peeps are watching you, lolol. Even in the country.

Cindy, where did you find the kimchee to try?

Morning!
Welcome home MK, we missed you and I am super curious about this hair blowout you are having, what is it????
I have never tried Kimchee either but I'll bet my SIL has, she is really into alternative health and natural healing. I did get some Kefir after talking to her last time, I forget about it but really like it. I too would like to know what Kimchee tastes like. Kim, tell us more.
Tues. afternoon I finally realized that the feelings I was having of UTI and taking the AZO wasn't going to make it go away, and was having lower back pain so went to the Dr. and I have a bladder infection. They faxed a RX for antibiotic to the pharmacy and when I got there at 6:00, they had received it but couldn't read it, so, since the Dr.'s office had already closed, they couldn't fill it until yesterday morning. By then, I had run a fever all night and was so sick I couldn't drive, was so dizzy I was afraid to move much. Called my dearest friend and she went and got the RX for me and brought it to me. Was sick and ran a fever almost all day and last night but think I am better this morning. Haven't been up long enough to really tell yet. I get this easily now that I have diabetes and really should have went to the Dr. while my sis was here or even right before when I first started having symptoms, but, I didn't. Stupid!

Sandy, so glad for you that your brother not only showed but brought other help with him. It has to be done but I know your poor Dad must just be in a emotional state over them just taking over and getting rid of his things. What a mess. Keep us updated.

Carolyn, our windows were all vinyl so there was no painting, they were in and we had curtains and blinds back in by that night, in the front of the house at least. Glad the contractor is doing your painting. How's the pool coming along? and Sandy, hope you get out of staining the deck. I really don't like to paint and I am not good at it.

Hi Judy!! Hope your surgery went well and you can at least come on and follow us all along and soon can catch us up on your health.

Shon, hope all is well with you too.

Buffy - Oh no!!
I'm glad you feel better!!

Sandy - my hair was always straight until the gray started coming in . . . . now it's all sorts of wavy/curly and I have no clue how to handle it.

The Blowout is supposed to keep it straight for 3 months.
She's thinking about just doing my bangs and the top layers and then the under parts can keep curly to give it body . . . We'll see!

MY LIVING WILL

Last night, my kids and I were sitting in the living room and I said to them,
'I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug.'

They got up, unplugged the Computer, and threw out my wine.

They are SO on my **** list ...

Hi..

Pool deck work has stopped..I will get out the whip tonight.LOL..
While the contractor is here painting my outside sills..They had to put
facing on the outside sills because of the way the windows fit.. The windows are vinyl, but I will have to get another kind of curtain rod for the kitchen because there is no room for the spring type anymore..

MK: We definitely need pictures of the Blowout..Can't wait to see the results..

Buffy: Oh my goodness..No big surprise that the pharma couldn't read the
doctor's writing, but so sad for you..Have you ever taken D-Mannose as a
preventative for UTIs? It surrounds any bacteria and flushes it out so it can't stick to the walls..Hope you are better fast..

Sandy: Okay..there is a Big 10 what will they call the Big 12 that is now the Big 10 (or is it 11?) I'm confused..

I was 147 today, but took my water pill yesterday, so it might have been all fluids..

Hot..hot..85 already..Where is my pool when I need it???

Have a great day everyone..Hi to Cindy and Judy..hope you are doing okay..and Shon, who is busy moving her sister..(bless her heart)

Sandy, do you know that new construction north of Town Center? Right North of the AMC theaters there. There is a sushi restaurant there called Ra. My friend ordered it tossed with diced cucumbers and I had a bite, then ordered my own. It is salty, vinegar-y, spicy as there are red pepper flakes in it and garlicky. Right up my ally. I'll probably bloat like a pig from the salt!!

Morning peeps.
Slept late this morning. Got to feeling really bad again yesterday and my back was killing me, so hopefully, today will be better. I was beginning to think the antibiotic wasn't working but guess I need to give it more time.
Wow, here it is Friday, already, again! Where does time go? I hate that it flys by so fast.
Hot, hot, hot here. Supposed to be 100 almost every day this week. I hate to think what this summers AC bill is going to be. I did get out yesterday and watered all my poor flowers, they really don't like it this hot.
Carolyn, I think maybe you mentioned D-Mannose before, I really need to get some since I am prone to this now.
MK, I read up on your hair procedure. My hair has more wave to it now that I am old, not because it is gray because it is never gray, always blonde, as long as I go see my friend Misti every 5 weeks or so. LOL
Have a great day everyone!

Thanks Cindy, did you find the recipe online to make it? It sounds pretty simple and I know how you like to cook. I'll have to remember that place when I'm over that way.

Buffy, I loved your little joke. Fits me pretty well too. Feel better.

MK, how'd the hair turn out?

Carolyn, how's the pool project coming along?

Hi..

Like Sandy predicted..pool project (mini deck one) has halted all construction..We are going to see Brett this weekend, so...maybe tonight he will nail a board..

Yes, Buffy..get yourself some D-Mannose and hopefully it will help prevent those terrible UTIs..

Yes, MK: We want a new hairdo photo..

Cindy: You guys are so lucky to have such fun restaurants in KCity.. We are getting our 5th Mexican place..

And...while I am waiting for my new kitchen curtains to come, I got some of those $4.00 shades for my kitchen windows..Hey they look really pretty good..and you just stick them up..

Tell Gary the inspector is coming to check his work and expects it to be finished by next weekend at the latest. You think he'll buy that? Lol.
