Morning.
MK, you amaze me in that in spite of your very busy life, you regularly get your exercise in, that is always my excuse to not exercise, oh, I just have too much to do, thus, I seldom get to it and I felt better when I did.
You are right Sandy, it was stress eating, I hadn't even thought of that, but when I sat down to eat, it was that comfort thing that kept me eating past the point of being satisfied.
Another busy day, in fact I have another busy month coming up. Our work is busy this time of year and my DS and BIL are coming in a couple of weeks for 2-3 days and of course I want to get some things done around the house that I have been putting off.
Busy, busy little bees, aren't we? :-)

Ok, I'm wussing out on the weigh in this month b/c of the holiday weekend. So I'm counting today's weight as my end of month weight. Do I know myself or what??

Today- 150
So that's down 2# from the first. I hope I can keep it going in the right direction now.

And that's been a struggle this month for sure.

Have a wonderful holiday everybody.

I have to wait for SATC b/c all my peeps are out of town, at the lake, etc. Oh well, less crowds I guess.\
Change of plans here. We're going to the lake Sunday now instead of tomorrow. We all have to coordinate when we each go b/c of all the dogs, lol. Only one pup gets to go and that's b/c she's still a baby.

Hi everyone..

Back from Lawrence...lots of fun, lots of food , lots of shopping..We saw Shrek and Letters to Juliet. I had some fancy scone from Wheatfields..Back on track now.

MK: That is fabulous that your dd has a job with pay.. Now, it's Brett turn to get one.
Two pounds down, too...

Sandy: Down 2 pounds is a very good thing.. I think I will wait until I can get some of this off..the end of the month..Have fun at the lake.

Buffy: You will enjoy your DS's visit, I'm sure..

Got to buy something for dh's parents' graves..Dh's aunt and cousins are coming down for lunch..OUT, of course.. But, I have to clean the house a bit before they come in.

Night everyone.
Yes, Carolyn, this is my closest sister, both in age and pals. We are 3 years apart, and, I love her husband like a brother.
Great news, my son called tonight and he is getting a promotion and raise. He will no longer be an apprentice but an assistant Golf Pro. I am so happy for him and so proud of all the hard work and determination he has put into this and long hours, whew, he does put in the hours but it is paying off. And, since DIL is pregant with their first baby, I am sure this really gives them a great feeling. She works long hours too, she is a color specialist and trainer for Aveda so when she is off for the baby, her income will stop, so I know this raise will really come in handy!
Going to be around all weekend, and want to get some flowers planted tomorrow, before we go to DGS's birthday party.
Glad you had a good time Carolyn and a good scone, I love good scones!
MK and Sandy, great losses you losers, LOL!!

Well, I was at 149.8 (the border)..this morning..Will be really good today. If we go Mexican, I will eat NO chips..NO chips..Chip free-lunch. Company is coming and Gary promised he would remove his papers/work stuff..He is still sleeping..

It's another hot day in KS, of course..Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Morning!

Got DH out the door.
He's picking up DD26 and they're off to KC for our Goddaughter/niece's grad party!

I'm holding down the fort here.

Supposed to be a gorgeous weekend!!

Maria - how are your eyes?

Sandy - Saw SATC 2 last night - going again today with another group of friends!

My opinion . . . . some of the dialogue is stilted and the characters almost act bored.
But not all - and the clothes etc are fabulous!

All depends on what you want out of it!

What's everyone up to?

Carolyn - I'm glad you had fun! And yes, Brett and DD26 are next for jobs!

Buffy - I Aveda products!! And congrats to the new asst golf pro!!

Hi..

Yeah, I was wondering about the review of SATC 2 would be. Yes, the clothes do look fabulous..Maybe it really is a "fashion show" with a little story line thrown in. ?

Finished tidying up the house..Dh is pulling weeds.. Not alot of action right now.

We are having a breakfast at SSchool tomorrow..I will make an egg and sausage casserole..Sometimes that stuff takes a long time to bake, so will have to get up early and allow time..I won't use bread in it..just eggs, cream, sausage, cooked onion/pepper/cheese, I think.

Morning.
Hot here too.
Yes, Aveda products are very good and I get the family discount which is really nice. And, they go a long way, so I don't need them very often.
Yes, SATC probably is a story already told, but I do love to see the clothes, hair, etc. I am going Monday with 2 gfriends.
Trying to do my nails, have to go with a light color since I can't get it on neatly enough to do a dark one. I can't find a light summery pink I really like, it seems like when I get them home they always look like bubble gum and like I am trying to be 16 again. Any suggestions on a good, soft pink that is for us "mature" ladies?

Hot here today too. Our herd of Eskies woke us up early this a.m. so after we let them all out we went downtown for Mexican breakfast and then stopped by Brookside's farmer's market. They are quite a bit pricier than our local markets out this way but it was all organic and beautiful. Then we stopped to visit my dad again.
After we got home I had DH spray the yard for fleas and ticks. They're already bad this year. Then we went shopping for our "lake" supplies for tomorrow, lol. Now we're heading off to church and then we're having hot dogs for dinner.

Very exciting day, huh? Lol. It's been very relaxing though.

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend gals. I'm sure I won't be on tomorrow at all.

Hi..

Had fun at lunch with cousins and auntie, who is a spry 93!! We will go to Buffalo to do Gary's folks' graves tomorrow..

I don't know if we are having dinner tonight..I got some cinnamon/Splenda pork rinds..I might grind them up and make french toast..

The ticks are terrible..I always seem to get one when I am just watering my tiny garden.

Buffy: It is hard to find a good "color", so I go plain on my nail polish..My nails aren't that great and I like to keep them shorter so they don't break. Maybe a pearlized polish?

Good morning..

Got my egg casserole in the oven..

Brett and his guy friend went to the farm last night (Gary's folks place)..They are going to shoot skeet. There are rented cows in the pasture, so dh told them not to hit any of them..and shoot way away. We are taking the boys out to lunch after church and visit to the "folks" graves. His friend is getting married in early June, so maybe this was a pre-bachelor party..

Hope you are all having a great day..I was 148 this morning..I think I'll take that as my weight for the month..So, I stayed the same..

Hi Carolyn!

Hope Brett has fun - and doesn't hit any cows!

That might be the color I have on my toes . . . . if not it's close.

Morning
Wow, that is a pretty pink, I will look for that to add to my collection. Settled on using a pearl beige yesterday and it turned out basic and pretty.

The birthday party for DGS was a huge success, he was very shy as he stood at the door greeting the guests, the triplets came and 2 other small children and then 10 YO DGS. He really loved everyone being there and making a fuss over him but he kind of hung back and just watched too, at 2 it is easy to be overwhelmed of course. He is into police cars and firetrucks right now, so his cake and pinata were police cars and 2 local policemen came by and showed the kids their SUV's and all the equipment they carry with them, then a swim in the pool and by 9, all the kids were worn out but had had a grand time. So did the adults! Fun party.
Carolyn, be sure Brett just sticks to cow tipping, not cow shooting, LOL.
Carolyn, wow, what a steal on the wedding dress!
Sandy, how many Eskies do you have? My DS and BIL used to breed those for sale, I loved it when they had a new litter of puppies, they are so pretty.
Well, I think I am off to the casino today to meet some friends. SATC tomorrow, not sure what time yet and the weekend will have flown by. Lots to do this week to get ready for DS and BIL to come the following week.

MK: Early morning is the best time to walk...in the heat..or when the sun goes down..Be careful and don't dehydrate..

Well, speaking of cow stories..Brett mentioned that he checked one section of the barn for cows..no cows...So they shot 5 shots away from the barn..Then he heard a rumbling of many hoofs..Some cows had gotten into the barn through a broken door and made the hole larger when they escaped after the shots. They weren't supposed to go in the barn, but cows can be tricky.

Buffy: I love that party with real police..I'm sure all the kids were impressed..How fun for everyone.. Yes, that dress was a steal...and after a few alterations will be perfect for her..

Yes, my neighbor June (who moved) and I would walk our 2 mile circuit..I don't like walking alone..We have animals in our neighborhood and it is a lonely stretch..

Rain last night, but it will be muggy today. Just puttering around the house today..I'll get some chicken out to grill.

Morning.
Yes, we sometimes tend to forget the real reason for Memorial day!

MK, I so admire you for all the walking. I need a real butt kicking to get me back to walking, it just really works for me, firms me up all over, I don't know why I don't get back to it.

Had a very good day at the casino, came home with a gain of $1,089., almost enough to pay for my new computer, sans warranty. I was so happy and so proud of myself for having enough sense to leave when I was up. Usually I am having such a fun, relaxing time that I stay and play far too long.

Today is movie day, SATC. 1 or 2 friends are meeting me at the movie and I also invited 2 of my DD's if they wanted to meet us. Think it might just be 1 friend and I though. Then we are going to do a little shopping. Will be a fun, relaxing day. We went to Coldwater Creek on Friday and picked up some things at their half price sale and I like one short sleeved light sweater so well that I want to go back and get it in another color.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Buffy: You are a lucky duck..and a smart one, too..Knowing when to leave is the key, I think.

I got some celery root at the Merc in Lawrence, chopped it, boiled it, then added butter and several shredded cheeses with real bacon pieces (cooked) and chives. I will bake it until the cheese melt.

I'm back, lol. What a weekend! Busy, busy and very fun. We had fun at the lake even when the storm hit in the evening. Loved the new boat too!

Buffy, we only have 1 Eskie but our DD's family has one and our grandson's GF has one so sometimes we have 3 at a time. There's also an Austrailian Shepherd puppy in the family now along with the chocolate Lab and JR Terrier. We're a dog family here and most of all the dogs are pretty used to each other. All except the Lab. He only likes our Eskie and his little sister the JR Terrier. I'm happy to be back down to only 1 dog for now, lol.

MK, love that polish! I love OPI polishes. I try to walk early in the morning too. If it's humid it's just too hard to walk when it's hot. Be careful!!

Carolyn, that's funny about the cows. I bet that freaked the boys out, lol. Thank goodness they didn't stampede, right? Lol.

Anybody watching the new Bachelorette? I might. I'm struggling but summer is hard to find shows to watch so they might catch me, lol.
