Carolyn: Loved the cat picture! I, too, enjoy a glass of wine now and then.
Randy is out fishing and I am doing things around the house between cruising the internet...It is 58 degrees out but I have the front door open enjoying the sounds of the birdies.... |

I only managed about 5 days of EFGT before I felt it wasn't working.
So, I ate low-calorie for a week or so, and didn't drop any weight that way either... My book finally came, and I read it, along with some others. Anyway, now, I'm back, and today is day 4 again. ![]() |

Good morning..
My guest left this morning..She was the sweetest lady and we had a good time.. Yes, I think it is a good thing to protect yourself around peeps that can hurt you..So, baby steps is a good way.Heard a great sermon about forgiveness..Pastor said that forgiveness is given when one "repents" of wrongdoing..(like us and God). However, we should always treat the wrongdoer with love and compassion. Well, I had a few taco chips, so I am up today..Back to basics today and the rest of the week.. Welcome back, Bright.. Barry mentions 2000 calories as a base, but this doesn't work for many of us..in fact, it doesn't work for any of us..I'll print the recipe this afternoon..

My new laptop is a Toshiba. I bought it at Best Buy and so far I love it. It has a 17" screen which is wonderful!! I did a lot of research and Toshiba was one of the top 2 brands. I think the other was Asus? I've never even heard of that one so went w/this one. My old one is a Dell which was a good one too. It's still working but I was afraid it was on it's last leg, lol. I've read that Dell has gone downhill in the last couple years in customer svc. so that's why I didn't go with them.
That sounds like a good sermon. And true. How do you "forgive" somebody if they don't acknowledge that they actually did something wrong? And she hasn't. So I guess I just need to let it go and try to treat her kindly. Let go and let God. Deal with her. And me. Thanks. It windy, rainy, damp and very chilly here today. We did manage to get a short walk in after Mass but that's about it. And we're going to eat Mexican in a little bit. Danger Zone!!

Mine's not that big but it's way bigger than my old Dell. It's a Satellite A505 and I have Win 7 too. And I guess it's only a 16" not 17. Oh well, it's pretty big, lol.
My deck garden is looking good. I'll have lettuce pretty soon and my cilantro has doubled in size in just a week!! I need to make some pico de gallo soon. |

Morning everyone - time for coffee! Hope you all had a good weekend. Had breakfast yesterday with a friend - had a great time, then dinner with inlaws. Ate too much, but at least it was all the good stuff. Back to a few less cals today!
Can't give you much help with the computer, MK, I'm doing well just to use my pc! ![]() Sandy, I know how hard it can be with the forgiveness thing when the other party doesn't acknowledge wrongdoing. One priest told me to forgive in my heart and let it go. I always thought you needed to restore the relationship, but that's not the case. While we can forgive and move on, it doesn't necessarily mean we must restore how it was before. When I learned that, it was much easier to let go and have a "superficial" relationship with that person. That priest also reminded me that I "didn't cause it, can't cure it and can't control it", that I can only control what I do. ![]()

Sipping my coffee and was listening to the birdies outside but they are quiet now. Going to head to Curves here in a few minutes and get my workout in. I was doing 3 days/week and starting last week focusing on 5 days/week. last week I took Friday and Sunday off although I did some wii fit plus yesterday. Not too much because DH came home from fishing and I quit. I don't like an audience! The wii fit plus has a program where you can input how long you want to walk and then you can change the tv to whatever channel you want to watch something and the beat continues through the wii remote and periodically tells you to change feet or how many steps you have done. (you step on and off the board.)

Thanks ladies!
Very helpful! I still need to check Consumer Reports too. I understand about the forgiveness part - there's one lady that ruined one of my favorite jobs and I just can't forgive her. And I don't think she thinks anything about it. But I don't want her to live rent-free in my head either! ![]() |

MK, that's a good one. I'll try to remember that one for sure.
Thanks Shon. That's some very good advice and I'm going to keep trying to follow it. It's a daily choice I guess. Or at least a choice every time it comes up for me. |

Hi ladies and Gord.
Yup, that "forgiveness" is a big one..However, I'm thankful God has forgiven me.. MK: My goodness..21 is a scarey age for parents.. Dh is on a business trip..Dc Alex and I are on our own..I only have to open cans for that little guy..he is easy. Marie: I go to a faux Curves..same equipment, plus treadmills and elliptical and a tv for using the Wii stuff.. I admire you gals with laptops..I could never type on a laptop..Too flat for my fingers. Hi all around..Check in later... |

I thought I'd never be able to use a laptop either Carolyn. It sure doesn't take long for our old fingers to adjust, thank goodness. And I love being on the couch or in the recliner just surfing away, lol. My shoulders don't ever hurt anymore from being at the computer for long periods of time and I used to really suffer with that.

Shon - I won't be doing much today for his birthday!
His college friends will take care if it, I'm sure. I sent him some cookies last week and a box of party "stuff" that will hopefully arrive today or tomorrow. We'll eat out when he gets home! Carolyn - God is much more forgiving than I sometimes am . . . . I figure he's had more practice ![]() 21 is scary! I've read that boys don't mature until 25 or so. Sandy - thanks for the laptop info! |

Really? If they miss 25 does it happen ever then?
![]() Having coffee and trying to warm up! It's so cold this morning - had to put the furnace on again! At least it's going to warm up this weekend - or so they say. Carolyn, that's alot of deviled eggs to make! I learned that if you tilt the carton of eggs on its side overnight in the frig, it centers the yolk. Not that it really matters, but I hate making deviled eggs when the yolk is at the top and you have no white at one end. Gosh, I must be bored this morning! ![]() |
