Hi gang! I had to take my DD for a root canal today. They gave her drugs to relax her so she couldn't drive herself. Then after we stopped for lunch and tonight is dinner theater. So needless to say, not a very good food day for me here. Sigh.

Carolyn, you're doing so well! I need to follow your lead.

Marie, of course I'll add your DSIL to my prayers. Those life lessons are so hard sometimes for the kids but without them they just don't seem to learn as much or as fast. I hope it's a quick one for him.

I think it's my blood sugar lowering supplements that are helping me..as I was higher than I should be..but not diabetic..

Hi everyone..

Sandy: I take chromium picolanate...600 mcg is a good dose..I also take an expensive
supplement from my doctor's office..Dioxanol, which has alot of different supplements in it.. Chromium is the standard for sugar control, so he could start with that..You can get it anywhere. It's best to take 3 200 mcg doses a day with meals.

Marie: Hope prayers are working for your family..Sometimes the answer takes longer than we want, but it is much better..

Gotta read, then come home and cook..My guest is coming at 4:00..She has no cell phone or computer, but she has a map, which is a good thing.

Busy day today, have to get ready to go to DD's house to babysit, and have some office work I need to take along with me as well as my laptop.

Supposed to get to 81 here today, the trees have pretty much all filled out, it is green and very pretty this time of year.

Duh...my spelling is off..Diaxinol is the right spelling..I found the cheapest place was on-line for
$69 for 120 tabs..for 2 months..2 a day..then there is the shipping. There are other supplements for glucose lowering at the health food stores..NOW carries a brand and you can look around..

Well, my new friend is coming tomorrow..She had a doctor's appointment..she has had some serious back surgery..She used to teach drama, etc at Shawnee Mission..and she is a Roberts..any hints, Sandy? Anyway, I'm meeting her for lunch after the morning session tomorrow..I'm making a LC dessert..banana split dessert, but will make the banana part tomorrow..Then my LC lasagne using chicken breast for the noodles..

Did some exercising, reading, and a little more housecleaning..LOL..

No doesn't sound familiar to me Carolyn. I'm sure you'll be fast friends by the time she leaves. I think you're just a natural friend.

The Dr told Dad that his BSs were fine as long as they're 120 or below first thing in the a.m. and he said his A1C tests have been good so????

The play was Becky's New Car. It was fabulous! Very different. And John Davidson was in it. He's still a very nice looking man even with his mane of white hair.

Sandy: If your dad is eating a regular high carb diet, or normal carb diet, I'm sure this is fine, especially for an older gentleman..126 in the morning is the high limit..and some peeps morning bsugar can be higher, then it can drop down lower during the day because of the Dawn Effect.

He's def eating a high carb diet, lol. He loves his starches and sweets. I guess I'll just leave him alone since I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle anyway. He does try to make good choices through the week but weekends are bad. I guess that's where I got it??? Lol.

LOL..on the early Christmas shopping..Although, while cleaning a closet for our guest, I found 2 long sleeve shirts that I was going to give dh for Christmas last year..LOL..I will just wash/iron and put them in the closet..He won't notice..

Off to do exercising, billing for WW, etc..then meeting Connie for lunch at the college..
She is arriving today instead of yesterday..

Hope things are going well with everyone..

Just popping in to mark my spot today. I was working on my May Budget, went to Curves and weighed/measured...first time since 12/8/09. I am down 5 lb, down 5.25 inches, and feel stronger than then....my clothes aren't looser but I realize that I had probably stretched out my jeans and so it will be a while before I actually go down in sizes....kwim??

got my food ready for the day. Everybody have a great Thursday!

Incredible..Don't worry about your pants..You might have lost more upper body weight instead..

The play was a reading/musical..It was very good..Many of the actors were professionals and they had a few college kids thrown in the mix for variety.

My guest just called..she is coming in at 5:00..She has a hospice friend that she is involved with..which is very nice.

Dh called and we are going to The Mountaintop which is a play by this 28 year old gal about Martin Luther King's last night at the motel..It is hitting Broadway this fall and just won an award. There are 2 characters..Martin and a "maid" who is really an angel played by the 3rd Dreamgirl..My guest will go with us..after my LC lasagne dinner..

Good morning everyone! Was wondering if I could rejoin the group? It's been a long time, I know, but I have worked hard on getting my "mojo" back and have been doing so much better. I did have a difficult time with my weight, though, but started back op on January 23. As of today, I have lost 36lbs and feel like I'm back on track stronger than ever!

I've missed you all and the support, so thought it was time to see if you'd have me back. Hope everyone is doing well.
