I'd love to go see an NCAA game. But that'll prolly never happen.

It's a yucky cold day here so I went to see Shutter Island. Not the kind of movie I thought it was at all. I really liked it.

Hey all, and good to see ya' Gord! A little interesting aside, the Vita Tops utilize inulin. A certain amount of GI distress occurs with over consumption. I will have to find my tolerance level.

Everything is good otherwise. Just cloudy and dreary but I love the lighter evenings.

I thought the promo made it look creepy scary and it's really more of a psychological, mystery story. It's a dark movie but not scary in the way the promo makes you think scary. It's actually more sad than scary.

I like scary movies! I have "The Fourth Kind" coming from Netflix. It's about alien abduction.

Good luck Gord, we'll be anxiously awaiting the results.

Cindy, I like those types of movies sometimes too. Shutter Island is not anything like that though. But it's very good.

Morning all..

Okay..I was 149.0 this morning...............happy dance.... I can't tell you how long it has been...maybe over several years since I was in the 40's.. For me, it's all about
avoiding carbs like the plague and taking chromium picolate/ALA to keep my bsugar down.

Cindy: I hate gastric distress..I can usually tolerate 3 grams of sugar alcohols, but not any more than that.

Owww..Shutter Island did look scarey, but I'm glad it's not..

Gord: Yes, tell your doctor you have the internet and you know how to use it..

MK: Happy Mom day for you...Praying for a good visit with her.

Brett and his buddy are in Vicksburg, MS today. I hope it's warmer there.

Off to exercising...

Thank God she did the test for you. However, now you can get on the correct meds..Yes, I would say that didn't look too good either. But, you know how to LC and with some meds, you should be fine.....

Gord..I read in Atkins new book that the number should never go over 200 and it should be around 140 after 2 hours.. Anxious to hear what your doctor says..

I was still 149 today..It's a miracle..For me, it's all about bringing my bsugar down with LCing perfectly and taking a few supplements.

Meeting with my "sister" from church for coffee..heading to C'ville, then exercise.
I think I will make dh some stuffed peppers..his very favorite. I like using red peppers, too because they have more taste to me..

Hope everyone is doing okay..

It worked!!! I lost 2 lbs since Sunday. Yesterday I had approx 1100 cals

70% Fat
14% Protein
16% Carbs

Menu
Breakfast
2 eggs cooked in Bacon/Coconut Oil
2 slices of bacon
1 whole wheat toast (45 cal)

Lunch
Cream Cheese/Egg French Toast
1 tbsp butter
s/f maple syrup

Dinner
Homemade Guacomole

Snack
Pecans & Almonds

I think I will have to keep my calories at around 1200 or less and protein at around 15% or less. I will try and eat a bit more protein today because I would like to know what my limit will be. I was completely satiated and even felt like I had overeaten after lunch.

Sunday...Yippee..The bottom line on protein for an average sized woman is around 55 grams or 8 ounces per day. So keep that in mind cuz you don't want to lose muscle.
However, your calories sound great..

Yeah, Sunday!! Very good. I know getting the protein down is hard. I hover at the 30% mark but don't follow my lead!

I am down 2 pounds from the first. Really 2 pounds in 8 days as I hung at 124 the first part of the month. Carolyn, inulin is a fiber that passes thru undigested. It is known to decrease triglycerides and LDL but there is a limit as to how much of it your body will tolerate, like malitol. I can eat some malitol but my BF blows up like a balloon !! I find that 3 of these muffins do nothing to my GI but 6 is on the cusp of disaster!

Well, off to the gym, then to make a Peep cake for work tomorrow. You bake a 9" round cake and top it with chocolate frosting on top, yellow on the sides, then you arrange the Peeps around thew edge of the top and it looks like a Sunflower. Perfect for Kansas!!!!

Cute..a peep cake..

Yeah that you are down 2 pounds..I started on my Thiroid meds when I ran out of the ones from the King Pharmacy. The K ones were $62 a month, so I'm anxious to see how the Thiroid from Thailand works.

One more question, I see that a few are testing blood sugar. Is this necessary for this WOE? How are you testing this?

No, but many here are insulin resistant so they check to see how they are doing.

When I first started LCing, I bought a cheap meter at Wallie to see what was what..Well, I would test from time to time..and as I was losing, it was always
in the 80's..Then it started creeping up to the 90's..then when I had my blood test done, it was 102.. So, even though I am not diabetic, I had better watch it..So I started cutting out the grains/fruits and not worrying about the fat, and the numbers have come down. Plus I take a couple of supplements.

Cindy: Darling cake...Just in time for March Madness.
