Hi..

Gord: You are so funny...however, dogsleds have been heroes before..

AKK..What a game last night..KSU was winning 90 percent of the time, so I'm glad
that they pulled it off..The little autistic kid has them playing in the National Championship against Purdue..We shall see..

Hot pineapple..yummy..I just sliced up some strawberries and Splendaed them for tonight's dessert. I will make a little LC cake for the bottom..The Coconut Easter cupcakes were excellent, so I might cut the recipe down.

Sandy: You are one smart puter cookie..

Buffy: There is a Belk's in Owasso, so I will have to check it out for those darling sandals. Hope you have a good time..

MK: How do you do the stairs with that vacuum? Does it have an attachment? I hate doing the stairs..

Carolyn - I hate stairs too!
I use the hose and the flat attachment for the riser and the skinny nozzle for the crease.
Did that make sense?

Good morning..

I was 148.0 this morning..SHOCKED..I think that Biotin 5000 mg might be helping, too.
Buffy told me to get it for my pathetic nails and on the bottle it said it helps metabolize
carbs/proteins/fats...Anyway, I'm pleased.

Basketball: Light your purple candles for Kansas State at 3:30 today..playing Butler..
Poor UNI didn't make it, but they played hard..

Have a funeral at 10 at our church for this saintly lady..She was 92 and was in great health until she got pneumonia. She was teaching Sunday School, etc..etc. until the week before she died. So, it will be a celebration for her life.

Dh and I had a little strawberry shortcake last night. I made an almond cake for the bottom..It was nice to have..

Have a great day everyone.

We're home.
Had a nice time with DS17 but not crazy about the school!
So scratch that one off the list.

Lunch was a BBQ sandwich - not great, so only ate a bit- salad OK, so ate a few bites of that - and cherry pie. Amazing! So all my calories went to the pie! That's fair, right?

I'm going to watch either Post Grad or Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs tonight.
Nothing heavy!

Carolyn - Congrats! That's great!!!

Made it to CO and the resort. Whew, two under two is a handful, especially in a hotel room, LOL. They go down early though so I can relax in the evenings.

Carolyn, 148, great job!

Beautiful here but very cold, at least the little I have been out.

Will try to ck in another day.

Well my BD lunch was fabulous! But I have to say I'll be glad when THIS birthday is behind me, lol.

Then we went to church this evening, then to get a quick bite and then to see Repo Men. It was pretty lame and awfully gory. But it was an evening out. Tomorrow is the family get together for Texas red chili. DH makes it great!!

Yes, sad day for the Wildcats. We only watched the first half before church and were sad to hear they lost, but they should be proud.

Good job on the loss Carolyn. I'm sure I'll be right back up by Monday. But I guess if I'm no higher than I was that's a good thing, right? Two steps forward, two steps back and so on and so on and so on..... Story of my life for the last few years. I guess that's called maintenance??

Buffy, have fun and keep your energy up!!!

Buffy: Glad you are still alive with 2 under 2 in a hotel room..

Repo Man looked really scarey to me. Getting out always feels good..

We watched Bball..and watched Huggie's team win. I didn't care one way or the other.
I think Baylor might really struggle with Duke today..Who knows???

Sunday is church, lunch out and home..I have to work in the nursery today, which is always fun.. I like those little ones..

Still at 148..can't believe it.

Wow Carolyn, you can claim it!

Well, I spoke too early last night, Baby decided she only wanted to take little tiny naps, then have Mema pick her up again and hold her. Didn't get to bed until 11:30 and DGS woke up at 7:00, he went down early, LOL. I will be pooped by the time we get home but it is so worth it to be with the little ones at this age and have them really feel close to me and DD said she and DH had a great day yesterday and last night and said it sure was nice to have Mema along. Makes me feel good to do it for them, they do a lot for me.
I haven't seen Repo man and probably won't now, but would like to see Green Zone.

Today DD and DH just left to take DGS skiing again, at 1 he is a very little beginner. Then they are coming back, will be naps and then we are all going into Vail for a little outing.
Because of our flights getting delayed by 2 days, the hotel has to move us tomorrow, if they could see all the stuff in these 2 rooms I think they would try harder to reposition the other guests, LOL. It takes a lot of stuff for a ski trip, let alone 2 little ones.

Oh, I'll be cooking, just not the whole thing and not all at my house. That's the part I really don't care for anymore. Having so many peeps over. And DD's house is one of those open floor plans where the whole lower floor flows together and it never feels crowded. That's why I love to go there. Plus she's a great hostess and never seems to stress. I think I'm just getting old, hee hee.

Speaking of wine, a friend got me a wonderful bottle of wine for my BD. It's called Choco-wine. I think. It's chocolate and red wine and it sounds awful but it's fantastic. Tastes a lot like chocolate martinis but you don't have to mix anything. Very yummy and if you like chocolate you'd like this. And kind of a cool, unusual wine to gift too.

Choco-wine sounds nommie..Poor Baylor could probably use a few slugs now.

Now, I have to root for Butler in the Final Four.

It's called Choco Vine and it's yummo! A nice sweet end to a meal treat for sure.

Ya, I guess since all we have left if Butler. It won't break my heart if I don't actually see the rest of the games. But I'm sure I will.

I agree on the family gatherings, time to pass the baton on to the younger ones, and I don't mind the cooking, just don't like having it at my house.

The wine sounds like a very neat gift idea for my dinner club peeps, we exchange gifts for b/days.

Well, Mema is very tired so off to bed with me!

You know..I am taking some glucose lowering supplements and have been doing pretty lowcarb, so I think that's part of it..

I used to get a SF chocolate latte at my coffee shop, but switched to a Breve (cream) and have done better with that.

Beautiful day in KS..How about Northern KS and IL and TX? Of course, Gord is probably freezing up north.
