I bet that was scary for you and for Alex Carolyn. We have critters in the little stand of trees behind our backyard all the time. We've seen foxes, possums, cats and of course birds and hawks and Bailey thinks she has to bark at all of them. So some nights we have to put her anti-bark collar on her before we let her out. It just makes a high pitched squeal when she barks but the minute we put it on her she totally becomes another dog, lol. She walks very sedately out the door instead of her usual lightning speed so I guess it does the trick.

MK, was your DD coming home this weekend? I'm so sick of winter!!!!!

Cindy, sorry to hear you have the crud that is going around.
Hmmm, Carolyn, quite the wild life at your house. We have raccoons that come in our yard at night also.
Talked to my sis in Iowa yesterday, they are sooo sick of winter this year.
Was up several hours in the night with acid reflux, again. Man, that is so painful and I ended up taking some cough syrup b/c the acid in my throat had burned it and causing repeated couging, then I could not get up this morning. I wih for no acid reflux and normal sleeping patterns.
Got my hair cut and colored yesterday, am growing the stacked back out a little so she didn't do much cutting, just a little shaping.
Not much else going on.

Well..no dead chubby raccoons on the lawn this morning. I don't think he knew it was so far down..Yes, those night animals are everywhere and I'm sure Bailey has very good ears.

Buffy: Have you put lifters on your bed? One friend did that and it really helped. Dh has it when he drinks coffee/soda/orange juice..

Dh made it to the office..They had a 6 a.m. flight from NC. Back to cooking..LOL..



MK: I didn't know your dd was coming home..Is this the end of her apprenticeship??? OR just for a break.

Carolyn - I'm glad the raccoon survived!!

No - DD23 wasn't coming home ( I wish!) she travels back and forth between Syracuse and NYC every week for her internship.

Syracuse ended up with 14 inches of snow!

I'm so sick of winter too!

No she's pretty smart actually, lol. Too smart for her own good sometimes. Or for my own good for sure, lol. But she's easily trained which is a plus. I hope your DD stays safe. Yuck!! It's beautiful here today. I even washed my car!! I never wash my car.

Oh..I didn't understand that your dd had to travel back and forth from time to time..Long drive..

Bailey has his furparents trained, I think.

Yes she does. Quite well too. She acts totally different with me than with DH. I think DH needs more training. By me, not her, lol.

She does it every week for the whole semester - so 16 weeks total.
It's 6-7 hours one way, so she takes a huge double decker mega bus since she'd never find parking in NYC.

MaryKay: Of course, she doesn't drive to NYC..no parking! My mind is still in the Midwest..Well, I'm sure you are happier that she is taking the bus..I know I would be.

Yup, dh's still need training after 30+ years..LOLO..

Off to exercise, then to Tulsa to get Alex some special cat food for his kidneys that I can't get here......It means lunch out.

Got Alex some renal Iams in Tulsa..He is liking it so far..but you know kitty kats..

We ate lunch at the Texas Roadhouse...6 ounce steak, salad and broccoli. I had too many peanuts, so I took 1/2 of it home..I was proud of myself.

Poor KU..but OSU has some great players..They beat KSU, too.

We didn't even watch the game but we heard a bit of it on the radio before we went to the movie. Too bad for the 'Hawks. I wish they could've gone undefeated but they have nothing to be ashamed of.

We went to see Crazy Heart. Great movie but be warned, lots of bad language. I hope Jeff Bridges wins the Oscar. He was great!! We ate at Red Lobster first. 3:30 in the afternoon and we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. There's always a line there, always!!! Ugh!!

Dinner out here too - seared tuna and a salad. It was good - until I got a little wasabi on my fork - just about took my head off - wow!

Hi ladies,

OSU may the "dark horse" in the Big 12..They have got some good hitters..I think it was a big wakeup call for KU.

KSU played well to beat MU..Now the big game on Wednesday, which we can't get. Dh is going to check around to see if he can go to someone's house..LOL..Or we could go to the local sports bar and eat for 2 hours..

Thanks for the headsup on CH..I hate bad language and dh really hates it..But glad the acting was good.

Dd had her last hyno meeting last Friday..She really likes him. So, hopefully it will be helpful for her while she loses.

ackkk..is this weigh-in day? I think I'll weigh tomorrow, as I didn't weigh and already ate something.

MK: I've never tried Wasabi, but heard it can clear your sinuses out really quickly.

OK - I'm at 127 - the same that I've been for the last 2 weeks!
Still 5 - 7 lbs over where I need to be. AND I think only .2 down from Feb 1.

I'll weigh tomorrow but it ain't gonna be good! We had dinner at DD's again today and she always makes such good food. I took dessert and left all the leftovers there, lol. I know myself too well. She said she didn't want it either but that she'd take it to work tomorrow.
