Maybe Sandy has what Buffy has?? I think Brett had it last week.

Well, close game for the Wildcats..91-87. Nebraska kept hitting those 3 pointers..Glad the Wildcats pulled it off..

Good morning..

Hope you all have a great day..AKK..I was up a bit. (lots of salty cheese)..So, I am drinking lots of water today.

Hope Sandy and Buffy are better today. Colds are bummers, but it seems like you have to plug away anyway.

I still feel icky today. I think I have a stomach bug. The cold symptoms went away. I sure wish this would too. I didn't go to Bible study this a.m. and at this point will probably cancel theater tonight too unless a miracle happens here this afternoon.

I'm sure not losing any vacation weight this week but I am staying exactly the same so I guess that's something. Next week should be much better.

Morning peeps.
Finally feel a little better, it started last Thurs. so it is about time.
Still stuffy head but a little more energy than I have had, the past week all I could think about was how soon can I go lay down again. don't feel quite that way today, yayyyy!

Sandy, I didn't have the tummy issues, I hate that feeling. Good thing for me is that I have not had much of an appetite except for wanting cold fruit, that is all that sounded good to me and I am down to 208 this morning. I know "down to 208" looks crazy but for me it is good, I seem to hover around 210 and lately it had been creeping up into the teens. So, got to try to keep this low and as the Dr. said the other day, "let's try a little harder to lose some weight, ok?" :-)

Have a few items from recent shopping trips that need to be returned so I think I will get that organized today and plan on a return trip tomorrow. That needs to be done fairly often at my house it seems. At least I don't keep things, with the tags on and my house become like some on The Hoarders shows. OMG, I watched a couple of those last night that I had taped, I am just amazed and freaked out by that show. And, the fact that almost always, the people who live in them really don't see them as bad or dirty as they are. They always try to clean them up in 2 days, even though the hoarder is allowed to look at everything they are trying to throw out, come on, it would realistically take a week or two with a crew to get through all that. And, I wonder what percent carry on and continue to clean up or slip right back into their hoarding. Shivers

Hi gang..

Had lunch with a friend from church who is having partial knee replacement next week.

Sandy...I hate the tummy bug..I would stay home, too. Ginger ale and saltines are my favorite foods for tummy bug.

Beth is better with her added Nexium..I'm so glad. She will have to watch her diet until she heals.

Buffy:AKKK..The Hoarders..I watch that show when I remember. These people have great emotional problems and they feel secure with all that junk around them.
I know..it's amazing that they get done in 2 days. I'm thinking there are other workers that we don't see in the background. 208 is great!!!

Morning!
Another week has flown by, got very little done but am feeling better each day. Surprising how this holds onto you, even with the antibiotic and all the sleep I have gotten. I finally am feeling well enough I am going to get out with a friend for awhile today.

Sandy, how are you feeling?

Love, hows the WOE going for you in lose some more weight?

Carolyn and MK, thanks for keeping things alive in here while we were under the weather.

Yesterday I got all the laundry caught up, bills paid and then cleaned and reorganized in my bathroom. I like makeup too much to just stick with the few basics really needed and end up with all kinds of tubes, jars, samples, brushes, etc. laying all over the place, so got those organized so that it looks neater at least. I think that would be a fun industry to work in and with, makeup and skin care.

My oldest sister turns 72 next week and has been frozen in Iowa all winter, so need to find her a really cute card to send. Or maybe have flowers delivered with a snow shovel stuck in the middle, LOL.

I think I feel better today. It's a bit too early still to tell. I haven't been up all that long. I have a pile of laundry to catch up on now. I feel like I lost 2 days and you can sure tell it around here. The weather is yucky so I'll just stay in today and try to get caught up.

Buffy, I end up buying too many cosmetics too but I'm working on trying to break that habit, lol. That's a very cute idea for your sister. I wonder if they make tiny little snow shovels for that?

My weight is back up where it was when I got home last week. Too little activity, too little water, etc. Next week I'm getting down to business. I feel like I need to do something new or at least something written out and stick to it. Maybe I'll re-read some of Barry's book. I really don't want to do WW again but sometimes I like the structure of a plan like that just to keep my mind busy with it. Anybody relate to that?

Hi ladies..and frozen Gord.

I have lots of cosmetics I buy, too..Trying to iron out those wrinkles..LOLOL..

Did you watch the Tiger apology?

Cats are so finicky..(no big surprise). I have to put a phosphorus controlling pill in his food to help his kidneys, but I'm sure that cat can smell it..Although, it has no taste.
My vet who is a young man from KState said that they use the same drug for peeps
in 3rd World Countries where they don't have kidney dialysis available..

Honestly, we all fight like crazy with weight..Age + metabolism slowdown + hormone problems, etc..We all have to fight for every ounce..LOL.

Sandy, I know what you mean about having a plan, structure, something to follow. I always do well at first on any new plan b/c it is new and exciting, if you know what I mean by a diet being exciting. But, there is nothing new out there right now. Or, I am just old enough now that I have seen them all come and go, come and go. I want something new, exciting with breathtaking results, how bout that???? LOL

Carolyn, I didn't watch the Tiger apology but I am sure it will be replayed over and over on tv. I am sure he is very very sorry he got caught, now, the real test is if he is really sorry he did it all???

Do some exercise, then do some WW calls this afternoon..KState plays at 5..Oklahoma.

I have a bunch of cooked chicken I need to get creative with..Will check Linda Sue's site.

Have a great day everyone.

I am in on the get rich and skinny club, we could be the new Housewifes of ??? show, LOL.
I have tried hypnosis for WL, it was pretty interesting. The first session went well, like magic I lost 5 lbs that week, I was totally amazed and convinced. From then on, nothing. I never could figure it out, I was so trying to work with them to make it work. Can't figure out what caused the loss the first week. But, it does work for some, heres hoping it works for Beth.

After we write our new diet book, we will write one called "Men who become rich and powerful and the idiotic bimbos who throw themselves at them". Then the sequel, "The fallout" and then the Movie "How stupid are they". Get your keyboards ready girls!

LOLO..I have been dieting since 8th grade when I got up to 130 and was appalled.. So that's 45 years at least..

Cats won, too.. Go Kansas..

MK: Glad your ds did well.. I'm sure he enjoys the summer olympics.

Ice dancing is on tonight..I love that so much.

On the Housewives..I watched the NYC ones..so much "NY" stuff going on. Alot of Midwesterners are offended by NYers..because they are so blunt sometimes. I was born in CT, but my parents friends in NH were from NY/NJish.

Yes..Let's make March The Real Housewives of Diet County..LOL..

Cindy: Do you feel differently on less meds? I'm still trying to decide what to do with my meds. I probably should stay on 3 until I'm tested again..I think I might go sooner than May. I would pay for on-line stuff, but it's 2 hours away and my doctor is pretty
lenient with the tests, etc..

Dh left for NC/VA..

Called dd..she is doing great and really, really liking her hypnotist sessions for weight loss and why we eat, etc..One more to go. It will be interesting to see how it works..
She says she eats what she wants..just less of it.

I win. I weighed 32 pounds at 9 months old! So I've been dieting/overweight for 59 years. I've struggled with my weight my whole life. My mom was a young, inexperienced mom and she said when I'd cry she'd put milkshakes in my bottle! Just think of all those fat cells she created for me that have been crying out to be filled my whole life. Lol.

I admit I love all the housewives' shows. And I really have no idea why. I love just about any reality TV show for some reason. I actually cried during Celebrity Rehab this week. Lol. It was very touching.

I hope Beth's hypnosis works. I wish my friend would try it for smoking.

I have my massage tomorrow finally. I'd rescheduled from Friday. Then my dad's surgery Tuesday.

Carolyn, I felt fine even though I was a tad hyper. My reduced dose has only been for 3 days so we'll see. Hey, do you have a copy of Alex's labs? I'm curious what his creatine is. It may be listed as "cr".

I guess I'm a newby at only dieting 30 years!

Sandy: Omgoodness..milkshakes in a bottle.. I love it.. Yes, the hypnosis guy is really good Beth says and he talks to you alot. It's not that cheap, though, I guess.

I don't have a copy of Alex's bloodwork..The bun and the creatine were slightly elevated, he said.

dh made it to NC..Brett just called..He had a big rib party last night, so he was pleased with himself..LOL. They boiled the ribs for 2 hours in spices, then finished them off in the oven.

Great ice dancing..

Hi..

I was at 152 this morning..

Brrrr..it's a cold one this morning. Need warm clothes still.

I think I'll make an appointment with my doctor to have my thyroid levels checked. She never wants me to take meds before the test..I think my T3 was high for not taking meds for many hours. It was 370 out of 430..and the last T3 I took was the day before in the afternoon..I might have been like Cindy's numbers, but I'll go check and make sure. Pam said it should be in the bottom of the range..like 260 if I hadn't taken any meds..I'm not sure my doctor understands this..
