Happy Valentines day to everyone.

It is also our anniversary. DH got me 2 cards and some gold hoop earrings to wear with my diamond studs, will be very beautiful.

I am afraid I feel worse today, am going back to bed and most probably will go into the doctor tomorrow.

Welcome home Sandy, we missed you.

Akk..lost my post..

Sandy: So glad you are home safe and sound and had a super time, too.. A little warm rain is okay when you can sightsee, etc..

Buffy: yep, get to the doctor tomorrow for sure..Don't want that junk to go into your lungs..and a happy anniversary to you and dh..

Cindy: Sorry you had to work on Valentine's Day..Meatballs sound great and it's cold here...

MKay: Hope you had a nice VD with your dh..

We went out for lunch (nothing new after church)..I had turkey and veggies..

Magical: Welcome..we do various plans, but the Barry plan is 15 percent carbs/65 percent fat/20 percent protein..approximately.

Sandy, did you just see on the news there was about a 30 car pile up on I-70 near Bonner Springs! I thought it looked like about 30 cars. Seriously, you only see a pile up like that when Dallas gets ice!! Haha No offense Buffy!!!

I'm back home and the meat balls are in the oven. I like to pre-cook meatballs in the oven so sauce isn't so greasy. Boy, Valentines Day is a good way to wreck a diet but I did go to the gym on the way home from work.

Yes, Cindy, I saw that. Scary. DGD has to drive back to Topeka tonight and when we were out earlier the roads were terrible. First she has a dinner date in the Plaza. I sure hope he's a careful driver. I figured there wouldn't be classes tomorrow but DD said she thought there was??

We went for Chinese with DD and DSIL and talked about our vacation. They came home a week before we did so we had to fill each other in on what we missed. Them in Mexico and us at home. Thank goodness this storm held off until we got home safe and sound.

Hi..

Yikes..I think they said it was a blinding snow and people couldn't see on the highway..and probably ice on the bottom..Doesn't she take 35 to 75 back to Topeka?? I guess there are many ways to go back..Hope she made it safe and sound.

My friend from NH called and saw the wreck on tv there! I'm glad no one was killed..

MKay: More snow??? We are lucky to be sitting here with cold and wind, but SUN..

Love: LOL..You can do it, girl..Watch your portions and if the mini-meals worked, then do them again..

Well, Alex went back for his bloodwork this morning. He has the very beginnings of kidney problems, so hopefully the meds he gave me will help (sprinkle on food)..Then he suggested K/D food..so I got some to try. I'm so thankful that I took him in for the teeth cleaning checkup otherwise I wouldn't have known about the kidney thing and he would have gotten sick. He doesn't act sick at all, and the vet said he would probably live 2 more years.. So, it's okay..

My body is rejecting all this cold. Sore joints, stuffy nose, so cold!!! Waaahhhhhh. I just need to get over it and get back to real life now, right?

Buffy, feel better soon! My DGS's GF had H1N1 while we were gone. I hope yours isn't that.

Poor Alex, I'm glad they found it early.

You know, Sandy..It's very common to get ill when you go back to a cold climate from a nice warm climate I've heard..Happened to me once.

Thanks for the Alex thoughts..I got some k/d hard food for him to try and he scarfed it down..Well, this time..who knows about tomorrow..

I made a waldorf salad..one apple, celery, nuts, mayo and a bit of cream..I did put in a few raisins..

Hi gang..

Dd emailed me to tell me that she went to the ER for stomach pains yesterday..They did the gallbladder test and they think it's ulcers..She has had them before, so she's back on Nexium. Prayers for healing..

Cold and clear today..Exercise then Bible Study..some ironing thrown in there somewhere..Maybe while I'm watching The Fat People Show (dh calls it).

Many for Beth. I think the lives we live are so bad for our bodies but I'm not sure how it can change. Everybody is on the merry-go-round. Hopefully the nexium will fix her fast. It really helped my DH. He doesn't have to take it anymore. I hope that lasts.

Thanks, gals..Just called Beth and she is better today..She has an appointment with her doctor to see if she needs an endoscopy..I vote "YES"..but I'm not the doctor..Those are easy to do..and painless..

She had some carrot soup before her stomach pains, which were pretty bad..I think it was pureed, so who knows?? She also have 1/2 a bagel for breakie..So, who knows??

Baking Gary his cereal today..He likes it and it is very easy to do..

Cindy: Yup, I'm sure you are so busy at work..Looking forward to your lab results.

Check in later..

hi all .. it's me again.

hoho!

lol!

okay i have one more question.. (my friend asked me)

if she eats efgt way (1400cals) , or low fat way (1400), which diet she will lose faster?

i've read somewhere.. eating less carbs will make you lose faster.. is ketosis necessary?

Hi Miss Love,

Okay..there is such a thing as "metabolic advantage" when you eat LC..You can eat more calories and still lose weight than you can on a lowfat plan. To lose on a lowfat plan, like WWers, you might have to keep it down to 1100-1200 calories..and you might be hungry all the time because of the sugar ups and downs by eating carbs.

Maybe Sandy can chime in as she is an expert WWpeep.

I just a nommie rootbeer float..SF rootbeer and whipped cream..

Yep, Carolyn is right on! I can eat way more if I leave the carbs alone and still lose. I'm one of the lucky ones with a pretty good metabolism. Especially since I got my thyroid straightened out. 1400 cals of meat, veggies and fat will be a LOT more satisfying than 1400 cals of a little fat, a little meat, and lots of veggies, fruits and starches. That's just my opinion.

Hi ladies..

LOL...9:15 is a good time for spinning..at least you are awake..

Yes, it is Ash Wednesday..It's hard to believe it..

I was 152 this morning...the old seesaw..

Beth went to the doctor and he told her to up the Nexium and come back if she wasn't better, then they would do a scope and he might order a special more involved gallbladder test..I guess you have to have a special machine, more involved than an ultrasound..

Off to exercise and then read with my little guy who always forgets his book..LOL He is lucky that I'm not his mom.

I had to take my dad to the Dr. this a.m. and they're going to scope the knee he had replaced 13 months ago. It's been giving him some problems ever since his shoulder replacement. What next???? I sure hope this fixes him. Then I went to get my driver's license renewed. I lucked out and was in and out of there in under 15 minutes!! Woohoo. I still feel very irky today. I must've caught a bug. I sure wish it would leave.

Dinner theater was good but I put in a very bad night trying to sleep. I felt like I was awake all night but DH kept waking me up because he said I was snoring so bad, lol. I'm pooped. And I have a full day and night tomorrow. Finally Friday I have a massage scheduled. I can't wait!!

Oh dear..you know those knees are so tricky..Hope he gets some relief.
You will really need that massage on Friday.. I hear ya about the snoring..Do you have a guest room? LOL..

The jury is still out on Alex's food..Honestly, it looked pretty good..ground beef, rice,
chicken broth..(one recipe had clams in it..all ground up). We shall see how it goes.

Another drive by, went to the Dr. Monday, I have what he termed "everyone else has", he gave me cough syrup and antibiotic. I am still sick and am headed for bed. Hopefully tomorrow will be a turning point.

Cyber hugs, no germs, to everyone. Sorry to hear about others who are sick, Sandy, are you better? and DD's, dads, etc. Take care everyone.
