Need to Do SOMETHING
Hello,
I just turned 40 and so it is time for me to get back down the 20 pounds I have gained in the past 3 years. I will start with 20 and then go from there. Small steps. I have been on every diet imaginable. I don't like counting calories/food/ etc. However I realize that is key. I have Barry Groves book and was reading it this weekend and browsing this site. I have done Atkins, South Beach, Wendy Chant.. before. I know that lower carb I feel better. However I hate to give up fruit or the occasional EZ bread or whole wheat pasta altogether. With this plan can you have those things occasionally or is it all what fits into the numbers? Which makes sense. Wondering where to start on this plan. I do have a trip to Vegas planned on the 4th of February so should I start now or wait til I get back? Sorry for so many questions. I just am confused. Know I want to feel better and get some weight off. Both my mind and body (arthritis) feels better when I do. Does anyone track their intake on Ipod app. and if so which one? Thanks in advance for the advice. ![]() Last edited by lilblackdress70; 01-25-2010 at 08:28 AM.. |

Well, Barry never says you can't have this or that..However, you can't have it all or every day, etc..Try including in your carb count of 40 for the day, spreading it out during your meals.
He is not big on grains at all, but everyone is different. I would start now so you can get a head start for Vegas. This plan is simple..no sugar or junk.. |

Not sure about the book you are talking about but it's a combination of exercise and eating right. A typical day for me consists of
Breakfast: 2 Egg whites + 1 wheat toast + tea Gym: ~1hr of cardio or weights Protein Shake Lunch - Avoid carbs, somethign like chicken breast with some veggies Apple Orange Dinner - Avoid all carbs Do something like this for 5 days and watch your body change! |
