Mac-nut oil
I read something in passing about the benefits of macadamian (you know what i mean) nut oil. I can't find it though.
Has anyone cooked with this? |

I just bought some online and got it yesterday, I haven't cooked with it yet, I'm sitting here thinking what I can make with it for dinner tonight. I will let you know when I do. You can buy it online at many places, just google, or you can get it at netrition.com
NOW Foods Macadamia Nut Oil I read that it was supposed to better for you than olive oil, and you can also use it at higher temps than evoo |

I love mac nut oil. It does however impart a very roasted nut flavor to everything. I mix 1/2 cup of mac nut oil with 1 stick of soft butter and some sea salt to make a great butter blend.

I finally cooked, when you heat the oil it has a very nutty smell!! I could taste the undertones in my food, but it wasn't overpowering. I can imagine that it might not mix with some foods, but not sure what yet. I made scallops and shrimp and they were fine.
