Hi gang,

Walked 200 calories worth at my faux Curves, which is a drop in the bucket..LOL..

Love, WOWOWO..you go girl!!!

Dh got his haircut for his New England trip..I hope they don't get snow when he is driving around, but it's winter and it's New England.

MaryKay: Gosh, my friend went to 3 funerals in the past 2 days..

Buffy: You need a day to relax..for a change.

Sandy: You will be lying on the beach before you know it.. How fun is that???

Honestly, that Mexican pork soup I made up was so good..Cumin was the spice of choice when you are doing something Mexican for pork, I think.

Well, KState versus OSU this afternoon..and KU is playing???? earlier in the afternoon.

We saw "Book of Eli" last night..It was good..a bit depressing, but a good message.
I didn't like it when he ate the cat, though..

Had a nice dinner out..in Coffeyville..Our 2 nice restaurants closed in our town, so we had to travel south a bit..

dh left for his NEngland trip..I hope he doesn't run into snow..probably rain, though.

Morning All!!

Started work yesterday with an organ donation. Not fun for the donor but many families now have hope.

Boiling chicken breasts to make chicken burritos. I love those! I use Mama Lupes LC tortillas from Netrition and a big dab of refried beans with HOT salsa. Yummmm!

Thyroid is doing well. I am bouncing all over the place. I am on 3 grains a day of imported Armour and will get labs in 2 weeks after being on it 2 months. I think while in Egypt I ate a solid 3000-4000 calories a day yet lost a pound. I am finding now back home I easily will drop a pound if I under eat a day. Yeah, thyroid!!

We celebrate my BFs mom's 90th birthday in March. She has 24 hour in house care due to her AD. But she is funny and still calls numbers at family Bingo!!

Morning!
MK, yay, I slept at least 9 hours too. And, only woke up once during.
Love, I have never made the statement "I think I am losing too fast", not sure what that feels like, LOL. Yes, rehydrate and get well soon from the flu.
Cindy, I love boiled chicken in anything, hate the canned stuff.
Carolyn is right, he did eat a cat, but out of desperation for food. Harsh movie.
Carolyn, your town sounds like the little towns in Iowa where I used to live, where there used to be 3 or more local restaurants, they are lucky if they have a pizza hut or a little cafe left open and they are usually pretty bad. It is so sad to see those once vibrant mid-western towns dry up.
Have some office work to do today, got some done yesterday, paid all my bills online, then when I went back later, I realized I had not hit send, so, the time expired and none of them got paid, duh???
Nice and sunny here today though, that is wonderful to see.

Hi..

Sending you some sun, Mary Kay..It's nice here, but a tad bit cool 45.

Cindy: Good for you on the thyroid meds..I ever hopeful this combo will work for me this month to lose weight..I've also taken up Qigong (DVD) which is a very gentle deep breathing exercise program. It's supposed to be great for metabolism and digestion.

Buffy: Yup..our town is about 9,000, but like any town, we have had layoffs so the
expense report peeps aren't coming into town as much. So sad for the 2 nice restaurants..However, we do have 3 Chinese and 5 Mexican restaurants and a few other assorted ones.

Cindy: Bless you on the organ donation..Not fun for the donor, but at least they feel that some good came out of a tragedy. Plus, I'll be anxious to hear about your labs, too.

Sandy: You must be getting anxious for the trip..I know I would be.. I love the beach, too.

Hi guys..

It's a bit chilly here and we are getting some snow on Thursday, I think..No big plans for that day..LOL, but I had better get some more bird seed for the little ones and the big fat squirrels.

I was 152 this morning, but I was pretty good yesterday as I grabbed a bunless burger at McD's for lunch and had some of the soup for dinner..

Meeting tonight..I have to speak a bit..I don't mind..I have to make a fruit plate, so I have my melon in a bag, hoping it to be nice and ripe..I also bought one of those
little watermelon balls..grapes, and pineapple..The strawberries didn't look so great, but I know peeps like them.

KU plays MO tonight..That should be a good game, huh?

Morning!
Have heard from my relatives that parts of the midwest had fog for like 8 days straight and that it was making them crazy, very depressing when you are in a fog all the time. I can't imagine it for that many days.
Sunny and cool here today. My car is supposed to be done this evening so I can pick it up and quit driving the Hummer, yayyyyy!
Got to see the little ones again yesterday, DD#2 came out our way to DD#3, so I went over to see them there. Baby is growing and filling out very nicely. DGS up to usual antics of getting into anything that has buttoms to push or knobs to turn.
Office work early today, then off to meet DH to get the car. Not much else going on here.

I'm cold again!! Brrrr!! It's not really too cold but it's windy and cloudy. Again.

I've been organizing stuff for my trip and of course I know I'll over pack. Again.

I sure hope KU kicks butt tonight. Again.

I was up on the scale this a.m. Again.

I think I need a vacation. AGAIN!!

I can't wait.

LOLL..Again.. Sandy..

Well, my watermelon was a bust and I threw it out, but the canteloupe ripening in the paper bag was good/with grapes/and pineapple..I hope I don't have leftovers. Grapes are so high in carbs, but they are addictive.

I will miss The Bachelor tonight because of a church meeting..LOL..Oh well...church is more important than The Bachelor..at least we know God loves us forever..

What is a ragdoll kitty? I've never heard a cat described in that way? I'm so sad for your friend. It's so very hard to lose a pet.

MK, I actually see a small patch of blue. Could it be sky???? It's still cold though.

DH and I took the car to the repair place and the roads aren't that bad, so I think a friend and I are going to go.

He has some shopping to do - he's hiking in Patagonia in February - and I can get a short visit in.

The Ragdoll Cat is a large breed of feline, best known for an easygoing and mellow nature. Possibly the most loving and agreeable type of cat, the ragdoll would be an excellent choice as a pet.

Morning peeps!
I had never heard of a Ragdoll cat either, so when I couldn't sleep in the middle of the night, I was online reading about ragdolls. I think our Ashley is a far flung cousin, or something. She sure sounds like what they were describing but when we found the litter of kittens in the shop out back, there were no papers in the kitten nest, so, guess she can't be a purebred
We were quite surprised to see that little white kitten nestled in there though, b/c the mother is calico and tended to have calico marked kittens or dark tiger striped kittens. This litter had 3 orange/white kittens and this beautiful little white one. 3 of these 4 are the ones who now live inside with us and the very disgusted Tinker. We couldn't catch the 4th one. Remember, we were going to bring them in, tame them, get them fixed and then release them? Well, the release date has never arrived. DH is quite fond of them. But, back to Ashley, the little white female, she does have a different fur than any of the others, even though one of the others has long hair. She is the one who thinks I am her mommy cat and snuggles up to me at night. I was so puzzled until I happened to see a cat that looked just like her, visiting in our back yard one day, aha, me thinks I know where little white kitty came from.
Picked up my car from the shop yesterday, so happy to have it back.
Today work in the office, maybe a load of laundry and I need to cook something, if I can get my brain to think of something good.
Tomorrow we might go to Austin to take some things down to my son and DDIL.
As usual, the week will fly by.
Sorry about the ice and snow gals, my cousin in Iowa just keeps telling me this has been the worst winter ever, she is so tired of it.

Hi ladies..

Too much salty cheese yesterday, so I'm up 2 pounds.. Our weigh-in is Sunday..
Gotta think of another name for Feb.. Sweetheart Challenge...Healthy Heart Challenge..?????? help..

Gosh...ice and snow, MKay? I think we are getting something on Thursday, so I'm stocked up with cat and bird food..

My friend who lost her ragdoll kitty, Sheba is an old maid retired school teacher..and this was her baby..really..So, it has been hard on her, but she knew when it was time to let go..even though it was hard. She is in my Bible Study..I told her she needed to share about Sheba going to kitty cat heaven, but I don't know if she will..

Sandy: Yup, KU beat the pants off of MU..Now KState plays Baylor at Baylor..(crossing fingers for the Wildcats).

Buffy: I'm amazed when litters of kitties have different colors of kitties in them. When we got Alex..(see picture)..He is a flame point Siamese, but all his brothers looked like him, but some of them had bentover tails and my dd wanted one with a normal tail..Even though we thought Alex was Emma..NOT..

Good morning..

Lunch out is always fun...

I think I'm getting a cold..so I have to stock up on herbs. I like Bee's Winter Defense, but I need some echinecea, too.(sorry about the spelling).

Have to get my hair cut today, eyebrows waxed...read with my little kids..and exercise, then I'm home for the day.

Kitty stories are the bestest stories for sure. I got a kitty how are you doing card for my friend who lost her beloved Sheba. She didn't show up at Bible Study, so I told the ladies and they were all very sad.
