Love, congrats on the 5 lbs, just that amount makes a person feel so much better and thinner. Keep it up and you will feel awesome by vacation time.
I think I will probably have a dozen grandchildren. Me thinks my 3 daughters are done but, my DS and DDIL want kids and they have none so far. I think my DSD is done with the triplets, but, there is a chance they could have another, she has mentioned that she would like to experience having just one child at a time :-) and DSS is divorced with 2 boys, if he would remarry?? DD#3 said she was done with the DGS 10, but when she held the new baby she sure had that longing look in her eyes and her DH had no children when they married last year and his mother is bugging them about having a child. So, who knows??? I just love them so much and am happy I am close to them, they really add sooo much to my life.
MK, you are a dear to take your mom to a restaurant like that, I am sure it was hard and who knows if she even enjoys it?? I know the last time I took my great-aunt for a little ride away from the nursing home she was in, she was so afraid, I realized later that I was not doing her any favors by taking her away from her safe surroundings.

Sandy, are you coming down with something? You didn't feel very good a few days ago, you might be getting clear down with something. Have you taken your temp? Get lots of liquids and rest.
I just got a new thermometer, after DH broke my last one, it is one you swipe across your forehead and it works great. I tried it out on DH, myself and one of the cats today, haha.
Off to bed, my local Merle Norman lady, from whom I have bought my makeup for years, is going to be on Good Morning Texas tomorrow to talk about some of the new products and I want to watch her. We have become friends and I will go in later to tell her I saw her on TV.

i need to eat mini meals. it's just me..

when i eat the entire meal.. another 2hrs.. i wanna eat another meal..

i think the best way for me to eat is eating mini meals.. 2-3 tbsp of chicken with some salad.. and another 1-2 hrs.. have more chicken with salad.... hohoho!!

i've been drinking green vegetable juice... yum!! no sugar..

My mom even asked to go out, but it wasn't fun for anyone . . . . actually DH probably had a good time!

I use Merle Norman, too and really love it. Believe it or not our small town has a counter in a children's shop..

MaryK: I remember when my friend would come to NH with me (when I babysat Mom) and Mom's favorite thing was to go to Dunkin Donuts and get donut holes..and ride around. She would say, "I like those things."..It is really sad to see our moms not themselves, isn't it? Then I think of my ex-roomie who died of AD at 59..that is really sad.

Well, Shawn's dad fell yesterday when he was walking and broke a finger and was pretty bruised up. He had a mini-stroke a couple of weeks ago and his right side is
still weak. He is only 63 and a Type II who is not so good at eating LC..at all.

It's my hands that are freezing so I guess I'll have to start wearing gloves around, lol. I'm better today. I just got chilled yesterday and couldn't shake it. I'll try to stay warm today. I'm going to the gym so that should help. I have other stuff I need to do too but don't know how much I'll get accomplished.

Friend picking me up to go have lunch and do a little shopping/returning of things.
I just noticed that I have an appt. tomorrow at 1:00 to go pick up items from resale shop that didn't sell and take spring stuff in, so later today I will have to go through things and find some spring items to take. Maybe I made enough on the winter things to buy my lunch today

Got my new compounded meds in the mail..T3 27mcg and T4 114mcg..It's in a time-release capsule that you take once a day..The pharmacist said they have had good luck with these. We'll see..

Yes, thank you Carilyn. My HR last night at work was 68 and my BP was 103/63 so all is well. I wonder if I was dehydrated as we had just left Cairo. I like the sound of your compounded meds. Let us know how that goes.

Hi!
I bought a new scale to weigh on starting when I get back from vacation. It weighs about 1# heavy so I don't want to start using it now, lol. It lights up so I can see the numbers in the dark and it weighs in tenths instead of just halves. I need that you know, lol.

Off to Bible study this a.m. and then I'm taking Dad to the Dr. this p.m. So full day here.

Had to get up and around, DH said AC company coming by to service furnace, is this the fall service? I forget? If so, not very prompt, if spring, nice and early???

DD must be so excited to start her internship in NYC MK, let us know how she is liking it and her experiences in the city.

Took tons of stuff to resale shop and she took all but 2 items and, I picked up the few items from last fall that did not sell and a check for $113. Not much but I figured I averaged about $2 an item, it is just good to get things cleared out of the house. Then, she told me about another shop that isn't quite so picky, so, I took the remaining items there. Now, if I do this about 4-5 more times, I might finally be able to reclaim some closet space. This time I took sandals, handbags, some jewelry and clothes.

Today I have a facial at 2:00, Origins is giving free mini facials, of course in hopes you buy some product and I love their products so probably will. If you have rough heels, they have the best heel cream I have found, it is called Reinventing the Heel and it is great if you use it every night.

Car still in shop so driving DH's Hummer, gosh I hate to drive that big thing.

New baby and brother doing well, and DD is recovering nicely, she said she feels great. I have some things for the baby that I will probably take down on Sunday, I am dying to hold the baby again.

Ordered some Bragg's Apple cider vinegar with the Mother. I have found that vinegar helps my acid reflux a lot, I have gotten into the habit of drinking some in water every night before bed, so, figured I should get the good stuff that hasn't stripped of all the healthy benefits. Vinegar also stops hiccups in their tracks.

Went shopping yesterday in Owasso, then served our church's meal for the poor peeps, so I was busy..

Cindy: I love those pictures, girl..The kids are darling..and those nanners looked good.
2 days into my compounded stuff and so far, so good. So, if I like it better than Westhroid, I may stick with it..We will see..

Buffy: Do you have a Whole Foods?? I know that most health food stores carry the Bragg and it's good to know that it helps acid reflux..as dh has it, too. Hey, and $112 is a good deal, plus you are good at recycling so others can enjoy the clothes, too.

MKay: How fun for your dd..NYC is so exciting and there are so many great restaurants..I'm sure she is enjoying it immensely..Brett forgot his new suitcase that we bought him. So, if he has to go somewhere for an interview, I told him to buy a
new one (folding, etc.). He will be home in March,so he can take it back then.

Am making some Mexican pork soup...We had leftover pork from the dinner, so I thought I'd make a soup..up..Tomatoes, chicken broth, Mexican hominy, garlic, onion, red pepper, cumin for the spice and the pork and I did add a can of beans. It smells good and I think cumin goes better with pork (the other white meat).

hi all. i lost 2 inches from the waist. i have 11 days more..
