If I knew who the winner was this early in the game, I wouldn't even bother to watch, lol. It takes all the fun out of it for me.

I cleaned my shower walls and doors this a.m. already. Now I need to dry my hair and run some errands. I don't want to b/c it's all cloudy and gray and looks cold. I'd rather just stay in. But these errands can't wait, so off I go.

I'm glad my cat has a litterbox..LOLO.. He just hops on the bed around 6:30 to wake us up..and he can't even tell time and it's the same time each morning..What a genius..

Sandy...what good girl..I need to do that, too.

Did my exercising this a.m. and I have started to add 30 minutes of treadmill to my other things. The treadmill says I burn 125 calories, so that covers my latte that I have afterwards.

Off to Bible Study..The KC kitties are coming this weekend, so I'll have to tidy their room up a bit.

Hey, Love..Hmmm..how much coating is on them? That's what you have to worry about, unless you are frying them naked..LOL..

People in OK love fried okra.

I'm making a new recipe tonight, Bracioles. They always talked about 'em on Sopranos and the Italian gal on Desperate Housewives mentioned them awhile back so I looked them up. I left out the bread crumbs as a lot of recipes didn't even call for them. I'll let you know how they turn out. They're also called Italian Beef Rolls.

My little girl's birthday is tomorrow. She'll be 41!!!

Love, I think it's good that you love okra.. Honestly, they are a bit slimey for me, but they are chosen dish of the Okies.

I made Bracioles once..Let me know how yours turned out and what kind of beef you used. One lady on the recipe thread said that she used sliced roast beef for her
manicottis..with the ricotta and the sauce.. You are way too young to have a dd who is 41, Sandy.

Thanks Carolyn, that's why I love you!! I actually feel too young to have a dd that old, lol. But I do! Did u like your bracioles? I used extra thin sliced sirloin and put prosciutto in it too.

The bracioles, meh. Way too labor intensive and we both said we'd much rather have Italian sausage or meatballs. But now we know what it is and what it tastes like. We ate them all though so you know they weren't terrible, lol. And mine were tough too. I'm glad I at least tried them. Now on to bigger and better things, lol.

Hi..

Ran around all day long..I made an appointment for Alex (cat) to get his teeth cleaned.
I'm sure he won't be happy but they knock him out, so he won't feel a thing..Dh has to be here when I take him in to the vets, so we can get him into his carrier..No small task.

How is Mom doing, MKay???

My soninlaw's dad had a small stroke this past week..No hospital other than the ER and a doctor's visit on Monday to say here's a pill and take it easy. But the kids will be here this weekend so Shawn can see how his dad is doing.

Wow, that was probably really scary for your SIL. Does the dad have any lingering effects?

Well, he had a bad stroke about 8 years ago and is on disability from it for short term memory loss..So Connie said his right side was slightly affected and he is very sleepy..
So, let him sleep, I said..LOL.

Morning peeps.
Came home last night so that I could go to dinner club and spend the night with DH, so romantic, he was asleep when I went to bed and up when I woke up, LOL. I will get a few things done here at home, then go grocery shopping for DD and then back to her house. The baby is such a good baby that things are going really well. DD just can't lift DGS 19 months so someone has to be there at all times but that isn't hard with daddy, Mema, and the daytime nanny.
Sorry to hear about Shawn's father Carolyn, and yes, he will sleep a lot, the brain's way of healing. When I had my first little stroke I fell asleep everywhere I went for awhile, if I sat down, I fell asleep. Look at me now, still clicking along, albeit sideways at times, LOL.
Supposed to start raining here again either today or tomorrow so overcast and dreary. But, just chilly, not so cold as last week.
Take care dear friends, will check back in when I can.

Hi ...

Grandma Buffy..thanks for stopping by..Yes, that 19 month old would pop your dd's stitches/staples/tape for sure..So glad you and your dh had some "quality time" together..LOL

What's up with MKay? Hope her mom is okay.

How is your Washburn dgd doing? Hopefully, she is all better and back on track this semester.

KU almost lost it yesterday, didn't they?

My Washburn DGD hasn't started back yet. Next Tuesday. I think she's ready to go back to school. She worked most of her break. She did very well first semester even with all the illness so I hope this one is as good for her.

I fell asleep at the end of the game last night and haven't even checked the scores. I guess we pulled it out? I've been feeling a little irky (medical term there) and have been very tired the last 2 days. I might have a little bug.

Gosh, I'm glad that your dgd did well her first semester..I hate it when they are sick during real school time..

Well, it was nip and tuck for a while, then the Jayhawks pulled ahead in the last part.
You need to rest if you are irky.. Take care of yourself.

All that house stuff won't be going anywhere.....enjoy your kids! And put the house out of your thoughts.

I'm still not feeling up to par today and I have so much to do. But it probably won't all get done. And it'll all still be there too. Sadly.

Hi ladies..

Where is the maid when you need one??? Have a little more vacuuming to do before kids come tomorrow afternoon.

I was a good wife today..I washed dh's car and took it to get the oil changed and they replaced some lights, too..However, I found a bag with empty lunch stuff in the front seat..Chips, sugary chocolate milk, and a wrapper from a sandwich..No wonder dh isn't losing weight..

Snow is melting like crazy here, which is nice.

MKay: Enjoy your boys..When does your older one go back to school???

Sandy: Hope you feel better..

Thanks ladies.
I took the boys to lunch and then DS20 to the mall.
He leaves on Monday.

I know the bathrooms will wait until tomorrow - or Sunday!

Sandy - I hope you feel better!

Carolyn - melting here too!!! Though it is down to 32 now.
It was 44 yesterday!

That's a lot to lose in a short amount of time, but just stick very carefully to the plan and you will lose!

Mom's birthday celebration today, then church and maybe a movie!

What's everyone up to?
