Well I think bunnies fill their time with "other" activities. Maybe that could be a new diet plan, lololol.

I've been very good today. All I've had so far is cream and eggs. Leftover roast for dinner tonight.

Both DS's are home 17 & 20. DS20 won't go back to college for a couple of weeks.

ONE WHOLE DAY!! I did it!!!! I'm having a real problem with water consumption though. It's very hard for me to drink a lot when it's cold outside. Water, that is, lol. I need to work hard on that. I wasn't hungry at all all day though so that was good. And I was pretty busy which helps me too.

Dentist tomorrow first thing. Ugh!! And it's supposed to be -5* in the a.m. I don't wanna go out!!!!!

I know about the water and cold weather..I can drink room temp water and it doesn't bother me.

Oh..good luck at the dentist.

I'm checking the temp in Cairo for fun. Okay..it's around 60's and up to 80's on Friday..Nights are around 55..So, very pleasant and not too hot for Cindy.

Is Cairo anywhere close to Dubai? I would've loved to have seen that bldg. with all the fireworks and especially from an airplane. I hope she has a wonderful time.

I'm just going for a cleaning but I hate any time I have to spend at a dentist.

Me too. My mouth is always tired from being open so long!

See you all in the morning.

And I wish I was in Cairo!

Speaking of dentists..We had a program tonight at our Newcomer's meeting..A local dentist came to tell us about the Mission of Mercy Dentist Clinic they set up for free dental care for 2 days..It moves all over KS..They pull alot of teeth, as you can imagine..
I'll probably volunteer to do something little..

Morning!

It's 0° here! Why is it colder here than Wisconsin or New York?

Anyway - I choose my bread by the fiber content. I don't have bread very often, but I've used a Flax & Fiber bread or the Ezekiel bread in the past.

Hmm..bread in extreme moderation and MKay..said it about the fiber. In the States, we have low carb bread, but I remember when I was in Weight Watchers, we toasted our one piece of bread and then sliced it in half the whole way so it made 2 whole pieces..LOL..Love, have you made Atkins Rolls? They involve eggs, sour cream or cottage cheese or cream cheese? They make a nice bread.

That's right, Mary Kay..our kids don't go back to the dorms until next week..With Brett's apartment, he can go early..which is good for him as some of hs friends are there. I told him to get his suit cleaned just in case of an interview..

I love my new cling on the window thermometer..DH thought it was great, too..$7.00..LOl

Well, some of this pizza weight is coming off..Down to 154! AKKKK.

Hope everyone stays warm and cozy.

Up early this a.m. I had 3 calls that were trying to FAX in the middle of the night. There's something wrong with our FAX phone line apparently. Grrrr. They were supposed to FAX by 7:15 p.m. I think they were a wee tad late about it.

Very bittler cold here and I still don't want to go out anywhere. But I will.

I lost a little today. I'm exactly the same weight I was on this day last year. Now I just need to get the rest of it off and keep up with my workouts too.

My in-laws are very sick right now. They're supposed to go to the Drs. today. I hope they do. My DH said his dad sounded awful!!

Well, my dentist visit went well. No pain, so that's always good. But I got a treatment plan estimate that was very painful, lol. Thank goodness we have pretty good dental insurance. But it's still $$ I hate to spend on that kind of stuff. I've been putting them off for a long time though and now I finally feel like I'm "chewing" on borrowed time so to speak. So I "bit" the bullet and made an appt. to start the process. Ok, enough puns for the day.

At least it's sunny here today so far so at least it feels a bit warmer than it is. We have a wireless thermometer so we can check the outside and the inside temperatures at the same time. My DH is a weather addict too. Of course, his whole adult work life has depended on the weather so I can understand that.

I had eggs and crispy bacon for brunch and coffee and cream earlier. I'm fixing a couple of roasts later just so I'll have lots of leftovers to snack on in the fridge.

I also got my water started for today. I might not get in a full 8 glasses but at least I'll get more than 1/2 a glass.

hi~
thanks for the replies.

i've heard of atkins rolls.. but cottage cheese is so expensive.. im looking forward to buy cottage cheese soon... does it last long? ~ we have whole grain reduced carb bread here.. it's like.. 4g net carbs per 2 slices.... are those okay?

in my country, we eat rice as our main meal, protein and veggies are the side dishes. lol. funny. we serve huge portion of rice. 2 cups of rice , 1/4 chicken breast, 2-3 tbsp of vegetables.. lol.. 2 cups of rice.. lol!! i can eat 3/4 from the rice cooker. cheese and milk are for occasional treat. but i love western food!

i've noticed thinner people eat high fat meals.. the skinnier they are, the fattier the meals. lol~ i mean, people who already skinny.

Love - OK which country are you in again??

Sandy - what do they have to do to you at the dentist?

I'm trying to get more water in too - so far 2 glasses! That doesn't sound like much, but it's good compared to what I was doing!

No kidding, happy birthday to you..Wowza...That's alot of dental work. My mouth is full of fillings, too..Most are still there with a crown thrown in..$$$$$

Love: That bread sounds fine, but try it in moderation so you will see if it stops you from losing or not. Cottage cheese lasts about a week in the fridge..You only use 3 Tbs. for 6 rolls, though.

MKay: Sometimes when I remember, I drink a big glass of water first thing in the a.m...That helps remind me.

Morning peeps, Hi to Love, thanks for popping in. The rev rolls are very good and you can use sour cream to make them, doesn't have to be cottage cheese.

Ouch Sandy, I have already been through most all of that dental work you have coming up. Crowns are very expensive and they usually feel funny at first, but after awhile feel like you own teeth. Or whatever you remember your old teeth feeling like. I hate how ugly teeth get as people age, I would love to have those expensive caps that the stars all have, to go with my other bling, LOL.

Got my haircut/color yesterday, so love my hair again for 5 weeks, until it needs it again. Nothing different but sometimes the cut just comes out better than others and this one is a good one.

We are bracing for our version of the winter storm, very cold for TX and DGS told me there might be a few snow flurries.

DD trying in vain to keep busy while waiting for tomorrow for the C-section. Inlaws are coming in tonight though, so that should take her mind off things. I think the names are Ava or Lucas so we are waiting to see which one comes out :-)

Just office work today, maybe lunch with friend and a quick trip to Ulta, they have my hair spray on sale, then DGS 10 is walking to my house after school.

The storm is here and is sticking around a while they say. I got all my stuff done. Including going to pick up meds for my dad. I gave him another lesson in how to call me on my cell phone. I hate thinking I'm done with errands just to get home to a phone message that he needs something. If he'd call me when I'm already out and about it would be so helpful. I think he finally "got" it today, lol.

I've been munching on roast beef today and right now I'm freezing!!

Hi gang..

Did my Wallie run because of the "weather" we are supposed to get tomorrow..I heard you peeps up north were getting it today.

I got my hair dye..trying a lighter brown to see what happens..

My dd got the whole thyroid panel test done today in an independent lab. I'm curious what her results are. Her doctor only treats with Synthroid and she has 1/2 of a thyroid due to surgery, so I am just anxious to see if she has any T3 going on..Now to find a doctor who would treat her and "gets it"..

I am shocked that I was 151 this morning..I don't know why except that I have been pretty good..

Roast beef is always good..I think I'll make some cabbage rolls for dinner tonight..No rice, of course, but I like them alot and forget to make them.

Buffy: Your little grandbunny will be born tomorrow.. Prayers for a safe delivery and a safe journey to the hospital..Both names are nice and a little different, which is also nice and easy to spell..

I love those names too. And prayers for a safe delivery and recovery for all.

I've never made cabbage rolls but I do like them. Yum.

I need to think about touching up my roots but I think I'll wait another week or so so they'll look fresher for vacation.

Anxious to hear what DD finds out Carolyn. Where did she go?
What did she ask for?

I'm finished eating for the night.

I didn't hit my percentages . . . .

Fat (52%)
Carbs (23%)
Protein (25%)

Not enough fat and too many carbs.

Assistance ladies?!

Sandy: She just went to a clinic where you get your blood done for $85..I paid for it so she would go. You don't need a doctor's orders and they email you the results..I'm interested, too.

Mary Kay: What carbs did you have? Did you subtract the fiber??
