Morning!!

Great news!! DD23 has 2 internship interviews this week for next semester.
Thursday is a phone interview with Dance Magazine!
Friday she has to go to NYC to interview with Elle!

Even if she doesn't get either one, it's great experience.
Fingers crossed!

Do I seriously have to weigh today?! *pout*

It's 36° here. I can't decide if I should walk (briskly) or go to the gym!
I have a dentist appt at 9:00, shopping, and lunch with a friend and her 2 year old at 12:30. Hmmmmm

It's quite brisk here too. I'm sitting here with color on my hair, lol. So no walking yet for me. And I have a whole long list of "to do's" for today. I hope I get them all done.

Weigh in results: 147.5

I think that's .5 down but no big whoop here, lol.

What a great opportunity for your DD MK! I bet she's thrilled!

Well, it's all in the signature. Up 1 pound but I'll say it's PJ's
Colder weather is starting here too, MK. Highs in the 30's starting tomorrow with nights in the 20's. Here we go! DC14 is on the floor vent waiting for the heat to kick on. Love, if your wondering who DC's are, they are our cats and DHOR is my 2 horses. I have a BF but no DD's, no DS's or DGD/DGS so I came up with DC's for the cat's and DHOR for the horses so I had someone too!

Good morning..

The scale said 150, but yesterday it was 153..I'm not believing today's numbers, but I'm happy.

MaryK: That is fabulous for your dd..Internships can be the key to employment, which is very nice.

Yikes, Sandy..it's 33 here today so far..I guess I'll wear a coat. Good luck with your hair coloring..I wear an old bathrobe, use old towels and do it in our oldest bathroom.

Cindy: Those winter pj's are heavy, aren't they? I'm sure it is water weight and knowing you, you will get it off fast.

Off to exercise..

How's everyone else doing?? Buffy? Love?

Making a chuck roast in my crockpot with cream of celery soup and dry onion soup mix with some water added..Hope it turns out okay. I actually used the crock pot liners I bought a few months ago..I remembered...

Oh, I love roast too! I make a large roast one day, then shred the meat and make shredded beef enchiladas. I LOVE shredded beef enchiladas. My BF is starting to get tired of turkey so I'd better go get a buffalo roast. There is a meat market in DeSoto that sells pastured buffalo with no antibiotics and no grain finish. It makes great roasts, not steaks though. Way too tough.

I went to the gym - 35 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes of arms and abs.

Then the dentist (no cavities! ) the pet store, the mall, and lunch with a friend and her 2 1/2 year old. So cute!!

Then Starbucks and a dog walk.

It's 53 out and supposed to be our last wonderful day!

I weighed today - and ewww - but I've been peeing a lot (is that TMI? ) and hopefully tomorrow will be better! I'll take it whatever it is . . . . promise!

Carolyn - I'm slowly decorating . . . .

Cindy - definitely the PJ's!

I was going to decorate Saturday but I didn't. I can't remember why but there was a good reason. I just know it! I really do not enjoy decorating anymore. I feel like a Scrooge about it. But I still love Christmas. I just wish it was more about the reason for the season instead of all the hoopla surrounding it. And trying to find gifts for people who already have everything is very frustrating. But I'm making good progress on that part of it so far, lol.

Morning!

Another full day!

I'm leaving here at 8:45 with a friend ~
Driving 45 minutes to Springfield.
Taking DD25's purse to her.
Visiting my mom and decorating her apartment for Christmas.
Going to an Upscale Resale Shop.
Going to the Lincoln Museum.
Lunch.
Mass with the Bishop to dedicate the new cathedral.
Hopefully home by 5:00.

Looks like the weight isn't budging - maybe we should weigh-in in the middle of the month when I'm skinnier!

Hi everyone..

Well, I was at 151 today..which is my happy place for a while.. I need to get down to 40land..

Sandy, I'm glad I am not the only one who doesn't care for decorating, but I like it when it is done. Simple is the key. I need to give away some of the stuff I don't use anymore, too. We don't have outside Christmas lights. Our neighbors and many people in town really decorate the outside with lights. I think Gary is too old to get on the ladder..LOLOL.. Plus we don't have an outside plug.

My car is in the shop today..Engine light came on..Grumble..It's a good thing we have 2 cars and Old Red..the pickup. Gary is driving Old Red today..

Exercising in the a.m., reading to my little boy who is way behind in his reading, then one of our exercising friends is having a lovely luncheon..with wine. No knitting this afternoon for me. I'm not planning on eating dinner tonight.

MaryK: I missed you..you are sooooooo busy..Stay safe and get some deer whistles for your car. I love the Lincoln Museum..I'm sure you have been there before, right?
You are a good dd to decorate your mom's place. Are you finding having her so far away a good thing or a bad thing?

Hi Carolyn!
I've never been to the museum!
And I'm not sure we'll have a lot of time for it today - but . . . .

It's hard having mom far away.
Mainly because this time of year finding a full day each week to see her is next to impossible!

*fuss & whine*

Have a great day all!

Have fun MK!! And besides being such a good DD you're also a good mom for your DD to deliver her purse to her. I can remember doing just such things so many times and actually still do sometimes. But now it's also for absent minded grandchildren and my own kids still, lol. Maybe it's hereditary? Must've got it from DH, not me, lol.

I feel very blessed to have dropped back down to 145 after my T-day+ feasting. And I even had a sandwich yesterday. But it was very fibrous bread. Now I need to really work at losing 5 before Christmas and more feasting.

My "coolant" light goes on and off all the time. I had it checked out but they said everything was fine and to just ignore it. I hope they're right!

I'm off for more shopping today and the chiro and the vet. Our DP (dear pup) has been acting funny and I think she needs a check up. New vet so I hope I like her. Her office is very nice and she's a big believer in not over vaccinating so maybe we'll get along well.

Have a good day all!

Morning peeps.
Just soooo busy lately, haven't been online much.
Didn't weigh, clothes fit.
Hair cut/color today and DGS after school.
Hopefully tomorrow I will have time to chat more.
Everyone did good on their weight.
MK, excited for your DD and her interviews.
Hugs to everyone.
I haven't decorated yet, it is going to be very simple since we have the 3 cats under 1 year, they would destroy anything and everything. DD is having Christmas at her house at 8 months 3 weeks pregnant, that is if she doesn't go into labor. She wanted to do it, but she has household help, so I said ok.

You can buy these at Walgreens!!

Totally PUI so bear with me . . . .

Went to the Cathedral today for the dedication Mass.
There were 5 bishops, a Cardinal, and dozens of priests.
A full choir and a full church.
It was absolutely gorgeous, beautiful and amazing!

I'm just in awe!

Hi gang..

I had a little accident with my foot yesterday..I missed the step at my exercising friend's house..She has a step down livingroom..I lay on the floor for about 10 minutes before I could get up..My foot started to swell, but lunch was being served, so I ate (of course)..Drove a short distance home, made an appointment with the foot dr, dh came home to take me.. X-rays..No breaks, lots of swelling..He wrapped it and gave me crutches, which I am now using..Ice and foot up..for 3 days..I'm better today, but still can't walk very well.DH moved the computer to upstairs for me.. I might have torn something by the side of my foot, but it is hard to tell.. I'm not dying so that is a good thing..

Love the kitty in the box and the church pictures..

Needless to say, I'm not weighing for a while, but I'll be good.

Morning.
Oh Carolyn, how painful and what a pain to have a bad foot and crutches, I hate to use crutches, they are so painful under the arm. What a freak accident.
Yes, the cat in the box and the church are both beautiful.
That Charlie Brown tree is absolutely perfect for my house this year, exactly what any regular tree would look like by Christmas with the 3 kittens, but of course I would be taking all their fun of destroying a regular tree away from them. I just might get that, LOL.
Got hair cut/colored yesterday, then came home in time for DGS to walk home from school, that kid will NOT wear his coat and it was 45 here. His parent's had made him wear it to school, but he won't wear it home. I told him if that happened again,he was grounded from the computer at my house that day. We will see.
DSIL and DGS stayed for dinner.
Today I hopefully will get caught up on my office work, way behind on that and bills, and mail, etc. DD#2 and DGS 18 months are coming by late afternoon. Then probably run over to DD#3's house, they tore down the paneling in their living room and put up drywall, painted and got some new furniture, can't wait to see it.

Hi..

Buffy: I'm sure they will love the paneling gone.. My motherinlaw's farmhouse has paneling all over the place..It was the style back in the olden days..

Im doing okay..being really good. I hate crutches, too..I'm using one for the most part and feel like Tiny Tim..

Owie! That brings back very painful memories. Thank goodness you didn't break it. Follow Drs. orders and hopefully it'll mend quickly. I hope the lunch was tasty at least, lol. And I would've eaten too. After all, that IS why you were there, right? Lol.

I had Bible study this a.m. Now we're in the book of James and it's much more academic than our last study. But I'm trying to "get it".

I really need to run a couple of errands but it's cold and I really don't feel like it so I don't know if they'll get done or not today.

Buffy, if you get that tree you'll have to share personal pics with us here. I love it!!

I see kids w/o coats all the time and my grandkids are some of the worse offenders. I just don't get it. When did wearing a coat become "uncool"?

Hi..

I see kids at school with no coats on..They hate to be bothered hanging them up, etc.
But, if the kiddos have recess, the teachers usually make them wear a coat..Brrr..

The lunch was great..The hostess just called me to see how I was and I told her my last meal was so great..Now it's Gary's turn to cook...not good.

Carolyn - Ouch!! Take care!!

Cindy - your cat in the box was wonderful!
Though I do like a Cat in a Hat . . . . Do you have one of those?

Buffy - My DS17 doesn't like to wear a big coat to school because it won't fit in his locker. They have those 1/2 size ones. Besides he says he just goes from the car into school and back again.

Sandy - more academic? Do tell!
