I love these sox..I have them on with slippers because they can be slippery I think by themselves. Slippery is not good for our Divas.

Oh my, is that pretty! Glad you posted the picture b/c I was thinking, why not just mix it all into the chocolate and spread it out or drop it. It is so pretty the way you do it. I got all the stuff for it today at Sprouts, they had it all in bulk bins.
Got by all my stops today except the grocery store and I don't have to go there right away as I got the stuff I need for the bark at Sprouts, and I needed that before Sunday.

Grrr, it is 4:30 AM and I have been awake for 2-3 hours, I hate it when I can't sleep and I have to get up at 7:00 b/c DGS spent the night and I have to get him up and fed so his mom can pick him up for school. So, I am working on the last of the Christmas gifts I need to buy.

Got back to sleep sometime around 5 I think, then the alarm went off at 7:00, got DGS fed and ready and his mom came and took him to school. Wonder when I will run out of gas today, LOL. 1st load of laundry is in.
I need to get re-organized and get all the gifts laid out and make sure I am done, I think I have 2 more gifts to buy and that will finish it. Then the bagging and wrapping.
Busy Fri., Sat. eve., Sun. and then with 4 days left, I think we are going to have to make a trip down to Austin. DD#2 cleared out a bedroom and ordered furniture for DGS 19 months, so that the nursery will be empty for new grandbaby who will arrive in Jan. And, she called her brother in Austin to see if he and his wife would like the bedroom furniture which was in that room. They have 2 empty bedrooms so they were thrilled but DH and I need to take it down to them. Nobody else has anything to haul stuff in. So, hoping to do that 1st of next week.
It never slows down, does it?

Oh, DD#3 leaves tomorrow night for Christmas in Canada and has to work today and tomorrow and was saying she needed 6 little gifts for the aunts, etc. in Canada, didn't know what to get or when she would do it. I told her that I would make a couple of batches of Toffee today if she would run and get some tins, I would fix them up for her.
Thanks MK, I try to be a good Grandma, really don't have to try, I just love them so much and love having them around and I know these years are going to fly by when I can be there for them.

I'm up in weight this a.m. too. 149!! And Christmas is a week away and candy day is Sunday and I have dinner and theater with my friends tonight and on and on and on. I'm going to really try to do a couple of protein days to try to curb this rise, lol.

Buffy, I had a bad night last night too. But I couldn't get to sleep in the first place and I hate that.

Have fun with all your kiddos, MK..Yes, I would love to see The Princess, too..It's fun to have someone to go with. We need to see Blindside..and I definitely want to see Sherlock Holmes when it comes out..However, they made him too sexy..methinks.

Well, I was askeered to weigh, but I was down to 154..I was very good yesterday..
Will continue the Santa Express until Christmas..one week.

Morning.
The week before Christmas is upon us.
I choose the not weighing route until after the holidays. I know I have been bad when my jeans are a little tight and my BG readings are too high. I have been bad and for gosh sakes, I have to stop that. Made the 2 batches of toffee for my daughter yesterday, we packed them into the tins last night and I had one teeny piece, about the size of my thumb, and stopped! It was a miracle!

The movie I want to see next is Up in the Air, DD saw it and said it was very good. Saw Old Dogs and laughed and lauged. DD#2 and I used to see lots of movies right around Christmas but it is a little harder now that she has DGS 19 months.
Going to see the triplets today and then on into Dallas to do a little shopping with DH. His shopping is VERY limited so this is it for him. The triplets started preschool this fall and are in some activites so we haven't seen as much of them, I can't wait to see them.

Whooo Hooo, done shopping. Went to see the triplets today, great fun, then DH and I went on and finished up the Christmas shopping, he let me help pick out my gift, we got groceries, had a meal on the way home and I am happy to be done. Now, the wrapping begins.
Tomorrow I organize and begin wrapping. Sunday is candy making. DSD gave me a couple of new ideas of things to make.

Hey guys, not to be casting dispersions on anyone's eating plan but I was just wondering what the difference was between Stillman's and Kimkins? I was reading on the Stillman's thread about what you can eat and it was lean meat. That was it. Maybe I didn't read the thread well enough but that's all i could find. Just wondering. I could go over and ask but I wondered if you had any insight.

Really not that much difference. I think I had his book at one time. However, I'm not sure if Stillman's says to eat only 500 calories and that was one of Kimmer's problems along with lying and cheating and deceiving people into the fact she "lost" 150 pounds..LOL..I think Stillman's has different levels..

Gary is home today..no working this Saturday for a change..So he is going to help me wrap. (LOLOL). Brett should be home later on today. He got a cold from not sleeping much as he was preparing for finals, so maybe he can catch up during break.

Morning peeps.
Ah, the college kids arriving home, I remember those days, sort of. My oldest went to school in NE so she would come visit during the holidays, between my house and her dad's house in Iowa. We enjoyed those visits, she and I would always work a puzzle and stay up late at night after everyone else was asleep, working on the puzzle and talking and talking and talking, and, eating chocolates, LOL. The other kids went to school here in Dallas area so were home often.
Today I am home until evening, then going to a friends party for his employee's, he always invites DH and I as well. Otherwise, just working around the house getting more organized with the gifts, a load of laundry and getting ready for our candy making marathon tomorrow, my friend is coming at 10:00 AM.
Have a fun, busy day everyone.

As we enter the last week before Christmas, some sage advice I received from my sis yesterday.

CALMNESS IN OUR LIVES

I am passing this on to you because it definitely works and we could all use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard on the Oprah show, you too can find inner peace.

Dr. Oz proclaimed, 'The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished.'

So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Tequila, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates. You have no idea how freaking good I feel right now.

Pass this on if you know anyone you think might be in need of inner peace.

CALMNESS IN OUR LIVES I am passing this on to you because it definitely works and we could all use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard on the Oprah show, you too can find inner peace. Dr. Oz proclaimed, 'The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished.' So, I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Tequila, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a box of chocolates. You have no idea how freaking good I feel right now. Pass this on if you know anyone you think might be in need of inner peace.
