Sandy, thank you so much for the recipe. I have a pan cooling on the counter to take to work!

I'm down to 121 which I think is a result of my thyroid meds. Yeah! I'm sure I'll put some on on vacation!

Hi gang..

I take my EA Active to my faux Curves and Toni (the owner) and I do the exercises together.. It is lots of fun..We pretend we are in Hawaii..

Cindy: Holy smokes, girl..You know..I'm not sure what they eat in Egypt, but I'm sure the bread is wonderful..

Gotta pay the last semester of ds's tuition. It's hard to believe he is graduating..4 years went by so fast. My NH and AZ brothers are coming for the graduation in May, so it will be a happy family time.

I find the older I get the faster the time flies by, don't you?

DH is only working 1/2 day today and then is taking the rest of the year off. He tries to do that every year but isn't always successful. Remember, he is a workaholic. I don't think he'll handle retirement well at all but he has a few years to try to prepare, lol.

Cindy, glad you liked the recipe. I threw the last of my batch away last night. Along with all the other leftover sweets. I'm back on the LC wagon and so far today, so good. I know it's only noon, but I only made it until 11 the other day, so I'm making progress, lol.
When do you leave for Egypt? Take lots of pics to share with us.

Good morning..AK! too much salt yesterday and I was up to 153..so I'm drinking water today.. Gosh, our weigh in is New Year's Eve Day ..New name for January??? Anyone??

Love: Okay..many people on LC diets have great cholesterol numbers and trig numbers because they have cut back on the carbs..(flour, sugar, etc.). Of course, losing weight helps with the blood pressure, too, sometimes. When you don't eat carbs, you have to eat something for energy and fat is the best choice..Of course, we eat protein, too, but fat is the better energizer.

Morning!

Sooooo tired today!
I have to get DS17 up to swim - it's 10°!! Brrrrrrrr!!

Anyone up for a real challenge in the NY?

Cindy - take lots of Egypt pics! I'm so excited for you!
We have a Cairo, IL, you could just come here and save some money!

Carolyn - No matter what I do (even protein days) my weight won't budge!

Also remember, one of the biggest causes of heart disease is an inflammatory diet. Sugar and simple carbs are highly inflammatory. Why we are told to cut sat fat for heart disease is because most people eat an inflammatory diet and sat fat plus sugar spells disaster. For those in ketosis, fat is fuel so your body handles it differently.

Sandy, sorry, no pics as they were eaten too quickly!! next time, I'm going to try white choc chips. They really were good.

thanks!
i believe im in control now. everything's good. health is superb. i dont crave food often.

EFGT is not focusing on ketosis but im losing weight quite fast. im eating 1600-2000 ( up to 100g carbs, i eat fat!..)i wonder why...

sometimes i dont pair fat with protein. i would pair fat with bread. if im eating bread i'll dip in olive oil. and it makes me full at only one piece. -will that interfere with my weight loss sooner or later?

Love: Everyone has a different Critical Carb Level..Some peeps do very well on 100 carbs, but some can only do 30 carbs. If you are losing weight, that is fabulous.. Keep it up.

Sandy: Okay..share the recipe..You have my curiosity up..

I vote against the "jiggle" part too - hits too close to home!

Fun day with DD23!! Shopping, lunch out, etc.
I found new snow boots!

Snow Bunny Challenge is great.. I remember this term when I grew up in NH, where there were ski areas everywhere..Snow Bunnies were peeps (mainly girls) who would
come to not to ski..or maybe a tiny bit, but sit around the lodge, drinking hot chocolate looking for guys.. Of course, we would be drinking SF hot chocolate

I'm with Sandy on the shot.. Sanitation is a whole lot different over there, I think.

Got some snow..Love Mary Kay's boots..Gosh, it could snow 2 feet and she would be covered..No snow down the boots.. which I hate. I think we only got about 3 inches
and it's 33 now, so I'm sure it will melt.

I was at 152 today..I'm going to show Brett how to make LC lasagne using turkey deli meat for noodles.

Kansas State is on a roll..I think they've won 10 or 11 games and lost one. This year they play really aggressively and Jacob is really hitting the "3s"..We are going to the game on Sunday....digging out my purple.

Cindy: We had about that much, too..Love your backyard with all those trees..

I'm cutting my 2 Westhroid in halves and then in quarters to see if I can get a better
metabolic rate.. i.e., lose weight..

Cute Snow Bunny..We can use that one..

Making LC lasagne..Brett (22) totally "gets" the carb thing. So, when he wants to lose weight, he cuts carbs and portions..I wish I had known that at 22..
