Turkey Trotters' Challenge for November

Hi..

I'm sure MKay can find a cute turkey trotter picture for us..

Back on track..no more bread carbs for me..They are of the devil for my weight loss..And, I don't think it was God that wanted me to eat the cinnamon roll, either.. "The debil made me do it"..

Yeah, TT!!

Sandy, thanks for posting the pic! I tried and couldn't figure how to get it from e-mail to Tinypic.

Carolyn, I know what you mean about bread. I did a bad thing and ordered the LC bread from Julian Bakery. I don't have a lot of restraint with that stuff.

November Start: 123 pounds

That turkey is cute!! Does he need some Imodium? Lol.

Cindy, I saved the pic to my computer, then uploaded it to tinypic. Worked perfectly. Good job on the 123!

We just had a wonderful family dinner. I hope that's the last time I overeat until T-giving. That's my goal!

Mary Kay: I love that turkey..We all should be running like he is doing..

No more overeating until Thanksgiving..I like it. We could call it the Pilgrim Plan. Of course, they had to grow their own food.

We have 2 seasons too - construction and winter.

Or this year rain and no rain.

My jeans are tight.

But I ate a late lunch and didn't have any pizza or cake at the soccer banquet.
Just sat there and talked.

It's going to be a long week!

Mind if I join you?

I saw my very first wild turkey about a month ago near Plymouth. Yes, the above mascot looked exactly like that (sans sweatband). LOL They can really move!

I need to move too. Nothing I've been doing in the past few weeks has helped.

Getting back to basics and eating the good fat. I have something special planned for this weekend and I want the bloated feeling to pass.

Have a great day, Trotters!

Morning peeps,
Welcome to those just joining us, we always are glad to have new friends.
I was 206 on Friday and 207 this morning, so I will say 206.5 is my start for Nov.
Cindy, fab picture of you and DBF, what perfect costumes for you two. You look so good, I would be wearing those outfits on a daily basis!!!
Carolyn, brain bleeds are what I and others in my family have had, we have a condition called Cavernous malformations and they sometimes bleed, thankfully, they usually "seep" but if they bleed enough can cause some serious complications. That happened to me last Nov. right before Thanksgiving, when I passed out twice, it was caused by a bleed. Of course hitting my head on the tub the 2nd time did as much or more harm...
I have the oddest thing going on now. Right as I was leaving Las Vegas last week, I had the worse pain in my back on the left side, high, right beside my shoulder blade. Very sore like I had pulled a muscle, which I thought I must have done. So, heating pad for 2-3 days and it is much, much better. Well, yesterday afternoon, all of a sudden I have that same soreness in the right side of my back. This side even worse. So, going back to lay down in a minute with the heating pad again. Strange.
Hi everyone, I agree with no overeating between now and Thanksgiving.

Sorry Cindy, I'm not comitting to all that, lol.

Buffy, listen to MK, go to the Dr!!!

Welcome Lora! I saw a whole flock of wild turkeys here in our local park. First ones I ever saw I think but they were mostly all black with red wattles. I ate some wild turkey this summer which was very tasty too.

Hi gang..

Yes, Buffy, go to the doctor.. Thanks for the brain bleed information...He is now in medium intensive care so his kids saw him yesterday..He recognized them, which is good.
On Tuesday they are doing another SCAN to see if the bleeding has stopped and absorbed.

Welcome, Lora..Nice to see you.. I saw 11 wild turkeys in the road around the corner from my house..They aren't very smart, but taste very good.

Sandy: Any dgd news??? I can't do organic, but I can do mostly real food..

Love: Wowowo..we are proud of you.

MK: Are you knitting anything special? I'm starting another sweater...

We get the results on DGD's tests tomorrow at 3. I'll let you all know. She is finally feeling better after they gave her 4 new meds. I don't know why they waited so long to give these to her but am very thankful she has them and pray they continue to work for her.

For me, at 59, it's an uphill battle for controlling my weight..The alternative is huge weight gain if we just "let it go"..

You are so right Carolyn. If I ate anything I wanted, as much as I wanted for 6 months I know I'd gain 50 pounds at least. I have to be on guard all the time.
