Is this circuit class new MK?

I think I officially have a sinus infection. I'm going to try to totally take it easy today. I have my yearly tomorrow morning. Oh joy.

My weight is staying even at around 145 so at least that's some good news. Now if I can stay away from all the junk DH bought this weekend I'll be good.

Morning peeps.
Sandy, sounds like allergies and sinus infection to me. Can you get an antibiotic tomorrow when you go for your yearly, or wrong end? LOL. I don't think you can get over a sinus infection without one. My allergies are bothering too, I am taking zyrtec and musinex right now and it does make you feel extra tired.
Famous Dave's sounds like good eating gals.
I got lots done yesterday after my lazy day Sunday, now must get lots done in the office today. And, DGS 9 is walking here after school so will be busy helping with homework and visiting with him until one of the parent's pick him up. Friday night my lil tornado 18 month old DGS is coming to spend the night, whew, I will be tired come Sat., he never stops but it will be fun. He doesnt' live as close so it isn't as handy to have him stop by.
Eating was great yesterday, had a good soup for dinner, then something went haywire and I wanted to eat junk all evening, and I did, yikes! Didn't visit Mr. Scale this morning, pretended he wasn't staring at me in the bathroom.

Sandy: Maybe your doctor can give you some anti-biotics for your sinus infection..They hurt, I know..not fun..Take care..Or are you using Sudafed??

Buffy: You are such a good grandma.. Watch out for the little tornado..(no sugar for him..LOL)

Cindy: How are you doing????

Well, I was down to 152..not back to my beginning weight, but I've been pretty good..Took a friend out for breakie for her bday..No toast or hashbrowns..It was a totally Barry breakie.

Weighing-in is the worst part of an annual!

Buffy - Grandkids sound like so much fun!

Carolyn - sometimes holding steady is all we can do!

I am taking Mucinex and the Dr. sent a Z-pak so hopefully by tomorrow I'll start feeling some better. I'm not running a fever so I'm pretty sure I'm not contagious.

I think my weight will probably be very close to last year. Plus I have my monthly weigh in at WW to do tomorrow too. From there I'm headed to a Daughters of Isabella meeting which happens to be a dessert meeting. Good thing I'm weighing everywhere first, lol.

Sandy: I'm sure that dessert meeting will be very nommie. Why does food and church go together??? We are having our church Thanksgiving dinner Sunday at 5:00.. But, I am not going to overeat..I'll be a good Pilgrim.

I don't know Carolyn, but my DH and I are always saying we have to be careful and not catch the "church chubbies". Actually all social events seem to revolve around food but at least at church hopefully you get more than your tummy fed, lol.

Morning dear friends.
Carolyn, you are so good at exercising, I am a good Grandma so that must be my exercising, LOL. DGS 9 is coming here after school again today, I have dinner club tonight and may have to take him along, hope the others don't mind, I don't do it very often but sometimes both parent's have something going on and he is still too young to stay home alone. Last night he did his math and then did a geography quiz online, he is studying for the geography bee in Dec.
MK, my toesies aren't pretty right now at all, I have bright red polish on them and they need a new peddie badly. Might try to squeeze that in this week.
Sandy, the Zpack should do the trick, they always work well for me on sinus infections.
I have to run to Sam's today and get a birthday cake for tonight for the Nov. birthdays, one of our gals is turning 50 on Sunday so we will give her the royal treatment. And, I got her a very nifty, sexy hand painted wine glass but thankfully, I took it out of box to show DH and it was the wrong one, so must run that back to the store to exchange. Then some other errands to get done so I can be back for Grant after school.
Made crockpot apples yesterday, they are so good and make the kitchen smell sooo good.

Hi gang,

Sandy, is this your thyroid doctor, too???? Hope you feel better..

Buffy: Errands can keep the weight down, too..and you do alot of them. I love crockpot apples. I need to get some more apples since they are best this time of year.

MKay: Good luck..Ouch my aching back.. I think your mom will be happy downstairs and it's closer to the nurses, right?

Our children's minister is still in the hospital for his brain bleed..His short term memory is pretty fuzzy still. Does this improve??? They thought they would have to go to rehab in KCity, but the doctor is going to send him home and have a home therapist helping him..

Still at 152.. grumble..

Yep, it's my everything Dr. I really need to get a regular Dr. for everyday stuff though. Although this doc has always told me he'd handle everything for me.

Cooked apples sure sound yummy. I love the way they make the house smell. Back when I was in my domestic goddess mode and used to have apple trees, I made apple butter every year. Plus froze bags and bags of apples to use during the winter. That was back when I also canned over 100 qts. of tomatos every year and made sauerkraut and pickles and froze asparagus and cauliflower and on and on and on. Then the kids grew up, I went to work, and gave up the gardening and the title, lol. But I really did enjoy it while I was doing it.

I sure hope your pastor gets really good rehab therapy for his brain bleed. I would think it would need to be the same kind of therapy that stroke victims get and IMHO it needs to be really intensive. I still think my MIL would've done much better except her daughter and husband felt sorry for her frustration and wouldn't push her. Consequently, she never did regain her speech or ability to walk. She actually went backwards once she left the hospital and went home. And she did have a therapist who came to the house but the family didn't make her work on it during the day between therapist visits. I'm sure you don't have a lot of input into his care, but if you're asked I'd sure put in my .02 on that.

Carolyn, the short term memory does sometimes improve. When I had my first bleed, my short term memory was terrible. It got better with time. I left the mall one day and although we all go through those times when we forget where we parked, this time it was a very scary feeling, I had absolutely no idea where I had parked and it didn't come back to me for a long time, I had to retrace my steps. Another day I saw my brother in law and told him how sorry I was that he could not make it to my daughter's wedding, which happened right before that bleed. He looked at me strangely and then getnly reminded me that not only had he been there, he had helped decorate the reception area, and helped with all kinds of things. I felt really bad about that.

Gotta run, dinner club tonight.

Morning peeps.
Dinner club last night, had a great time. 7 out of the 9 of us made it. Our one member who lost her husband this spring had a grief class to go to and one of the others went with her for support.
Going shopping with a friend this evening, I have some stuff to return, and hopefully won't buy anything new.
Regarding the brain bleeds, it depends on how severe or extensive they are as to how much damage they cause and it you recover completely from them. DD#2 had one when she was 20 and it was a bigger bleed than the ones I have had. She did recover almost 100% but her memory is pretty bad even 20 years later. My brother had one and it did cause some permanent damage to his right side. He has to walk with a cane and has several stroke type damages from it. Speech, thought process, etc.
In our family we have a condition called Cavernous Malformations, they are tangled blood vessels that may or may not bleed. The information I have on it says that when it runs in families, probably about 50% of the family members have them although many will never present symptoms. My sister has some and my grandson has some but theirs have never bled yet. You never know if you have them if they don't bleed unless for some reason you have a cat scan or an MRI and they show up. My grandson had bone cancer of the skull when he was 11 and that is when they found that he has 5 of these, but so far, they haven't bled and they just keep an eye on them as they do his routine scans for the cancer follow ups.
So, yes, about 50% of my family is a little "off" in the head but it could be much, much worse. These occur on the low pressure side of the blood vessels so if and when they bleed it isn't as serious unless it is a large one.
Ok, my head story of the day, over....

Morning!

Buffy - great info!!

Sandy - yep - what Carolyn said!! Or hold your breath until your face turns blue!
Glad you feel better!

Carolyn - how was dinner? We had taco soup last night. I did add corn to it, but besides that it was totally OP!

Cindy - what's new? How are the DHORs and the DCs?

I just have some miscellaneous errands today - I really wanted to stay home all day, but hopefully these won't take long!

MK, the DHORs are great as are DC's. Temp today is in the 60's so i think I'll get out to see DHOR9.

My friend started radiation/chemo this week. She got a wig from Cancer Action but isn't sure she will need it as some don't lose their hair but at least she's prepared.

Actually went to the gym for the first time in months as now I feel good enough to go. Yeah for dessicated thyroid!!

Morning Carolyn, Cindy, MK and Sandy and whoever else stops by to say hello!
Went to dinner last night with friend and we did some returns. When you shop then there always seem to be returns.
Today DGS 18 months is coming to visit and spend the night so I will be busy, busy, busy.
Loving the coolish fall weather, although it gets up into the 70's during the day which is nice. Hate the regular time though, it gets dark so early.
Glad the sinus infection is better Sandy.

There were lots of sick people at Dad's Dr's. office. I tried to ignore them, I hope that helped, lol.

We made our decision. We're getting new siding. And of course, now they're calling for bad weather to move in, lol. Ugh!!

I wish we had siding.
Are we the only people in the world that still have to paint their house?

Hi everyone..

Did my exercising, went to Wallie, the library, etc..You all know the drill..

People around here who have the flu go to the doctor and he sends them home with no meds..Of course, if you have a rattling chest, you need help..Just wash your hands really well, which reminds me I should do that after being in Germville all morning..

Cindy: Wow..your poor friend..Prayers for a good result with her treatment..And, I would get a wig just in case, too..Glad your meds are working for ya..

Buffy: Wowo..you will be one tired grandma this weekend..How fun, though. I think we forget how active little ones can be..

MKay: No, we have to paint, too..The 3 of us did it a few years ago..We needed scaffolding in the front..Gary rented it for a month..LOL..

Having stuffed peppers tonight..G's favorite..My friend told me to get some red peppers to stuff..I never thought of that..Anyone ever try red stuffed peppers?? I'm betting they are great.

Still at 152.0 this morning.....................................

Did anyone see Oprah when they had that lady who was attacked by the 200 pound chimp on? That poor lady..She is blind and has no hands or face.. But she has a great attitude..

I often feel guilty for whining about little things. My great grandmother (who raised me) always said to be thankful for everything you have because there are those that have it worse. Her words always stuck with me.
