Carolyn, thanks for starting us up for the month and I agree, great name.
When do you leave on your trip?

My month ended up not as bad as I feared but still a 1.5 pound gain.
146 this a.m. 144.5 last month.

We went to my nephew's wedding last night. The usher carried in one single long stemmed pink rose in honor of my mom when he seated my dad. Of course that started the tears for me, my daughter and sister. And I don't know who all else. It was a beautiful ceremony. My brother, my nephew's dad, married them so that was extra special. They both looked so very young,

, but then they are so I guess that was normal.

Morning everyone!
Guess I should have said afternoon. I slept late.
My weight is still at 210. Hoping for an Aug. loss.
Hoping Aug. isn't as hectic and crazy as the last few months have been.
MK, that foot thing is awful, I had it in both feet and it lasted over a year. Finally the only thing I think that helped was stretching it a lot. DH built me a little ramp like box that I sat up against the wall, it forced the front of my foot up, the heel down, really giving the back of my calfs a stretch, and yes, the water bottle thing. It can become terribly painful.
Sandy, the wedding sounds beautiful and yes, young people look so very young today.
Carolyn, great name for Aug.
Back to DD's today to put DGS's bedroom together. He has been with his Dad the month of July and comes home tomorrow so we want his room all ready for him.

Today has been fun so far - took DS16 to a TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) retreat. He'll stay until Monday.
Met DD25 for lunch in her town (ate at The Holy Land Diner! - Greek/Lebanese food), and now to read a book - if I can get the men around here to clean the bathroom and vacuum before
DS20's GF arrives!

As far as weight - I started at 122.8 and I finished at 122.6.

Slept in, not going to do too much today other than go over to DD's house to help just a little more.
Had tummy issues last night and weight was down 3 lbs this morning, but like I said, I had tummy issues. I know some of that will return, darn!

I went to the pool for a couple of hours today to chat with some friends I haven't seen much of this summer. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon. I was busy cleaning and working out all morning and needed the break. I think we're all going to get together and go see Julia and Julie Friday. I can't wait.

Morning all! Back from vacation. Wouldn't you know they had record low's and I actually had to buy a jacket!

We hiked a total of 20 miles and white water rafted one day.

I refuse to weigh! You shouldn't have to weigh when the end of a month coincides with the end of a vacation.

Woke up this morning to heavy winds and a thunderstorm. Ah, the mid west!

Gord, good to see you back.

The meat locker called and my beef is ready. It's an hour north of here so I'll do that Thursday.

Sandy, I want to see that move too. Definitely a chick flick!

Cindy, glad to see you back. Your vacation sounds like ours 2 years ago. With all the physical activity I don't think I gained a pound on that vacation so I bet you're safe.
As soon as this rain moves out I think it's going to get very steamy here. Yuck!!

MK, what a cute couple. And it's so great that you like her. Nothing worse than a boyfriend or girlfriend that the family can't stand. Been there, done that. Luckily it never became permanent and I love my in-law kids.

Welcome home Cindy, yes, sounds like you got lots of exercise, bet you are fine.

I have DGS 9 today and tomorrow, will check to see if there are any movies out that he wants to see, I am in the mood for a good one but I doubt he will want to see Julia, LOL.

Weight was down to 205.8 this morning, whee! I hope it holds and then will work on down. The Byetta pen I used in July worked to keep my BS lower but didn't seem to have the same effect on my appetite as the first one did, I just thought it had worn off but this new pen I started for Aug. is just like the one in June. Really reduces my appetite and also is causing nausea and some tummy distress, which is uncomfortable but will help me shed a few more lbs.

Sad news in our household. The below is a link to the Bradenton Florida newspaper. My BF's SIL was murdered in a home break in. His brother, a long time family practice doc in the area, came home around 7:50 at night and found her "violently" murdered. They have a son in Iraq and a son in med school. Police are still investigating. I have met her once at a family reunion. She e-mailed us some funnies at 10:30 yesterday. I hope they find who did it. I don't think you can ever get over the anger of someone having their life taken away.

I'm so sorry to hear about that Cindy. My prayers are with the family at this horrible time. We're going to Siesta Key in a few weeks and we land at Bradenton/Sarasota Airport. It's such a beautiful area it's hard to believe something so awful can happen but sadly bad things happen everywhere now.

Oh Cindy, that is terrible. I certainly hope they catch the person who did this, so senseless to take someone's life while trying to steal things.

My weight was 206.6 this morning, so recovering from my tummy distress and the extra little weight loss from that but still holding below the 210 I was stuck at for such a long while.

Hair cut this morning, badly needed. DGS coming over to spend the day again so it will be a fun, busy day. We went to see Gforce in 3D yesterday which was fun. He will be going back to school in 2 weeks, wow, what a quick summer.

HI all,

I used to be a Barry girl a few years back and actually reconize a few names.

I was doing awesome on EFGT when we discovered the hubby had high chol...the diet plan they gave him was the oppisite of mine and I decided to try and do his plan with him.

Neither of us stuck to it and here I am 2 years later with an extra 50 after floundering through, WW, IE, and most recently just not giving a crud (that one really does not work by the way

)

So here I am hoping to get some accountabilty and be a part of this awesome group.
