Carolyn, can you just do the test first thing in the morning before your first dose or should you take a dose, then wait 5 hours?

Hi gang..
Off to Bartlesville this morning to meet a "client"..LOL..Hopefully, we can stop at Hobby Lobby on the way back. I am at 155..grumble, grumble..and weigh in is tomorrow...eeek..I might have to take a gain because of my Branson experience with some evil carbs, but so be it.. Name for September??? The Pounds are Falling Off..(what a statement, huh)? Don't we wish they will just tumble off our bodies. Catch you all later..I'm drinking my coffee and ready to go ..DH is flying home from Seattle today..It takes alllllllllllll day long. He will be home by 9 Hugs all around.

Carolyn/Cindy...on the lab tests for thyroid...if you take 1/2 your thyroid in the morning and half in the afternoon (this is my new routine) would I have my lab test 5 hours after my morning dose OR on the day that I was having my lab test would I take the ENTIRE days' dose in the morning and then have my lab test 5 hours later? I hope this makes sense....my labs were WAY off the last time they were done and I want to have them re-checked...but I did NOT have them drawn with this 5-hour protocol, either. It was after my last labs that we started splitting my dosage, too...any advice?
Sorry to just barge in on this thread, but since I'm trying EFGT percentages now, I figured I'd just post here! |

Morning!
I like Stunning in September, wishful thinking or not ![]() Had great fun with the triplets at dinner and afterwards last night. 3 3 year olds is a mighty busy fun time ![]() DD#3, the one who recently moved has been under so much stress, overworked, moving, getting remarried, travel for the past year and hasn't felt the best, but to be expected. Recently had blood work, thyroid way up, Vit D way down, B12 way down, so Dr. upped thyroid, put her on B12 shots and more Vit D, I can't wait to see how much better she feels in a couple of weeks. Not sure what today is activity wise, waiting for DD's to let me know.

Hello everybody, I'm back! We loved every minute of our trip but it's always good to get back home too. We mostly just walked the beach and relaxed and ate. Sounds like a perfect vacation to, lol. It only rained 2 times and it was at night both times. I felt like I'd gained 10# but the scale only read 148.5 this a.m. and I'm hoping a lot of that is water retention.
I'll try to read back through the posts and catch up but sometimes that's hard to do. So I might just wing it. Today is my DGS24's birthday. I really just can't believe it! His mom is fixing his birthday dinner tomorrow and it sounds very decadent. Of course, lol. Have a great day. I think we owe our pup a very long walk and I don't know what else we might do. Except laundry of course. The dreaded vacation laundry.

Hi...
Welcome back, Sandy...You only gained a tiny bit and walking on the beach was probably extremely helpful..Sounds like you had fun..poor Bailey..He missed his parents for sure. Stunning in September is a great name..So, I'll start it Sunday night.. MKay: Glad your dd made it back to NY safely. That is a very long drive..very long. Yes, you are "fun sized" for sure. Gettin: Welcome, welcome..Pam says that you want to take your regular dosage (1/2) 5 hours before your labs are drawn. T3 lasts for about 5 hours. You want an accurate account without any of the T3 meds in your lab report, just what your body is doing.. Buffy: No wonder DD is exhausted. Hope those meds help her and tell her she has to sleep, too.. Kapri: I thought that article was very eye opening. Have been really good today..Maybe I'll be down a bit tomorrow for the weigh-in............ ![]() |

Rode DHOR9 all day today. We are both tired. DC15 is now on Amoxacillin for a UTI, 1/2 of a fish oil capsule, arthritis medicine, amatriptilline for anxiety (?!) and probiotics for the diarrhea from the amoxacillin. We officially have nursing home! Ate Mexican with my riding friends. Had shrimp fajitas sans tortillas. Very good. I could eat Mexican every day! Sandy, that sounds like the perfect vacation! Protein was WAY too high yesterday! This is a mindset shift for me--I've been doing much higher protein and I need to really change things around to get the higher fat and lower protein. To be honest, I'm going to start in earnest tomorrow--too much going on today to change things up too much. So, it will be higher protein today...but my main goal right now is to get my eating under control, so that is the main goal for today--just no bingeing. Tomorrow I'll work on getting the percentages right! Have a good day, everyone.

Morning peeps!
Welcome home Sandy, walks on the beach and relaxing sound awesome. Did you stay on or near the beach where you could hear the ocean at night? I love sleeping with the ocean sounds in the background. Love love love it. How can it be the end of another month? I just don't understand where the time goes, I never get enough done and times just flies on by me like I am standing there wondering who am i, where am i, what am i????? Yes, mexican food is the best, I think a favorite of almost everyone. Not low carb as a whole but if you pick and choose it can be ok, except for Carolyn's dreaded debil chips. |

I'm not weighing in until the 1st and even then I'm skeered.
Have a safe trip MK. I'm back on board tomorrow morning. I might try a few days of only fat/protein to get rid of the bloat. I feel like a balloon! We did stay on the beach but it was hot so we slept with the air on and windows closed. I love the ocean and the beach but for some strange reason the noise of the waves when I'm trying to sleep is not soothing to me. ?? Weird huh? |

Hi everyone..
Well, I was happy (sort of) to be at 154 this morning........Only gained a pound this month..LOL..Well, back on track tomorrow.. Sandy, I agree..I don't like even "nice" noise, like the ocean when I'm trying to sleep.. Happy travelling, MKay.. Tomorrow is blood day for my thyroid. I'm getting up early to take my pill so I won't mess up the test. Brett had a good week at school, he said. The new roomie is working out fine, although he is not a cook..So, it's Brett and Sam, who are the "cooks" in the group. I use that term very loosely. Ok..Starting our new thread. Gett: Protein is really hard to control...I think it's better to space it all out. |

Am I out of sync? Isn't tomorrow the 31st? Don't we still have another day where I just might be able to drop an extra 10 pounds, lol? I'm still holding out til the 1st to do my "official" weigh in, ok?
My granddaughter and her 2 roomies have been cooking up a storm. I'm hoping to talk them into starting a blog about it. They're making some yummy recipes and have sent us pics and it looks like restaurant food! Two of them have been servers for years so I guess they at least learned how to plate up the food to make it look good. They're planning their menues from a bunch of old cookbooks I was getting rid of. It looks like they found a good home with the girls. One of the gals doesn't cook at all. She's on clean up duty. |

Well...things aren't going well for me...the past 2 days have not been good at all! BUT, tomorrow is a new month, so I'm "in" starting September 1! The scale will scare me, though, so I'm not going to weigh...I will be able to tell, though, if I'm losing...if things go well with my eating, I'll weigh mid-month. I just can't face it right now...things have been so bad in the food department that I don't even want to step anywhere need a scale!

Just a drive by hello! Nothing to report today, weight still hanging about 210, mainly b/c I am not watching portions.
Blood sugar doing great though. Off to see DD's and DGS's. |
