Morning!
Today is DS17's first full day at school and his birthday. After school is soccer practice! I have a haircut, lunch out with a friend, the dog has his nails trimmed and I have to finish getting DD22's room ready. Oh - and get a walk in! |

Morning friends!
Busy little bees you all have been, cleaning, exercising, shopping, ironing in the dryer, my almost only kind of ironing, getting ready for DD's to come home, DS's to have birthdays, DD's to start taking classes again, schools starting up, massages, yum, I need to schedule one, haircuts, lunches, taco chips, on and on the list goes! So fun! After my last message there was a power outage at DD's house which messed up their wireless connection so I could not get online after that, I didn't realize what had happened and could get email on my Iphone so I just didn't bother with it. DD#2 and DSIL got home at 6:00 AM yesterday morning, they had taken a midnight flight from LA home to Dallas, we visited for about an hour and a half, then I had to come home and run by DD#3's house to pick up DGS 9 since I am keeping him for 3 days. This is the last week before his school starts. I am getting my Mema duties all caught up this past couple of weeks, whew! Love my little boys though. The 9 YO is so easy to keep though, not quite as tiring as the baby, but, he certainly won't let me rock him to sleep like the baby does, and I love that, LOL . My weight is back up to 210 this morning, I honestly have just been pigging out, which makes me so mad at myself since I have the tool of the byetta which cuts my appetite, so I just need to work with it instead of overriding it. I am more than ready to get back to my normal routine in my own home and get back to some control over my eating.

Hi ladies..
I was almost back at 153 this morning..And last night I had a Delightful hamburger bun which had many less carbs than a normal one..Can't remember. Buffy, you are a busy Mema!!!! Honestly, you will get to 200 or below by January..I'm sure. MaryKay: Getting that room ready for dd, how fun. Your ds is growing up..17 sounds much older than 16, doesn't it? I am starting to clean up Brett's room. I think he needs a new comforter..Off to Wallie after my knitting class. Worked like a little trooper on my sock last night. I'm going to have the teacher help me on the heel if I can get down there. Have a wonderful day..It's raining here..Workers came, but left.

Made horse cookies for DHOR 9 as DHOR27 can't eat them. She can't keep them in her mouth because they are too heavy (Still suffering with facial nerve problems). Son (DHOR9) packs 2-3 in his mouth till his cheeks bulge.
Had hair colored and trimmed today. Tomorrow I have a thyroid panel drawn to see how the Synthroid is doing. I think I may have to go on something with T3 as my hair loss has slowed but I don't think I'm optimized. Carolyn, I see you use Westhroid. That is T4/T3? So if i switched to that, I would stop Synthroid, correct? |

Is there any difference at all between Armour and Westhroid? Armour is so hard to get lately and I will ask to change if they're the very same thing.
Good luck on your labs Cindy. |

Westhroid and Armour are derived from pigs with both T3/T4. They come from different labs, so hopefully Westhroid won't have the problems that Armour had..(what a shame).
Yes, you would stop the Synthroid..because the W would take care of it. I split my W, half in the a.m. before breakie and half in the middle of the afternoon. Horse cookies, Cindy..How cute. Those teenage horses.. You need to dip your mamma's cookies in milk..They she could enjoy them. |

Morning!
What a night last night! Big storms came through, we lost power for 6 hours - so DS17's bday dinner was at a Mexican restaurant instead of at home (that part wasn't so bad! ), then DD22 calls from Indy - she hit a big rock in the road and has a flat! She finally got it fixed and made it home around 10:00pm. She would have been home around 6:00pm so she was tired, cranky, etc! This morning I discovered that DS20 has broken up with his GF! I liked this one too! ![]() |

)There was a thread on the main asking how much you spend a month on food. I'm too scared to add it up. I will try to do that for the month of September. I have to save all my Costco receipts as not everything i get there is food. I just got 2 DVDs from Netflix. One is Fathead and the other is Sicko. I don't like Michael Moore but his "Bowling For Columbine" was very good. Sicko has to do with our health care system which seems pertinent now. Fathead is about a guy who lost weight eating McDonalds every day! |

Hi gals..and Gord.
Big storms last night, but my deck guys are working hard today..Yippe..They are framing it up and it looks really solid, unlike the other deck. Solid is good when you are 10 feet in the air.. ![]() Cindy: Did I miss why you were typing with one hand???? Let me know how Sicko is.. And, eating McDonald's every day would be a real challenge..He probably didn't want to eat very much toward the end. Although, I do like their Big and Tasty burgers..and their side salads..and their iced coffees.. ![]() MKay: Oh.....your poor dd driving home in the dark of night from NY..Did she have to change the flat herself??? Mexican restaurants are the best place to celebrate birthdays..or anything else you might want to celebrate. Gosh, I hope that Hurricane Bill won't affect Sandy's vacation plans..Hopefully, it will miss her.. I need to clean my house..and get Brett's room tidied up a bit..Oh well. There is always tomorrow.. No cavities or loose fillings..Went to the dentist today. |

I think we're going to be safe from Bill. Thank goodness we didn't go some place up the east coast. Which we were considering. We were full aware that we were going in the middle of hurricane season but we thought we'd roll the dice and live dangerously, lol. As long as a new one doesn't crop up in the next few days. I can't wait to be there. Doing nothing!!!
My dad comes home tonight so I'll try to see him a little while tomorrow. I have a lot of stuff to get done before we leave but I'm sure I'll have some free time. He caught 115 fish while he was there!! I cut my finger last night and it started bleeding again this a.m. so I super glued it! I can tell it's going to be really sore. And the salt water prolly won't help either. Carolyn, you'll have your deck in time to enjoy the fall. My fav time of year!

Mary Kay: Glad the interstate axe murderer didn't help her. Flats are such a pain in the neck..Luckily, I have never had to change one. One time my dh was with me and the other time, I was next to a gas station..
I want to see J and J..Peeps have said that it makes them hungry. I have her cookbook, but haven't made 90 percent of the things in it. |

I think Cindy's kitty was on her lap. That's my guess.
MK, I loved Julie and Julia and I was never a Julia Child fan before. The glue came off my finger. I might have to reglue it. I'm beginning to think I might've needed stitches!! Yikes. |

Oh noes..stitches, Sandy. How about a butterfly bandage or they have special ones for fingers that hold the cut together. Methinks you need a bandaid..

MK, I was so inspired when I saw that movie. I have reserved several of her cookbooks and DVDs from the library but the wait list was already pretty long so I haven't gotten any of them yet. I hope they're as easy as she made them look in the movie.
I think my finger is a little better today. I've been keeping a bandaid on it and neosporin. And using a finger cot when I have a lot of wet stuff to do. Maybe no housework for a week will heal it?? Well, my weight is up!!! Four pounds since last week!! Not a good starting point for vacation but I'll try to make a few good choices while I'm gone. |

Morning! (again)
Morning! Shopping was good yesterday if you were my daughter - or even my dog! For me - not so much! I picked up a DVD set I've been wanting, besides that . . . . ![]() Lunch at TGIFridays, bought a new car, then home for DS17's bday party! Eating was horrible, but party week is almost over! *phew* DD22 and I did take a long walk, but I'm sure it wasn't enough to counteract yesterday! ![]() Am I just talking to myself . . . . . ![]() |

Good day all!!
Rode DHOR9 yesterday, then went out to Mexican and saw the movie District 9. I love scifi as does my friends 14 y/o daughter so we all had a good time. Carolyn, how much Westhroid are you on? You split your dose, do you take both on an empty stomach like you have to do with Synthroid? I am going to ask my doc for this. |

I'm here....I'm here...DH is leaving for a week to Vancouver, etc. So, I can knuckle down and recover from my weekend in Brason and gaining 3 pounds...I average one pound a day when I'm off plan..
Cindy: Gee..I think it is 160 split Westhroid..2 grains. I'll be anxious to get my blood tested in a week or so and see if I'm optimized or not. I have no side effects, but maybe a bump would help me with the weight problem. MKay: Glad you are having some fun with your dd.. KState starts school today..So, I'll see how Brett's first day of school went..LOL His first day of his last year. Deck work is progressing.. ![]() |
