Yea Cindy, the only times I have sucsessfully lost, or maintained a loss is when I was using ****** everyday.
I have always wanted to be someone who could just eat like a 'normal' person and not have to keep track of every bite but I think I need to accept the fact that that is not me and just live with it. Alright, whats everyone eating for dinner?? I need to hit the store and I am fresh out of ideas ![]() |

****** is a godsend because you think twice before you put something in your mouth..cuz you have to put it in. I've been lazy about doing it, but I need to get started.
Those calories do add up..especially when you can enjoy fat. Dinner is pork and green beans. I need to go to the store and get some fresh veggies, but it looked like a big storm when I was coming home.. And, the older you get, the "less normal" you become weightwise. Some of my very skinny friends who could eat anything when they were 20-30 have plumped up.

Carolyn, so good to have you home. You'll drop that vacation weight quickly I'm sure.
I'm very tired today too. We got up at 5:30 yesterday a.m. to do the breast cancer walk and then we hung out at the pool and got a lot of sun which really drained me. I've been totally lazy all day. I did get laundry done and vacuumed but that's about it. I sure hope I recuperate tonight. I also got a bee sting yesterday which interrupted my sleep last night when I really needed it. |

![]() ![]() Good one, MK!! That is annoying. Made on of the funeral desserts for work today. It's called Not Yo Mamma's Banana Pudding. I saw Paula Dean do it, then recognized it at the funeral dinner. It was very good so I made it for work. Cats are good, horses are good. Tom comes home and reads the latest development in the murder. Poor guy, I need to ask if he is sleeping better. Vail was great. Had to buy a jacket as it was in the 40's at night and I wasn't ready for that. We hiked a total of 20 miles and went white water rafting 1 day. Tomato plant is slowing down because some of our days have been close to 100. The tomatoes have been great. |

Morning!
Nothing exciting to report around here, which is a good thing, LOL. Yes Carolyn, Iowa does have a great state fair. Did you know that they put out a poll this year after Michael Jackson died as to whether they should do the butter sculpture of him? It didn't win though. DD#2 is taking DGS to her dad's house in Iowa this month so that she can take him to the Iowa state fair. She loves it. Yes, the nutrition programs are a huge help when a person is serious about keeping their eating on the right track. Annoying is a good word for it, LOL.

Hi gals and Gord.
Cindy: Keep us posted on the latest developments on the case, please..We want to see justice. Yes, I can imagine Vail was a bit chilly at night. Even North Conway dipped into the 50's in the evening. It felt good to me. Sandy: My weight is coming off..Down one pound to 156..3 more to go. Brett gained a bit and then lost 3 pounds in 2 days.. Buffy: Gosh..I don't think Iowa was ready for a buttered up Michael Jackson, do you? I think peeps are sick of hearing about his death, etc. The guys were supposed to come today and take down the deck..Not here..I think they show up when they want...This is very typical, but you wish they would call at least...duh. |

Yum pot roast sounds good! And mashed faux tatoes too. I'm still researching the internet for new cell phones. There are so many different opinions out there.

Mary Kay: Definitely praying for a good Mom day for you..
Sandy: Brett went our local Mexican store and bought the hottest dried peppers they had. What was that kid thinking? He has been watching Man versus Food too much. Well, I went to Wallie's and bought him some disposable gloves to handle them with.. Okay..kids..2 pounds down, 2 to go to be at my pre-vacation weight. Honestly, for me it's about portion control 1st and carb control 2nd. I made some LC Indian Pudding last night. Indian Pudding is of the devil..I am posting the recipe on the Bulletin Board. |

I have a drs. appt. first thing this a.m. then some errands. Like my weigh in at WW for the month. And I really need to get my roots colored. I've been doing them myself for a few years now but I hate the mess sometimes. I keep putting it off and the roots keep on coming, lol.

Hi..
The sandals are made of recycled material..However, I should have scrubbed them a bit before the washing machine. Hey....I'm down to 154 this morning..One more pound to go before I hit the wall of solid fat..LOLO..And, I have a luncheon and a going away salad dinner tonight. I made a LC key lime pie to take. Our friend is going to be living in Zambia (Africa) for 5 years. Her husband will be running a cement plant there. She is very brave, methinks. I want 55..send your "cool" our way. Walked for 45 minutes at my faux Curves. The guys are tearing down the deck and the material came in..So, there is lots of action at our house. Our kitty Alex is hiding somewhere.. |

I am actually up a few pounds, need to get the portions under control. I am going to try counting points agin with a heavy emphasis on protein/veggies. Thanks for all the help, wish you all the best |

I want the 50 degree weather too!! I got my a.m. running around done plus went to 2 different Kohl's and got a couple new things on their clearance racks. Then after lunch I went to the gym. I NEVER go to the gym in the p.m. but I forced myself to just do it. And now I'm proud of my self, lol.
I'm trying to learn my new phone. I don't know if I'm cut out for texting! Lol. My DD and DGD told me to just keep trying, lol. Practice makes perfect I guess.

Well, MKay..I'm sure you will lose them again..Just toss them away, never to be seen again. Deck is down..Just put a chair in front of each sliding glass door, so I don't plummet to my death..LOL..It's a second story deck... |

Morning!
Sandy - do you have a QWERTY keyboard? Those are the easiest! It's 60 here! Carolyn - Great idea on the chairs!! So - yesterday was DH's Bday. He had meetings in St Louis, and was down there all day. While he was there, he got a speeding ticket and then the van broke down! He spent the night at his sister's house and hopes to be home sometime today! Poor guy! |

Yes, MK, it's a qwerty keyboard but it's a touchscreen one. I'm getting the hang of it pretty well but I'm very disappointed in the calendar app. The farthest away you can set the reminders of appts. is 1 hour!! That just won't do so I'm heading back to Sprint to exchange it today. If my guy is working today. I'm going to go ahead and get a Blackberry. I'm used to being able to set my reminders up to a week in advance, which I need. At least a couple of days! Way more than one hour, that's for sure. It's a fun phone but not very functional so Blackberry here I come.
BTW, I have no idea why, but I was down to 144.5 today again and I have not been being very good. Which reminds me, the 2 day lasagna turned out very good and everybody loved it. |

Hi..
Still at 154 this morning..(after 2 eating outs). Hope it doesn't show up higher tomorrow. Hey, Sandy..take it..I love lasagne. You are pretty techy and I'm sure you can handle your blackberry very nicely. Are you getting the internet on it?? Gary has that..He can't work it except for the emails. Very handy for work. Poor MK's dh..What a bummer. Traffic tickets aren't cheap anymore, I have heard. I drive too slow, my dd says. Well, I signed up for a knitting class at Coffeyville C College..2 hours a week for around 6 weeks. I'm an okay knitting, but would like to be a super knitter.. |

I love my new Blackberry and yes it has the internet. I can do emails ok and can look up stuff online. I'm learning texting and I can BMS anyone with a BB pin. It's more like real time chatting than just texting. Lol. Like I really need that, lol. Oh well. I also can operate the GPS part of it. And the camera. And I can watch TV if I really want to, lol. Pretty small screen but might be nice on a plane or if I'm waiting for someone. Like at a Drs. office. Who knows? It all came in my Package. I like it way better than the one I took back.
I do not have the patience to knit. I've tried a couple times. That and crochet. Both of them make my shoulders tense up like steel! Have a great weekend everybody. |

Wow..Sandy, that blackberry sounds so fancy and it's nice you know how to use it.
I think this deck project is going to take a while...I think they said it would take less than a month. They are replacing some siding and guess who gets to paint it??? Gary, cuz I don't paint on ladders..But we will just do the part where the deck hitches up to the siding and we can pain the higher part when the deck is done.. When I was in NH I got a huge file of letters concerning my Uncle who was OSS in WWII and killed by the *****. My grandmother kept every letter/correspondence, etc. that was made during that time to the Army, friends, etc..It is mind boggling. However, it is so interesting to read them. I need to organize them in some sort of order, but just sifting through them now. My older brother let me take them home. |
