We are leaving early Friday morning for Florida and will return Saturday night as I have to work on Sunday. Airfare isn't cheap when you book 2 days out! I will talk to you all on Sunday. Have a good rest of the week.

Hi everyone

We ended up going to a baseball game yesterday, so I did as best as I could with food but I did end up having a few drinks but it's not a baseball game without a beer right.

I am down 1.5 so far which is great considering.

It's friday and the weekends have always been killers for me, gotta keep it together!

My thoughts with Cindy as well, funerals are tough.

Lia, I am curious about the book, be sure and let us know what you think of it.

I have the email/down loaded book thing, does this other 'real' book add more or is the email one I have pretty much cover all the bases?

The Decatur Celebration has begun!

I have eaten waaaaayyyyy too much!!

Got to see The Miracles tonight without Smokey Robinson.
They weren't bad.

Wandered around and people watched.
Bizarre "fair" people!!

Going shopping there with DD25 and DS20's GF tomorrow.

DS20 is going to be in the parade tomorrow.
He's dressing up as Gus (the blue fish!!)

Greetings from NH..

It is sooo beautiful here and we have had a great week, weatherwise..They have had lots of rain before we came, we have been really lucky.

First of all, prayers to Cindy and her bf's family. My goodness...what a tragedy that is..unbelievable.

Nice to see Gord and summergirl..

I've been bad..but have walked alot. It has been nice reconnecting with my brothers and cousins. Another picnic today.

Hugs to everyone..Miss you all..

Morning everyone and welcome to those coming back, joining up, etc.

MK, love your new picture, you are glowing!

Carolyn, glad you are having a wonderful time and I know it must be beautiful there.

DD#2 went to Julia last night and said it was great, I get so mad at our Dallas paper, they gave it a C-. They are so critical of most of the movies I really enjoy, hmmm, what's that mean? My friend wants to go see The Proposal today and we have free tickets that will work for that but not for Julia so we can see Julia later.

It must have been oreo week, I picked up a bag of the minis for DGS before he came over this week and found myself snatching a few several times. But, I don't think mini's count do they? They are so little and so cute.

The "Don't give a crud" diet seems to be the most popular one in America, not sure why there aren't more books out on it, I guess it is because everyone seems to just naturally know how to follow that one.

Heya, summergirl! I'm definitely anxious to get down to reading "Natural Health & Weight Loss," and to get started with the program.

Try as I might, I've never managed to locate a copy of the "Eat Fat, Get Thin" e-book that used to be available at Dr. Groves' site, although I'd love to have a copy!

If you wouldn't mind and are able to, could you email me a copy of it? (my email addy is plaguemistress @ tampabay.rr.com) If you can send a copy, I'd love to write up and share a little comparison review of both books!

Cheers, take care, and happy Saturday!

Saw ABBA Gold today - Great sing-a-long!!
Also Born Again Floozies were wonderful! A tap dancer, tuba player, trombone player, electric guitar and some kind of drum thing! They're from Ireland!

Hi..

Off to the airport this morning..

Nice to see Lia and Summer..I think the book is so much easier to read and has some updated things or other things..

What a riot, MKay. Looks like lots of fun.

Hi to Sandy, Buffy, Cindy (when she returns). My dd was very good for the most part on vacation. She ordered steamed mussels several times. Icky for me, but she loves them.

Catch ya later..I'm sure our kitty will be happy we are home.

The funeral of course was awful. The media was there as it was a big deal in this county. Tom's brother has been a family practice doc there for 25 years. He is doc to the Sherriff (sp?) and the Funeral director so many were there. The Sherriff is taking this personally and will work hard to find out who did it.
I am exhausted but glad I went to support Tom. He hates to fly and hasn't flown since 911 so I was a big help in that respect.

Hi everyone..

Back home..safe and sound. Beth/Shawn decided to give up their seats to KC and make some money. They each got $400, a free taxi ride from Portland airport to Boston's airport, 2 lunch vouchers and 2 dinner vouchers. What a riot..I think they got home about 4 hours later than planned and went to Boston/Washington, etc..LOL.

Cindy: So glad you were there for Tom..What a tragedy..Keep us posted..Southern food is of the debil for sure..

MK: Fairfood is too.

I am done with carbs this week..I did have bread with my burger and some fries..But, vacation is ovah. Although, I would love to be able to make a lowcarb Indian Pudding.

Catch ya in the morning for my post vacation weigh-in..

I'm still on Eastern time..LOL..

Well, I was up to 157 this morning..Left the building at 153, so I gained 4 pounds in 8 days. You know, I'm a professional weight gainer..So, that is what happens when a person overcarbs. 1/2 pound a day. Back on track right now.
Back to cooking, too..

Hope everyone is doing okay..

Morning!
Carolyn, welcome back. Oh, that is soooo easy to do, I am up 2 lbs just b/c I ate late last night.
Cindy, glad you were there for support but it sounds so sad. Hmm, the food sounds aweome though.
Hi Lia and Summer. Hope you find the book
MK, that looks and sounds like fun. North TX has what they call a state fair, besides the one in Dallas and it starts next week. I hardly ever go, even though it is 10 miles from here b/c in aug. here, it is soooooo hot that you can hardly stand it. Who ever got that started in Aug. is crazzzzzyyyy. The regular state fair in Dallas is in Oct. and there is a reason for that, hello????
Went to a casino yesterday with a friend to play slots, it was slots of fun, hehe.
Office work today!

State Fairs..Iowa had the bestest state fair. Food was incredible and then there is the sculptured butter cow..

Yup, its too hot for a partial state fair..Although, we have the Coffeyville Rodeo this week, but it's at night. Tues is the demolition derby..I'll stay home.

Went to Curves and did the treadmill for 45 minutes. Gosh, I'm tired..What the heck??

HI all,

I also had a rough weekend, everyday was about 90 percent decent...the 10 being a carby no no. This isn't exactly the start I hoped to have, I am down 1.5 since starting.

I started using ****** again and holy freakin cow, no wonder I have not been losing weight. On saturday we were out and about so I just winged it, thought I did pretty good. When I entered everything I was at 2600 cals and about 100 carbs.
Big reality check eh.

annoyed at myself this morning.
