Welcome Easy,

I have only been at it EFGT for 2 weeks now and still trying to get a handle on it. I think we have to tweak it as we go along and learn Barry's way of thinking.

I have enjoyed taking the CO it gave me much more energy and a brighter outlook on life.
So more energy to exercise which is the other side of the coin.

I weighed in a129.6 this morning, so getting there.
Glad you found us.

Eating: Welcome, welcome..My advice is not to overeat. You are a little "shorty"..Mary Kay is our other "shorty" and shorties can't eat as much as those "tall gals"..Listen to your body, keep your protein around 70-80 grams, don't eat bad carbs, drink water, and eat enough fat to keep you full.

Thanks for the tip.

I have wondered about getting enough fat? Afraid of having too much.

I'm new too!

Hi everyone,

I am new to this. On my second day in. This forum is so useful. I am 5'7" and weigh 193lbs.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but does it matter if I go over on my protein and fat? I try to keep the ratios but wasn't sure if I could remember reading that I didn't need to limit protein and fat.

Jools...Barry says that too much protein gets converted to glucose in your body so it does need to be limited to 1.5 times your BMI...there is a calculator around here somewhere...probably in the sticky at the top of the forum...please come and join us in the Marching into fitness thread...it's where we chat/answer/ask questions and get to know each other and help each other with our struggles
