Big Yapper!!!!

Just had Barrys pancake for lunch with 1 large English Banger n sf syrup.
I awoke to realize this moring I had run out of eggs. I went thru more this week on the WOE, so after my exercise class this morning I picked up 3 dozen and some cream of tartar. Scales were down a tad today, so hopefully the CO is doing its job now. I need to make up another batch of the Cocoa bark. That is sure an easy way to get the CO into me. Yeah! Loving this WOE! Hi All,
Thank you Carolyn for the Oopsie Roll recipe. I have a batch in the oven now as we speak. That recipe has made quite a few 'buns' at least a dozen and the left over mixture I put in a small pyrex bowl to make a small cobb (round loaf). I guess I will be sampling these for dinner tonight with another burger. So far they are rising lovely in the oven. Mary Kay, if I ever get fit and strong enough I want to try those spinning classes. DD and her girlfriend used to do then and they are runners and said they were a tough workout. WTG! Cindy, hope you got the hormone stuff sorted. Sandy, have you managed to chase that bug away? Buffy, Anymore shopping expeditions? A big wave in case I forgot someone. Susan 129# this a.m. |

I just got back from the feed store. We found a buddy for JJ. They are already acting like siblings and fighting over the same piece of green bean despite the fact that are 15 OTHER pieces in the bowl! :lol
I will post photos tomorrow. I got called to sub at Bunko tonight and I have to go buy something for the prize exchange at the end. I think this is the breed I have. Ducks If not, it is a mallard. I will know for sure when it is full grown. Rouen's are bigger than mallard. |

We had Rouens when i was little. Something about better eggs, my grandmother said. Hormone stuff for me is a non-issue. I'm not symptomatic, just being proactive to keep feeling great. Susun, CO bark is my fav but dinner was steamed broccoli, tofu shirataki noodles and my homemade CO mayo that, when lightly microwaved, is a great faux hollaindaise (sp) sauce. That is another good way to get your CO. How did your Oopsies turn out? If you haven't seen a pic, they do fall when they come out of the oven and get a "cobbled" top. I ate 2 right out of the oven with butter.

The new duck has a name. SInce it keeps trying to jump out of whatever container it is on, it will henceforth be known as BUNGIE.

Hi...
We flew over your State, Zilla..I tried to see little JJ and her new friend Bungie..How cute....I think JJ is really happy to have a friend who looks like her. Made it to Phoenix..It is 70 degrees now..The "air" is on in the room..Good thing I didn't bring my winter coat. Everyone made it to the airport on time..But no time for dinner, so I had peanuts and diet sprite..I just grabbed an apple from the breakfast bar. Cya later... |

Hi everyone..
Zilla: Bungie is adorable.. I'm sure he/she will get big like our JJ soon after living at your house. I didn't know they liked green beans..It is very nice weather here and we are heading out for my brother's house in Superior this morning..Shawn took a dip in the outdoor pool..eek..He said the hot tub was really nice though. Have a nice day everyone..The breakfast bar has hard boiled eggs on it..and yoggie, so I've been good so far.......Portion control is my mantra this week..Hmmm..I wonder what real taco chips taste like??????????? My big trouble spot..

Oh my Lord, Zilla, they are adorable!! I would have to keep both of them. They are too cute. Carolyn, that weather is going to spoil you. I was deployed to El Paso about 1 1/2 years ago and I now know what they mean by "dry heat". I've never done as much as I did there because it was so nice to be outside.
Oopsie breakfast this morning: A toasted Oopsie with an egg, bacon, Munster cheese and Walden Farms strawberry jam. Boy that was good! Makes me want to make a Monte Cristo with an Oopsie. At work for 24 hours today. Hope everyone's day goes well. |

Morning everyone, wow, I slept until 11:00 am this morning, I have been very tired lately.
Love the new duck Bungie and such a good little pal for JJ. My Tinker (cat) would so love to have those in the house to watch. Carolyn, for some reason I thought you guys were driving, glad your flight went well and you are enjoying the warm weather. DD's inlaws from Canada are going home today, they have been here a week, half of it was around 70 and the last few days very cold and rainy. Eating was good yesterday, cottage cheese for meal 1 and steak, salad and just a little baked potato for meal 2. Tried a new hair stylist yesterday, I really really liked her. But, I was there 4 hours!! She did a great cut/shaping and then colored my hair and of course it was for the first time. She said my hair was very damaged and we determined that it was the dryer I use, which is way too hot. So, she wanted to be careful with the color. Well, it came out brassy and so she worked and worked to tone it down, actually it is kind of a pretty blonde and brassy I think, haha. Anyway, she asked me to come back in a week so she could put some more toner on it at no charge, she wanted it perfect. I think I have found a keeper, she really spent time with me on how to blow it dry, asked me to start using boars hair brushes, what products, etc. Of course, when I fix it it won't look as cute as when she did it, but it is just a basic bob. Have to get packed today to go to DD#2's house for 6 days to babysit, it is 40 minutes away so I can run home if needed but I want to take the work I need to do on my computer and my laptop along so I am productive. I will have the help of her nanny during the day so I can work and babysit. DGS 9 is also coming for a couple of days since he will be out on spring break. busy, busy, busy.

Morning!
Rise and shine! I slept horribly last night - luckily nothing much is going on today. DD22 wants to take a walk this morning then she's off to Bloomington to get fitted for her MOH dress for a wedding in May. She'll be back later tonight. DH is taking DS19 back to school. In spite of him being a pain, I'll miss him. Wake up people! ![]() |

Tuscangirl, I wonder if you sleepless nite had to do with the Olive Garden!! haha I know my body freaks when I go way off my diet. But those Olive Garden commercials do get to me. I love Italian, not as much as mexican, but, oh, eggplant Parmesan. Actually, there are a lot of LC recipes for egg. parm., I just haven't done it yet. Pomegranate martini, now that sounds worth a sleepless night. I'm not scolding you, I'm living vicariously through you!! Home now after a 24 hour shift but I'm on backup call all day so I'll pray my phone doesn't ring. 60's here today so spring has finally sprung. Can't wait for my rose trees to arrive. I'm ready to plant some flowers. I love to garden. When I was little, grandma used to go get a bug or two and feed to the baby ducks. Oh, there was nothing better than a big juicy grasshopper! One would have it in their mouth and the others would chase it around.

MK, the male cat thought he was bad to the bone and was going to stalk the ducks when we first got them. It didn't work out as planned. They chased him under the wheel barrow and he was trapped there all day until Ed rescued him

Hey you guys, do any of you remember me? I know Buffy from several other threads. I'm not doing the EFGT, but I would love to join you all for the fitness part of this, if you don't mind.
Buffy, I found out on Feb 13 that I'm diabetic. Doc is giving me til April 20 to make my numbers come down and lose some weight (it was sort of put to me as a do it or else... NICE doc!!!) or I have to go on pills. Any ideas how I can make it go down? I've been taking my lunch instead of eating our daycare food (VERY high in carbs) and using the Brownberry 12 grain bread, I LOVE that stuff!!! Watching the sugar that I eat cuz I do love my deserts and replacing them with SF things. And exercise, I really need to incorperate exercise into my life. I'm very lazy when it comes to exercise, would rather be napping, reading, etc but I need to start finding my hidden love for it. I'm sure it's hidden there, just need to find it.

Hi everybody,
Becky, great to see you!! Yep, LC or EFGT is great for diabetics. You can do it! Sorry to be MIA lately. I'm having major router problems which I made worse trying to fix it myself. So I have to call a tech tomorrow to come save me, lol. I just wanted to pop by and say hi. I'm feeling better but still not great. I get so tired so easily. I just want to be back to normal, |

SJL330, I think we are on our 3rd router! Do they go bad that quickly??!!
Becky, I agree with everyone else. LC or EFGT would work great. I wish I could get my Type 2 diabetic mother to adapt it. She's about 5'4" and 220 pounds, down from 240. Her mother was diabetic but she was childhood onset, which is Type 1. Mom is Type 2 which is mostly preventable and very controllable with diet and weight control. Mom still thinks bread is good for you. MOM!! Now if you want bread that is good for you, I know I've already pimped the LC bread from Julian bakery. I had 4 slices yesterday (!). My excuss is I was home 45 minutes after being on 24 hours (I did sleep overnight) and was called back in for an 8 hour case. I did grab all my good LC food like and Oopsie with a salmon patty but I do like that bread TOO much. And it has 12 grams of fiber per slice. I had 48 grams of fiber yesterday just in bread! I don't know about you guys but I almost always have more than 30 grams of fiber a day. I think yeaterday was something crazy like 55 grams. No ill effects though. Going to lunch with a friend to On The Boarder at town center . They have a great fajita that has grilled japaleno and grilled green chiles with steak (I bring my own tortilla). Talk at you later. |

Becky....on EFGT I brought my A1C's down from 7.9 to 6.5....6 is the high end of normal so I'm almost there...I have also lost a total of 23.5 lb since last April....at first I just cut of the white stuff and later I moved on to EFGT...it's a wonderful plan and very easy to follow
everyone....I'm down 4.5 since I knuckled down on March 1st and very very happy![]() |
