Hi kids..

Gosh..that Jack is as bad as Jason on The Bachelor..Poor Janet..will send up healing prayers for her little leg. Honestly, I could never "process" a duck..It would have to be a vet "thing"..God Bless her little soul...

Hey..Sandy congrats on your weight loss..

Gosh, Mary Kay..your ds and Janet have something in common. Bad legs..Hope he gets well fast and doesn't have to have any serious intervention. Just don't put him a box, K?

Happy Birthday, Bailey.

Barb and I have been having fun..She found lots of bargains today. She seldom gets to go out when she's at home in Salem..(no car), so it is real treat for her to be in stores
looking at stuff. Tomorrow we are heading for Pittsburg with my friend Dianne..We will eat at Applebees.

Hugs and I miss you guys alot...........I am down a few..but still at 151..grumble..

I wll be back on the wagon tomorrow, I promise you! There I said it, now come get me if I am not on here in the morning posting away and eating VLC.

Where are you Buffy??????? Yoooo-Hooooo - Buffy???? JK - I know you'll be here!

Question about the binge though. When you say binge does that mean you eat a LOT of stuff or just eat off plan? When I say a LOT I mean - like a pizza and pound of M&Ms (my friend can eat a whole pound bag by herself).

Morning!

I've already been spinning this morning, ashes at 12:00, doc appt for DS16 at 2:30 and hopefully washing the car and going to the library in there too.
It's supposed to be 60° today!!

Pittsburg??? KS???? That's just down the road from me, lol. A bit. Have a fun day.

I'm down a bit more today. I figure that's the end of the water weight, now hopefully the fat will start melting away.

Buffy, look forward, not back. We're not perfect and probably never will be. It's what we do the majority of the time that counts in the end, I think.

I'm here, I'm here and I am OK! No binge thoughts today, just ready to eat more meat and fat. I love meat but I do admit, it gets boring. I want to work with this to get the weight off but I don't think I will morph into one of the die hard ZCbers out there who never eat anything but meat. One guy and his family, wife, 2 boys, eat nothing but pemmican and have for 5 years!!! I guess they are super healthy but wow. I want to just use this in my battle to lose the weight, it might be done in spurts as well. Just another gun in my gun cabinet, . Going to blast that fat right off of this old bod, one way or another!!!
LE, when I ate regular high carb SAD, I would go on binges that would last for several days and I would just eat and eat and eat, large quantities of things, usually sugar/salt crunchy, inhale, repeat, it was bad. This was my comfort zone, I would even plan them, go to the store, get everything I wanted to binge on, it is an ED for sure!
Low carb has helped me more than anything, it really does curb it but I still do it some. Sometimes I do it with LC treats, which is the lesser of evils I guess. Both times I have done it since starting VLC it has been with ezekial toast of all things, but with lots of butter on it, so the crunchy/fat and then I ate some candy. I didn't eat an enormous amount and it seems that I can turn it around quicker on VLC but it is still a problem I am working on. I started doing this back when I was still a kid. Didn't even know other people did it or that it had a name for years, just wondered what made me do it???? You guys are my therapy group, aren't you honored,

It doesn't sound so terrible to me - just sounds like you went off plan for a meal. I will not tell you that I won't do the same at some point. So far my weight goals have been a higher priority at times when I've been tempted. However, I will not tell you that I will never have popcorn at a movie or never go for pizza with my kids and grandkids. I would like to get to a point in maintenance where every once in a while, I will eat what I want. If you can get to where your "controlled binges" are spread a little further a part - I bet it would be manageable and not nearly the problem it has been for you. That's my two cents worth, anyway.

Hi guys...

We did some antique malls and ate lunch at Applebees.. I was good today.

How's our little Janet? Don't they have places for handicapped ducks..?

You know...most of us have "indiscretions" carbwise from time to time..I do think these need to be conscious "choices"..Like I choose to eat some taco chips before my salad
at the Mexican restaurant. That way it seems that we are in control of our food..not the food being in control of us. Then if we gain on the "choices" we make, we own them and realize that we made those choices. Then we go on with our little lives...LC.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

MKay: What did the doctor say about ds today?

Hi and hugs to everyone............

Morning!

DS is going to see the orthopedic today - his doc thought there might be a stress fracture that they missed in the ER because of all the swelling.

So off to the doc again!

Carolyn - I'm trying to do the 40 days of Lent on plan. It shouldn't be that hard, right?!
Plus if I want I can have Sunday's off. I may need them!!

Zilla - how is Janet?? I always thought Chrissie was the more delicate flower!

Buffy - thoroughly honored!

Hi kiddos..

You know..Mary Kay..that is an excellent idea for Lent..Now, just remember who tempted
Jesus in the desert with turning stones to bread..?

Those stress fractures are tricky and can't be seen until after the injury sometimes..Poor kid..

Went to Curves, then off to do some more stores/lunch with Beth's minlaw/ then tonight we are going to an opera at the jr. college..The Medium..I guess it is supposed to be
dark..We might not make it through the whole thing.

I was at 151.8 this morning.........grumble, grumble..But, it could be a lot worse. I started taking my synthroid at night to see if it is more effective.

Hugs all around to my dear friends.....

Morning gang!
Wow, 70 degrees, kind of humid and supposed to get to 84 here today! Yikes!
Just office work today.
Carolyn, you are right about us making choices, sometimes we all do that and I think that is fine when we do controlled choices to have some carbs, to me, this is about making our plan work for us and our lifestyle.
MK, hope things go well for DS at ortho doc.
Hey to everyone else!

Oh Linda!! I'm so sorry!!!!

Carolyn - Fingers crossed I can do this. I'll be so much happier in 40 days if I do!

Buffy - I'd love your weather. Today is our second day of 60°, but it's rainy.
Tomorrow is supposed to be 30°!!

The ortho put him in a boot. The CNP said they'll look at it again in 2 weeks when the swelling should have gone down enough to see if he broke it. Actually they said they could tell if the bone had started to regrow and THAT'S how they'll tell if it's broken!

They also said his growth plates are about fused. Does that mean he won't get any taller?

Poor Janet. I'm so sorry Linda.

MK, I hope DS's bones all heal perfectly. It's so scary when they get hurt before they're done growing. My DGS broke his shoulder in wrestling this winter and they said it was close, or next to, or something like that to his growth plate. I think he's grown 6" this year already and I doubt he's done yet. He just turned 16 and can't wait to wrestle again.
That's a great Lenten resolution. You can do it! The priest leading our parish mission told the whole congregation that attending the 4 night mission would fulfill our Lenten penance, which sounded good to me. I'm not sure what our priest thought of that announcement, lol. We have one more night to go. With the way my neck and shoulders have hurt since my flu last week, it really has been very hard to get there.

Hi..

Sandy, you little snickerdoodle..I wish I could lose like you..

Oh..Zilla....sympathy for Miss Janet..I guess she crossed the rainbow bridge. At least the poor little thing doesn't have to worry about Jack's advances anymore.

Gosh, MKay..your poor ds..I'm sure he will be fine in a month or so, don't you think? Maybe the "girls" will give him lots of sympathy.

We are going to a light opera tonight...It's about seances..

We are leaving for KCity...Gosh, Sandy..I don't know our plans, but will probably be tied up sightseeing with Barb, etc..

Well, Janet did encourage Jack. She really liked her man. I just need to find another duck before he ends up wearing out Lana!!! Good thing Lana is a bit sturdier. Like Janet, she loves her man. If we could only get Jack and Chrissy to get along

I still have viable egg in the incubator. It is due to hatch next week. It could be a Janet baby. Cross your fingers for me.

Zilla, sorry about Janet. Here's hoping for a waddling baby girl named J.J. (Janet Junior).

Carolyn sounds like you're having a blast.

MK, sorry DS is having such a hard time, hopefully he will be all healed and ready to go by the time the new swim season starts.

I'm down a pound today to 146!!! It's probably a good day to buy a lottery ticket..... I'm down a pound, having new furniture delivered in a few minutes, and leaving for fun and sun on the water as soon as the delivery guys leave. Just doesn't get much better than that!!!!

Hope you all are doing something fun this weekend, too.

Sharon

Morning!

I went to spin class. It was fun - no really!
She played cartoon songs (like Flintstones, Scooby Doo) and TV theme songs.
It really made the time zip by when you're singing along . . . . (in my head of course! )

I have a doc appt at 10:30, need to get to the bank & grocery store, massage at 1:30, and pick up DS16 as soon as I'm done. Walk the dog and I'm in for the night! Phew.
I'm tired already!

We had rain here last night - lots of it - thunder and lightening too!
A house was struck by lightening and caught fire on the north side of town!

DS is doing better today. I loved the CNP at the orthopedics' office.
She was amazing!!

Then during spin class this morning, I realized the doc was sitting next to me!
He's been there a while, I just haven't paid attention! So I told him what a great office he has. He was glad to hear it.

DS16 and his daughter are in geometry class together and his wife is in my PEO group, but knowing all this would require me being awake at 6:00am and usually I'm not!

Sharon - good for you!!
I tend to lose in .2 increments!
Where are you going?

Linda - A JJ - how fun!! Will you need to separate Lana & Jack occasionally?

Carolyn - A light opera about séances??? Seriously?! More details please!

I already planned on naming the baby JJ....LOL
If it is a girl, Janet Junior, if it is a boy, Jack Junior

There is a duck that looks like Chrissy that just became available for adoption at the humane society. I am going to call today and see if I can come and check it out.

That's a great name, JJ! Whichever sex it is, it works.

MK, you are such a busy little bee! I don't know how you do it all. You must have tons of energy, which is a very good thing.

I was down another .5 pounds today. That's 5.5 this week and puts me back in my goal window. I want to lose a couple more though and I know it's going to slow down any minute.
