Tracking for a New Year..January
This is a thread for those who want to keep track and share what they are eating this month...:):clap::clap::clap:

Today is Monday..This is what I have eaten/plan to eat..
Breakfast: One egg with one piece of sausage..coffee Snack: Large iced coffee with SF vanilla syrup Lunch: Chicken salad with celery, cup of SF hot chocolate Dinner: Small steak with spinach. |
Ok, I'll give this a try. I'm not good at journaling, even online.
B: coffee/1/2 & 1/2 L: 1 c. Texas Red chili; homemade, no thickener or beans D: Spring greens salad with SF homemade balsamic dressing and fried pork steak S: if I think I have to have something I'll have some sharp cheese Oh, and I worked out, walked and shopped too! Walmart had a Missing Person poster of me on their door, lol. |
I added in some shrimp with SF cocktail sauce and some bacon for my snack. No cheese.

Tuesday: B: coffee/1/2 & 1/2 bacon S: shrimp/sf cocktail sauce L: pork steak D: pork carnitas; meat only spring greens with sf balsamic dressing and a little bit of fresh parmesan S: dill pickle 8 olives 1 slice swiss cheese 1 oz extra sharp cheddar 1 oz hard salami |
Wed:
B: coffee/1/2 & 1/2 2 slices bacon L: pork carnitas salad w/sf bal. dressing. D: chili (no beans or masa) w/sour cream and cheddar cheese S: sharp cheddar cheese |
Thursday:
B: coffee/1/2 & 1/2 bacon S: sourkraut L: pork carnitas; meat only spring greens with sf balsamic dressing and a little bit blue cheese and roasted red pepper. D: ribeye, salad S: salami & swiss cheese & olives I've craved salty stuff all day!! And I feel very alone over here on this thread all by myself!!!! |

Thursday: Breakie: 2 scrambled eggs Snack: SF mocha Lunch: 1/4 chicken breast, tiny bit of cabbage, peas, I used a salad plate for the buffet at lunch. Cut back alot. Dinner: 2 ounces of roast beef, spinach with butter dessert: Flourless chocolate cake: 2/3 of an egg, 2 tsp. butter, 2 Tbs. of cocoa and some sweetener. Small scoop of sf ice cream. |

B: coffee/1/2 & 1/2 1 egg with butter S: sourkraut L: buffalo chicken strips in spring greens with sf balsamic dressing and a little bit of parmesan cheese and roasted red pepper. D: Philly cheese steak innards. S: swiss cheese & salami |

My menu today: Early...coffee with cream B...3 devilled eggs, coffee with cream S...yocheese L...3 devilled eggs S...2 pieces almond CO bark D...side salad with ranch, burger patty, 1 slice bacon S...coffee with cream, diet cream soda with cream, raspberries with splenda and cream...:eek: Cals...1590 Fat...13.3 (77%) Carbs...35.2 (9%) (12.4 Fibre) Protein...57.1 ( 15% ) My carbs are a little low and my fat is a little high but on the whole I think it looks good...:up:... I need to get the after dinner snacking under control but I'm not going to sweat it until day 3 or so when I will hopefully be in ketosis.... |
lise, since i don't eat sugar/starch, my carbs are never very high. the only ones i ate yesterday; 1/2 apple w pb and some strawberries in my smoothie. barry does not eat that many either. those are guidelines. i do, however, keep the protein at moderate levels and follow the fat guidelines. works great. too much protein is what increases my BS.

Today:
2 eggs 1.5 sausage links coffee/half and half salad with grilled chicken dinner??? steak or salmon with salad and probably a couple of beers. sorry guys. |
Dessert was 1/10th of the fudge brownie pie I made with a little SF ice cream..I'm full..:)

Finally had somewhat of a normal eating day.
Lunch at TX Roadhouse. small sirloin tossed salad with blue cheese dressing sweet potato with butter glass of wine nothing at movies besides a diet coke :-) chicken soup with LC crackers some cream cheese with pepper jelly, more crackers Fage with smuckers SF jam mixed in |

Not to me Carolyn, haha. That's partly why I don't post my menu very often, I eat weird more often than not. Whatever is around and sounds good. I am just glad to have 2 full days of LC under my belt again.

Hello lovely ladies and a very Happy New Year to you all!
I was BAD over Christmas and have had a few false starts since my return to France but today I am really up for it! I had a great bit of news... I had a check up over the Christmas holidays back at my old doctors' surgery in Guernsey. I was eating low carb for at least three or four months prior to my appointment - of course the nurse asked me about my eating habits and was horrified at the amount of fat, meat and eggs I eat these days. She told me that eating between 3 and 6 eggs a days was hazardous to health - as was lard and butter, and that this WOULD show up in my cholesterol results Well - there was a change in my cholesterol levels! Last year it was 4.74 - I was eating very low fat at that point - and this year it's down to 3.06 (In the UK anything under 5 is good) IN YOUR FACE, NURSE LADY!!!!!!! Hope you are all well - I'm feeling a bit sluggish after the carb fest but this bit of news (PROOF positive that it works for me) has really cheered me up Back on it! xxx |

Sat: B-2 oopsies, 2 sunnyside up eggs, 1 slice bacon, 2 SF sausage links, 1/2 oz cheddar L-brocolli salad (has ham in it), tossed salad, oil dressing D-brocolli salad, crab dip off a spoon S-almonds, cashews Sun: B-yocheese L-:dunno:..I had a grumpy day and didn't journal D-2 oopsies, cottage roll, 16 oz cabbage fried in butter S-3 pieces of CO bark Today so far: B-coffee with cream, yocheese S-1 piece CO bark L-(planned) 3 eggs, devilled D-(planned) chicken breast, fast fried in CO, more cabbage fried in butter S-raspberries and cream :love: |

Chicken caesar salad 2 LC biscuits, buttered and 1 with Smuckers SF Blackberry jam |

I forgot I ate an apple today. A green, not very sweet one. It tasted good though. And I had some nuts for snack this eve.
