Yep, it's an extra heavy duty anti-bio. My mom had to take it a lot. When DH got that stuff he took a round of it, but it really didn't seem to do much. I think ours was virus related. Hope he feels better soon.

Hi...
guys are watching the big game..OSU/Florida.. I posted my menu for Sandy..I was meaning to do that. I wish we had a Costco..grumble..but in B'ville we do have an Aldi's..Beth (KCity) loves Aldi's and goes there all the time.. I made a flourless chocolate cake for dessert tonight for the 3 of us..Did it in the microwave and it was very nommie and quick.. Just a quick recipe: Flourless 3 minute cake for 2-3 peeps. In a bowl beat 2 eggs, then add 6Tbs. of cocoa, 1/2 tsp. almond extract or vanilla extract or both, sweetener to taste..I use sweetzfree, then add 2 Tbs. melted butter/coconut oil.Mix this all up and then add 3/4 tsp. baking powder and mix. I poured this into a 6 inch pyrex dish that was greased and microwaved it for about 1 minute 20 seconds until done..Let set and serve with a tiny bit of ice cream or whipped cream..

Morning all!
MK, and hope you get better today. Do you have enough chicken soup? I still have some from the other day - 2nd batch. I'll send some your way!The soup stock I use is Kitchen Basics. It's lower in sodium with no preservatives and tastes really good. I usually just add it to any soup I'm making to boost the flavor. Sandy, why are you alone? C'mon over for some coffee. I still have my tree up so we can sit by the fire and enjoy the tree. Have no idea when I'll take it down - probably next week. Have just been to tired to do it. Dh said he'd bring the boxes up this weekend, so I'll probably start it on Monday. Yuk! Love the soup thread and the link! When my tummy has healed, I'll make some of them. Right now, the chicken soup seems to be about the only thing that doesn't give me trouble. Am doing better, though. I see the dr on Monday. Carolyn, the flourless chocolate cake sounds so good. It's another recipe I'm parking until I can eat chocolate again. I think I'm going to need some "snow sympathy" this weekend! We're getting a snowstorm starting tonight 3-5" tonight then another 4-12 tomorrow. At least we have no plans for the weekend and dh can plow tomorrow. I'm ready for spring!

Hi Ladies-- greetings from Sunny Tampa! I have finally settled in and gotten over the worst case of jet lag ever. Going from Hawaii to home and now Tampa in less than a week really messed with my sleep schedule. I was lucky if I got three hours a night sleep since I got here almost a week ago. Lack of sleep and working 16 hours a day has not been a good combo. But I did manage 5 hours last night and am feeling pretty good today.
Welcome to all new peeps on this board. Have been enjoying reading your posts from the last week. Well my official weigh in for January 1st was 160. I stepped on the scale today and was at 159. Fortunately since I am looking at food 16hrs a day, the last thing I want to do is eat, so staying on plan has been pretty easy. What I love about this plan is that since the fat ratio is so high getting in enough calories is pretty easy to do even when you are not eating very much. hoping to lose 12lbs during the six weeks I am here. We'll see. Now if I could just drag myself to the gym every night that would be great, especially since it's a whole 250ft away from where I am staying. You would think It would be easy, but I can make up an excuse for anything. BBL, gotta run |

Shon, thanks for the invite. I was talking about being all alone over on the tracking thread though. I thought everyone forgot it was there but Carolyn popped in and posted. But the coffee sounds good; however the snow does NOT. So maybe another time, lol.
Ashland, I too can make an excuse for anything. I think we all can, don't you? I hope you recover from your jet lag quickly and enjoy your time there. And hit that gym, hear? |

MK, I'm sorry, I thought the meds were for your DS. Did he get something too? I hope you get well soon. Try to rest which I know is hard especially for you. You're usually a whirlwind of activity and I think it's harder to rest for those of us who are always doing "something". But try ok?

Morning everyone...
MK, I have taken that antibiotic b/4, I can't remember if it is the one that upsets my tummy, one of them does. Hope it isn't that one. I haven't posted my menu b/c it is soooo bad, not bad foods but it isn't very Barry like. I really eat "to my meter" as some diabetics call it. I eat a general low carb but if it doesn't spike my blood sugar, I will eat it, like beans for instance. And, some carbs I can eat as long as I eat them with protein. Anyway, I decided it wasn't a good example of EFGT. Yes, Smokey, you are so right, and Carolyn. Chips don't fit into any plan. All of the talk about snowstorms sure reminds me of the years I lived on the farm in Iowa, it would start snowing in the afternoon and snow, snow, snow all night. We would wake up early to listen and see if school was called off and I could let the kids sleep in. Then later, they would have so much fun out playing in the snow. Have a hair appt. today for a badly needed color tuneup!

Hi Sandy!
Yep that medicine was for me. DS19 actually made it to the doc - he's the one with the Zpac. ![]() Don't worry about keeping up! ![]() I did run some errands this morning, but I'm home for the rest of the day - maybe even a little rest! Shon - I heard about that storm! We're supposed to get a little snow/freezing rain tonight but right now it's 41 and sunny! Ashland - don't tell me the temp in Tampa - I'll cry! You're probably getting plenty of exercise - at least until you get more sleep!

Hi everyone..
Did my faux Curves and had a haircut...etc.. Well, I was still at 149 this morning..yippee...Maybe by next Friday I will be at 148. Tonight we are taking a Chinese man out for dinner. He works in China for Gary's company, and it will be fun. I'm having the crab claws..They take so long to eat, it's a good thing. Ashland: From Hawaii to Tampa..Wow..you are our "Southern" friend for sure.. Mary Kay; Good luck on your drugs. Are you going to take a probiotic with it?So that you don't get a yeast infection? Shon: Gosh on the snow...It is funny where the snow comes from and lands in Ohio. We usually "give" our snow to Joplin, MO and St. Louis. However, we have been very lucky this year. Buffy: We don't care if you are a good example of Barry or not..If it helps you to post, then do it.. Hugs all around to Jem, Zilla, and Margot and whoever stops by.. |

![]() Sandy - I want to see that movie!! A friend asked me to go tonight, but I don't think I'll be awake! Carolyn - good idea on the probiotics! I did have some yogurt today. It's one pill a day for 7 days, so hopefully not long enough to cause a problem. |

![]() I have been off the fat for fuel track since Jan 2...I've been eating the most carbs I could get away with while keeping my sugar levels under control which works well for maintenance I guess but I need to get serious and lose these 50ish lbs so today I have promised myself no more games....it's EFGT until goal.... ...I'm up a few lbs from my Jan 1 WI so I'll have a fight to show a net loss this month but I'm up to the challenge...I have posted my menu in the tracking thread and would appreciate all comments and advise... I'm enjoying following along even though I don't have many chances to chime in... Have a great evening ![]() Lise |

Evening everyone.
Hair is just a tune up color, no change in style. Sandy, glad to hear that movie was good, our paper gave it a D, but I have learned not to rely on it. Yum, crab claws! We went to Cracker Barrell tonight, I let myself get too hungry and didn't do the best. Will be better tomorrow and eat on time. |

Well Buffy, it definitely will not be up for any awards, lol, but it's a cute chick flick for sure. I never trust the official "reviewers" anymore. They all gave Rachel Getting Married great reviews and it was the MOST depressing movie I've ever seen. Plus it was shot like a documentary and it almost made my DD motion sick watching it. The acting was good but a very depressing, sad story.

Hi all! Ok, this really is more snow than I want!!!!!!!
We are just getting pounded big time. And it's very wet & heavy. There's about 6" that fell overnight and another 6 this morning and it's getting worse for this afternoon. Dh has been out 2x already and is about to go out again. Could someone please turn this off???? ![]() Making more chicken soup for today - need it to keep dh warm. Hi Carolyn, Sandy, MK, Linda, Jem, Buffy, Lise and Ashland girl and anyone I missed! Hope you are all enjoying better weather than here! |

You can keep the white stuff Shon. I try to leave all white stuff alone, including snow, lol.
I dropped down to 146 one day this week but bumped back up to 147 and have been sitting there a couple of days. I think the salty cravings have something to do with that. I wanted a beer so bad last night with DH but I resisted and I'm glad I did. We have dinner with several friends tonight and I might have a cocktail then. But maybe not. I'll work on my reserve all day and see what happens.
