Love the kitty pic. And I can so relate to her problem too, lol.

Yep, we went to church then to visit Dad. Then to see Defiance. It was great. I just can't believe how those poor people survived all that horror. We are so lucky that we live here in the best country in the world. Even with it's flaws. I so appreciate living here and having the freedom we have.

I'm stuck at 146-147. Which I'm really not complaining about considering how I've eaten this past week or so. I think it's actually my 'set' point and I don't have the determination to get it down where I'd like it to be long enough to change the set point as a new one.

After the movie we went to the pet store to get fish supplies for Dad's fish and then over to his house to feed them and get the mail. Then we went to Cascone's for dinner. It was wonderful, as usual. I did bring 1/2 of it home so at least I didn't stuff myself.

MK, is DD home yet? With all us moms worrying/praying about/for her, she's sure to get home safe.

I'm sick of this cold and we have snow on the way too. As long as the weather is good Sat. a.m. I can take it this week.

LOL..I am that kitty cat. I did buy a size 12P part of black slacks from Wallie to get me through.. I think I am developing more muscles in my thighs, but the fat has to melt off otherwise the muscles push out the fat..KWIM?

Sandy: Glad your dad's fish are still alive. We have ice/snow or something on the way tomorrow afternoon..

I felt sorry for Zilla's ducks in the snow..they need little parkas with hoods.

Wifezilla you have ducks? I had them for years until my last quackers died at almost 11 last summer. They are funny pets!

Breakfast was 1 egg, 2 bacon and 1/2 can mushrooms cookied in coconut oil. Coffe with 1 T cream

Good morning..

I'm freezing here..23 degrees, but it's supposed to get messy..I have my endo appointment 40 miles away tomorrow..............The doctor only comes 2 times a month to this facility from Wichita. So..I don't know if I will make it tomorrow..depending on the weather.

I love those duck sweaters............ Brrr...those little ducks in 3 degree weather. We have "live" ducks on the pond in back of our house, but they just pop in. I guess they are full of fat, so they keep warm.

Glad MK's dd got back safe and sound.

On the kitty cat..Notice the part of the basket that is overflowing.. the rear part..
Can I hear an "Amen"? LOLOL.

Well, I'm making beef soup out of the rest of the Italian beef from Friday. I will add some beef broth, a can of tomatoes, cook up some celery/onion/tiny bit of carrot, add some green beans..put in 3 or 4 peas (for color).

Well, I am thinking I will cancel the appointment. I called her office in Wichita and she is still planning on coming, but I doubt if she will make it...Ice is a big problem around our area, I would rather have snow..

I just made a big pot of soup..for two. I might get smart and freeze a bunch for another
time as we get kinda sick of eating it after 2 days...

Have a great day..Keep warm..

Morning!
Who has coffee???

Today I have to take my mom to the eye doc - pray for me!
Then a couple of errands . . . . I'm not sure it's worth it to take her with me, or easier to take her all the way back and then do my errands alone . . . .

Snowy here too - I'm tired of this!!!

Morning MK - can't have coffee but I'll make some for you! Hope it goes ok with your mom. How has she been doing?

Sandy, how is your dad? I've tried to keep up with what's been going on, but I've not been on my 'puter every day, so I'm doing some catching up!

Hi to all our newbies - Michelle, Sunny and hi to Lise, Carolyn, Buffy, Smoky, and Linda and anyone I missed.

Had my ct scan yesterday - no news yet. Still not feeling so well, but the ulcer pain has subsided somewhat. Staying in today - again - expecting another snowstorm tonight and tomorrow. Seems we're hitting the snow "bullseye" again! I am going to try to get a few things done today. We'll see how much progress I make. Going to make more chicken soup today - seems that's one of the things that's keeping me sane! You'd think I would have lost some lbs, but no - at least it's stayed the same. I guess I was just hoping for a little more progress in that category.

Everyone stay warm - bbl.

Shon - I'm surprised you haven't lost weight too!!
The chicken soup is amazing - keep at it!

Mom is more and more confused. Good days and bad.
Today will be a surprise!

Michelle - we certainly are! We were supposed to get a couple of inches last night - but I don't think we did!

I think it's probably because I haven't been eating enough protein or fat and haven't been able to move around as much as I normally do. But with the pain getting somewhat better, I'm trying to do more. And drinking enough water has been difficult. If I drink too much, I get nauseated on top of the pain. I am making progress, though. It's just not fast enough for me!

Hi Shon, I hate that you're still dealing with the tummy problems. Surely they'll find out exactly what the problem is and then be able to fix it for you.

Dad is doing well in rehab. I'm not sure when he'll get to go home. I'd love for it to be before Sat. when I leave, but if not, I know my brother can handle everything while I'm gone.

Cold here too but we missed the brunt of the snow and ice, thank goodness.

Good morning..

Wonder how our ducks are doing...Hope they are keeping warm..

We are getting some icy stuff, but not like other parts of the country. No school today, of course. Gary went to work, of course..

I know what you mean about taking your mom on errands..MKay..and it's too cold to sit in the car, isn't it?

I'm sure Sandy is getting ready for warmer places..sounds like fun. Your dad will be fine and they might keep him a bit longer there, too.

Shon: Gosh...I think sometimes when we are sick, our bodies slow down the metabolism so we don't really lose much weight..Soup sounds good, too.

Lise: I need to look up the Centigrade stuff..

Hi to Michelle and anyone I might have missed.

I'm enjoying some sf hot chocolate..after having 2 cups of decaf...

Have a great day..

The endo called to change my appointment..I go next Tuesday at 8:00..so I have to leave around 7:00 to make it in time..I am hoping she is good.

Trust Me was a good show. Hubby and laughed quite a bit. The fried duck eggs with mushrooms and kale were quite tasty

Got 2 more eggs this morning despite the horrible cold.

I liked Trust Me too!!

The snow is just starting here.

Cable guy came about 1:00 and after he thought everything was fine, he wandered up into the attic and changed splitters, re-hooked up the cable box, set the remote so it works everything, fine tuned everything . . . . he was amazing! He didn't leave until 3:00!

Took mom with me to Petsmart. Of course she wouldn't get out of the car. The eye doc was an hour and a half and she was tired. So I hustled in and out.

Sandy - I'm glad he's doing well! Remember to send some warmth our way!

My cable guy is great, too..Glad you had a good experience. Did your Mom get cold in the car? We used to carry a blanket for Grandpa when Betty and I went grocery shopping.

I got alot done by staying home...ironed dh's shirts, changed the sheets, did some laundry,..etc..exercised..Now for dinner????

Some bad news today. Dad's roommate died. While Dad was in the room. He didn't take it well. I think it brought back too many memories of when Mom passed. He was doing better this afternoon though. They think he'll be able to come home Monday. So I guess little brother will be handling all that. I'm sure he'll do fine. He is a pastor so he knows how to look after people. Or he should anyway. His wife and kids are great too and my kids live close so he'll be covered. And his neighbors are about like family too. I'll be checking on him while I'm gone too.

I DVR'd Trust Me but couldn't get into it. Right now I'm having a hard time even getting into my favs, so it's not really a good time to judge new shows for me. I'll settle down into watching stuff when I get back. And yes, I promise, I'll do what I can to send warmth to all of you while I'm there.

Yikes, Sandy..When my minlaw was in rehab for her broken femur, her roommate died, too.
The poor little lady came in one day..stayed a day or two, then died that night. It does kind of shake you up, but I'm sure the rehab handled it well..Let's hope..

I'm sure your dad will be fine...

Gosh..I'm tired tonight..The Biggest Loser kid who went home lost over 100 pounds so far..That brought him down to 350ish from 450ish..(or something like that). He looks so much better..

CYa tomorrow.

Morning!

Sandy - that's so sad!! I hope your Dad is OK!
I think Trust Me has potential. I also like Lie to Me - that's on tonight!

Carolyn - that's a good idea about carrying a blanket. Wonder what I'll do this summer??

Lots of schools are closed around here, but not ours, so fingers crossed for DS16 driving today . . . .

Morning! Coffee MK?

Sandy, that is so sad for your dad. Hope he is doing better today.

Well, it started snowing last night, 5" and then ice this morning. It's now snowing again and all schools are closed. We are getting pounded again - forecasting 12-17" by tonight! Dh just left for work - really didn't want him to go, but he insisted. He'll call when he arrives but I'm not sure about the drive home. It's supposed to get even worse as the day progresses. Carolyn, I made him put a blanket in the car - something we've never done but sounded like a great idea. At least if he gets stuck somewhere and is there for awhile, he'll have some additional warmth. Hmm, wonder - since he's such a "guy" if he'd even use it!

Hi to everyone and hope you all have a great day. I'm not going anywhere again today, so I'll see you all later.
