Those fibroids can be very annoying..(Had one) and cause heavier periods..I'm sure your doctor is "watching" it.. Take care of yourself...

Shari: Hi...too bad you have to work..

I just got a notice from Amazon UK that my new Barry book is being dispatched via Royal
Mail. Wow..It should be here on the 10th. Royal Mail sounds more fancy than the Post Office, doesn't it? Hopefully, there will be some "crumpets" in the packaging..LOLOL

I stand corrected! I can get books and DVD's form amazon.com, just no gifts or other cool stuff.

I may have to do this if I want it anytime soon!

Thanks for the recipe.

I've really gone overboard with eating.
Back to the basics tomorrow!

Morning friends.
Whew, hoping I am not so tired today, yesterday I got the laundry done but that is it. Didn't even cook last night, had DH bring home wings for dinner.
Tiny new loss this morning, 2/10's of a lb. Wheeee, I will take it. So glad I stuck it out with the metformin as I am quite sure that is what is helping me with being able to finally lose weight. Took 3 whole months to work through the stomach distress though to get to the full dosage and still have to take some immodium with it. Hoping to see maybe 208 by Dec. 1st. It is hard to think I might finally get back below 200, I can't even tell you when that last happened but it has been a long, long time.

One thing though, that I was thinking about last night. I don't have much of an appetite anymore and although I make some good LC things, none of it tastes as good to me as food used to taste. The good thing about this of course, is that I eat less and am losing but I never have that love affair with food that I had in the past where I would just love, love, love eating. I almost miss that at times, you know what I mean??? I don't want it back, oh heavens, but, it was a blissful feeling.

Enough rambling, BBL.

Prozak, sorry about the female problems you are having. I went through the whole mess before I finally gave in and had surgery. Then a rough menopause. Wish I had had a better doctor so that maybe it would have been easier. Find someone who is good with hormone issues, it will make your life so much easier.

Hi ladies...

Was down a bit today..146..However, I need to get below my Thursday weight..

Buffy: I know what you mean. The day you and Zilla hit the 199 mark, we will indeed celebrate.. I think that bad carbs are from the devil. They make us do things we wouldn't normally do. I think they make us love food too much and crave it unnaturally.. The key with any LC diet is to stop craving food..so we don't overeat..

Bible study this afternoon..Did my faux Curves and voted and got an iced coffee for the day...........It's 66 here and very gorgeous..DH is in Stockholm today.

Stockholm is where my mothers ancestors are from. They operated a grain mill there years and years ago, I would love to visit there someday. Hope Gary is having a wonderful working trip.

I voted - did you?

Buffy - I think that's what we're supposed to feel - we should eat to live not live to eat!

Carolyn - I bet he's having a great time!!

Yes, last Thursday to beat the crowd.

Yes, MK, I think you are right but I can never remember feeling that way, even as a very thin child. I always was so interested in food and what was there to eat and learned to cook just so I could make yummy things. Food was always so important to me, it is almost like I lost a good friend, but a good friend that was a very bad influence on me

I think I know what you're feeling Buffy. I don't think the friend ever totally goes away, it just goes on trips and hopefully if we're lucky it'll move far, far away and maybe just visit once in a great while, lol.

I remember things in my past by what I ate at the time! How crazy is that??? And I mean long ago past events. Food has always been my closest friend too but right now my friend also seems to be on vacation.

Well, it was always the friends who were bad influences that seemed like they were the most fun and crazy and the ones I always wanted to hang out with. Thank goodness common sense prevailed and I didn't get into too much trouble , just with the naughty food friend, oh, she got me into 242 lbs of fat trouble, yes she did!!!! But, I could always depend on her being there for me, any time, any place, wow, it is a loss but I know in my heart and blood I am better off without her

Oh Sandy, I can so relate to certain times and certain foods I ate.

Hey everyone, I just ordered Barry's new book at Amazon. Free shipping too, but you have to wait a little longer to get the free shipping but time goes by so fast for me anymore, it will be here before I remember I ordered it

Well, the triplets and their mommy are coming over to visit, I need to go wash off the tables on the patio and maybe I can convince them to play out there part of their visit. I am going to roast a pan of the green beans Prozak is talking about so they can try them, won't that make a good snack for kids if they like them????

Hi..

Love those pictures, Sandy..

Yeah, we are all about food in our family, too..Restaurants are a favorite part of our vacations..I think that isn't a bad thing, though. God made food for us to eat and enjoy.
However, He made us fat when we overdo it.

Gals: Speaking of food..Cleo posted this stuffing recipe..I'm going to try it..

Stuffing

3 cups stale oopsies
3 cups celery, chopped (make sure to get leaves in there, too!)
1 cup onion chopped
1 cup butter, melted
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp sage
1/2 tsp thyme
3/4 cup hot water

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Toss all ingredients except water. Add water and toss. Transfer to a covered 2 quart casserole dish. Bake for 30 minutes.

Makes 6, 3/4 cup servings

Since my attempts at making oppsie rolls have all turned out rather inedible, I am making my sausage and squash stuffing again this year. I have a few things to work out on the recipe, but i will post it once I am done.

I'm sorry to say I'm just eating normal food on T-giving. My DD is having dinner again and there's nothing LC, LF or Low cal about any of her menu except maybe the turkey, lol. That's why I want to stay totally on track until then so maybe I'll have a bit of wiggle room.

Honestly, I will probably do real stuffing on Tday, too..And mashed taters, of course. However, this might be a good recipe for the rest of the year..

That's true Carolyn. With a nice roast chicken maybe. Be sure to let us know how it turns out, ok? I don't have very good luck with oopsies either.

sj I would bring a bowl of cooked broccoli and nuke it before you eat.. I would bring my own butter too.

save your carbs for something you REALLY want like the dressing.. rather than waste them on the other carbie things.

I am making my SUSHEEZE right now:

a handfull of shredded sharp cheddar tossed in a non-stick pan (or microwave) cooked until bubbly.

cool and then move to a napkin to soak up the extra fat.

spread with cream cheese and top with canned crab meat and roll.

dare to share LOL

Nope Prozak, I'm sorry, I actually want it ALL! I work hard to maintain my weight in my 5# zone and part of the reason I do that is so that on special occasions I can splurge IF I want to. There have been times in my life I've chosen not to do that, but this year is not one of them, lol. Thanksgiving is my very favorite meal of all time. All of it. But that's a great idea for when I don't plan on eating.
