Adult Height/Weight Tables a la Barry..

Check page 284 out in your book. It lists the "healthy" body weight chart..

One stone equals 14 pounds..

So, I am 5' 3", and my "ideal" weight is between 113 pounds to 141 pounds.
When I was on WWer's I got down to 118..but I do have more muscle now and am close to being "ideal"..LOLOL..I do think 141 would be a good weight for me.

Anyone else??????????????? I can post your ideal weight if you want..

I'm curious what mine would be. I'm 5.0'5. Small frame. I'm satisfied where I am but am wondering what his chart says.

Let me see...5.0.5..from 7 stones 6 lbs. to 9 stones 3 pounds..OR
104 lbs. to 129 pounds.

The 104 pounds would be a BMI of 20 and the 129 pounds would be a BMI of 25, Dyan

Does he use that BMI range for all heights? I'm 5' 2" so that puts my numbers just a little lower than yours: 7st 11 to 9st 10 (109 to 136). I'm happier in the bottom half of that range, but at 110 I was thin enough that I didn't think I should go any lower. The upper end is distinctly pudgy for me, but I'm a small/medium frame, and the higher numbers would probably work fine for someone with a bigger frame.

He does say that the lower end would be for women and the higher would be for men or women with more muscle. And, that BMI should be between 25 and 20.

I'm 5'3" Carolyn, so I will take your numbers.

I'm down 2.2 more pounds this Morning. I was beginning to think I couldn't lose weight at my age but looks like it is slowly coming off. Size 4 and maybe 2 - here I come.

Hope everyone stays out of the Halloween treats.

Happy Halloween!

Hi Boon:

According to the chart, your ideal weight should be 51.2 to 64 kg. That is from 20 BMI to
25 BMI.

For your height/age, your ideal weight should be from 9 stone 3 pounds to about 11 stone 8 lbs...129 to 162 pounds.
.
That would be from 20 BMI to 25 BMI.

Okay..Paula..

5 9 is 9 stone 9 lbs to 12 stone 1 pound (BMI of 20 to BMI of 25)

5 10 is 9 stone 13 lbs. to 12 stone 6 pounds..

So, you are right that around 165-9 is the high end for 5 9..

It's always good to get there and see what that weight looks like.. You can do it.

Height weight charts seem to be on the low side. When I look online the weights seem unrealistically low. Does anyone have a chart thats more likely in real life

I really don't think that these charts are too low. For me, they are just about right..and within reason.

The goal is to have a BMI of about 25 and lower.

Of course, if someone is very muscular, then they would weigh more, but that's not me..

Geography

Carolyn

Some of our very best friends are in Topeka. I show dog and go to KS pretty often. Santa Fe is truly charming and magical in many ways. Los Alamos, the other LA, is very interesting!

Thanks for the welcome.

****** tells me I should be around 115-120. I spent a good part of my adulthood between 120-130. I would need to lose about 50 lb to get there again. It would be nice to be that slim again, many 50 somethings are still at their younger weights and look good. Not too sure it would look good on me at this point. Anyway my goal is to lose at least 30, I would be sooo happy.

Well, I got down to 128 while LCing and that was pretty low for me. You know, when you LCarb, you can "weigh more" but look thinner because your muscles don't disappear because you are eating enough protein.
