60 grams a day?
Are there any of you EFGT followers that have been able to consistently lose weight on 60 grams of carbs a day? That seems too good to be true.
Thanks, Laura |
Not me. I do think if someone was extremely active they could enjoy 60 grams of carbs.
Of course, this would be only basically veggies and fruits..If someone avoided the grains, this might work. |
I'm working on keeping my carbs higher (shooting for 40 g right now) while eliminating grains, too, to see if I can still lose. I'm still eating a slice of toast a day (and not losing), but I'll probably make some rev rolls and try to kick that habit in the next few days. I know that I can't lose if grains are in my diet even on 30 grams a day, much less 60 grams. I know that Dr Mike Eades (of PP) thinks that 60 grams a day is too high for most people to lose weight.

I've lost weight with 60-70 grams of carbs. However I kept my calories low as well around 1200 tops.

I eat less than 100g carb(1500-1700cals) and still lose weight even it's just 1lb a week. I really do eat high fat meals and feel full before I could finish the entire meals.
On the days I am on 60g carb, 1700-2000cals I lose about 1.5- 2.5lbs a week. I love this diet. I will lose more weight if I eat more fat , lesser carb when I'm on 1700 cals diet I will lose less weight if I eat less fat, more carb when I'm on 1700 cal diet. |
I don't consistently eat 60g, but 1 or 2 days a week I will get in the 60s and I still lose weight. Most days I am around 30-45g.
