You go Carolyn...Mexican restraunts and those chips are such a combo...you can do it!

Alright, my goal is to maintain 157 through the weekend...I am not worried about calories. I will mind my carbs and load up on the fat...I will drink my water and I will stay positive!

We can do this!!

Summer: Luckily, the service at this Mexican restaurant is pretty fast, so that makes a difference when the chips show up..Less time to be tempted..

hey guys

enjoying my visit with the family, but.............

I am trapped under a HUGE chocoalte bunny and I cannot get up!

Feeling blechy, have been eating way way way off plan and I can FEEL it, cannot wait for life ot get back to normal and to hit the ground running with EFGT.

I cannot find EFGT book so I ordered the new one, I am upset though bc it says it wont come until May!

Good luck to all, take it from me, who has already succumbed to the bunny and now feels yucky, it TRULY is NOT worth it!

Morning all--

Stay strong Carolyn! If you like pork rinds, take a few in a baggie and dip in the salsa - you'll have the crunch factor!

Ymm had a flax muffin with cream cheese and a tsp of Smucker's SF blackberry jam. Very good.

Hey Summer - you are doing great!

Got DD Easter candy- it just does not appeal to me for some reason- maybe it's because I know how crappy I'll feel if I eat it or guilty. Been sugar-free/cookie free/cake free for a month so I'm just not tempted. Now if I should smell the chocolate that might be a different story-- I'll just go grab an avocado

Lil: Is this what the evil bunny looked like? He may look innocent, but he's not!!! I think the book will be worth waiting for..The ebook is not the "best" format"..but a hard book will be much nicer..

I hesitate to say I was down to 138.4 this morning..but I'm trying to drink more water, so I may gain water weight today..BUT, I'm going to eat on plan allllll day long..NO CHIPS FOR ME!!

Debbie: Flax muffins..Yumm..I never thought of bringing pork rinds..I would if it were just my dh and myself..but there are other people involved..LOLO..So, I'll just sit on my hands.

Hope you are all having fun getting ready for Easter..

Yeah, Carolyn I wouldn't bring if there were others.

Hey re: Barry's new book. How is it different from what he e-mails to you?

1 day down...

Just realized my siggy say 154.5, that was a weight I was at for 24 hours a few weeks back ,lol. After Aunt flo has left the building I will update that.

Down a 1/2 pound from yesterday! 156...I am telling you this thread is really helping me and all that cooking I did yesterday really came in handy.

Awwww, Lil Miss, I know its hard once you have fallen but try and dust yourself off and realize it was only 1 day. I know I should talk huh, I have the hardest time after a fall but you got to keep plugging along!!

You go Carolyn! I am craving Mexican food now, haha.

Debbie, i have not made the flax muffins in a long time...those are so yummy. Sometimes I forget how many wonderful and yummy foods there are that are also good for you!

I EFGT

Debbie: I don't know exactly how Barry's new book is different from what the ebook is..The ebook is 300 plus pages..and he has lots of chapters on different circumstances...like nursing/pregnancy, diabetes, etc..I'm excitedly waiting for a hard copy..

Summer: This weekend thread has really helped me, too..It's like going to an AA meeting..some people have to go everyday..It's a CA (carboholics anonymous)..meeting.. And 1/2 pound is a great thing to lose..and once Aunt Flo packs her bags, you will do great!!

Hi to Sandy, Jem, Dharma, Pink..and whoever stops by that I might have missed.

Hello Everyone!

It's really unusual that I don't have extended family here this year, but it also makes food prep easier since I'm not having to put on the big traditional meal. We're having ham, baked sweet potatoes with cinnamon & butter, devilled eggs, and spinach salad with mandarin orange slices and pecans.

In the past, I would have baked a lot of breads & biscuits -- none this year!! And a dessert. I am making one tiny basket for the kids with a few candies, and that will be it, containing only enough that they will eat it in a day and then it's gone!

It's so cold here that it's really hard for me to feel like it's Easter! Snow flurries and high winds here yesterday!! And my gardens are covered with sheets & towels, trying to save everything from freezing.

My cupboards are actually kind of bare. Instead of worrying about tomorrow, I need to think up something for lunch right now!

Hi all,
I forgot about this weekend thread til this evening. I wasn't so good yesterday but today's been ok. I made the KC Brisket and I'll put it in the crock pot while we're at church and I also bought a ham and I'm going to heat it up in my other crock pot. I hope it works. I have everything else ready except for just throwing all the ingredients for one of my salads together. It has cheese in it and I don't like to premake it b/c the cheese can get yucky. I grilled again on the new grill so that way I didn't have restaurant temptation. Plus, I want to start grilling more with the good weather. Not that it was good today. It was sunny but brrrrrrrrr....very cold.

Have a great Easter everybody!

Happy Easter!!

I did so good yesterday, today will be the test though!

We are BBQing today, I will make sure I have plenty of legal sidedishes and I have decided to pick up some SF chocolate just in case I start feeling deprived.

The kids got a ton of candy and I have promised them we would make brownies today . Wish me luck!!

Hope everyone has a fantastic Easter!!!

1 more day, we can do it!

Hi..

Company just left..I was really good except I might have eaten too much legal food..So, I'm not going to eat dinner tonight..We ate about 1:00 and I'm still full at 4:30..I also need to hop on the treadmill..

Sandy, I hope your brisket turned out..Mine was good and we have leftovers for all week!!!

And, NO CHIPS at the Mexican restaurant..I had some decaf before going out, so I wasn't starving, so that helps alot..

Hope everyone had a great Easter..even though it was a little brisk here in the MidWest.

Well, I didn't do so well this weekend, BUT, it could've been worse so I guess it wasn't a total wash.

And yes, Carolyn, the brisket was fantastic. And I have no leftovers except one little serving. Everybody loved it so definitely a keeper for sure. And the ham was good too. But I have lots of leftovers of it. I took some food up to my parents' house. My mom is sick again. I think she might have pneumonia again! Hopefully we caught it in time, I hope so so she doesn't have to go to the hospital.

You guys are doing so well it makes me feel like I really shouldn't even be posting on this thread.

Sandy: Glad you liked the brisket..I think I ate too much of it..LOLO..so I'm drinking water for dinner..(yum)..We LOVE having you posting..

Hope your Mom is okay..My minlaw was feeling puny this morning, so she didn't make it to church with us this morning..It's tough getting old..They just don't have any resistance to anything, it seems.

Well, Monday is another day, ladies...
