Welcome back Debbie - sorry about your ankle!! I know that hurts. Broke my wrist and shoulder last year. Takes time to heal those broken bones, for sure!

I don't eat much fruit at all. Berries every now and then and maybe an apple. I love pears, peaches, plums, fresh cherries etc. But just don't eat much of it because they can upset my stomach and because of the carbs. They taste so sweet when you've been off sugar for awhile.

I just do not feel like working today!!!

Hi ladies..

Nice to see our new gals..and Debbie, too.. sorry about the ankle..

Sandy: Yes, I did the same thing you did with the pm..

Those last 10 pounds are the very hardest to lose, unfortunately. That fat is entrenched in our bodies and it's not leaving the building unless we do something drastic..like cut calories..

Lunch was fine..I think I might have eaten too much food..At buffets I always put my salad on my dinner plate that way I don't eat so much of the other stuff..

Did you get in trouble too? What are the points you get with those and how many points are you allowed to get? I don't remember reading anything about that.

Good idea about the salad on the dinner plate. I'll have to try that one.

Okay I'm gonna be accountable here and just say I had popcorn and M&M's last night for dinner!!!

I was soooo hungry last night. I had another hard workout and I guess I didn't plan enough food around my workout, so it hit me last night really hard. I mean, I ate the entire bag of popcorn. And about 20 M&M's. Then I pouted about it for awhile.

THEN I just said, "STOP". Nobody shoved the food down my throat. It's all ME.

The weirdest part was I lost 1/2 pound. I'm sure the carbs I ate yesterday WILL show up sometime, but they didn't this morning. The scale is a mystery isn't it??

TGIF everyone!

Morning!

Well down another 0.5 and yesterday was a hungry day for me, I ate and ate...all legal but a high calorie day for me for sure.

Loving the book, plenty more to read though. This plan is a great fit with me, this could definantly be the woe/wol for me and for that I am really excited!

TGIF

Gotta run....

Thanks for the welcome! It's a new day Dharma - forget those M&M devils and popcorn.

Last night I had grilled ribeye (about a fourth of it) and my luxurious loaded cauliflower and a salad. Could not eat it all. Of course I had my celery sticks with a little cream cheese also before dinner. So I still attribute that to my lack of appetite. Will see what the scale thinks.

Have a good day everyone!

I had a very high calorie day yesterday too and was right at 140 still today. I figured I'd be up. I love this WOE. Today's not going so well though. DD came over on her lunch hour and brought fish sandwiches and french fries. She doesn't do that very often and I sure didn't want to discourage her. I ate my whole sandwich but only a few fries. Thankfully they were cold so that made them easy to resist. And we had a very nice visit too.

Hi everyone! Hope you've all been doing well...

really strange things are happening for me lately... my weight has dropped down to 125 in a solid weigh. On monday I got on the scale at 128, then on Tuesday is was 127, Wednesday was 126 and now today is 125!?! I am really confused... I am still eating 2000ish calories, the only thing different is that all week I have been making sure my protein hasn't topped 60... anyone have any isight on this (also note my previous protein intake was 100+, could this be it?)

Have a good one everybody!

Yes, Pink, I'm sure it's from eating differently. Keep it up!! You're doing great. Keeping my protein low is the hardest part for me. I love my proteins.

PINK that's incredible!! Yes I too believe it's the protein. Obviously you were eating a little more than you needed and when you reduced it your weight went down.

My protein's been around 60 gr since I started 3 weeks ago. I lost very well the first week - 4 lbs. But I let my carbs get too high and it has really slowed me down!

Hi guys..

Yes, the scale is a fickle little fellow.. It's hard to tell if the weight gain OR loss is from yesterday's meal or the day before..My nurse friend says it takes 72 hours for food to "exit the building"..so to speak.

Pink: Wow....you are the perfect example of how cutting your protein can really help with weight loss..and finding your perfect number..Super, duper..

Lisa: Don't sweat the m&m's and popcorn..It's not an everyday thing.. and you are doing so well..

Sandy: Yummy..I love fish sandwiches..

Hi to Debbie, Summer (happy reading), and Jem..

I dont know WHY I was up 2 lbs but IM NOT gonna freak! I just got right back on track today (cookin my OWN meals and drinkin a ton of water)!.

Still lovin' my coconut oil....

Michelle: Salt..that is the answer to your weight gain..Restaurants load up on the salt when they are serving food..and the bleu cheese dressing is quite salty (but yummy), too..So, keep drinking that water to flush it all out!!!

Happy saturday!

Down another 0.5 pounds?!? I am loving this...my calories are averaging almost 1800 a day and I have lost 5 pounds since begining EFGT...amazing.

I feel like I have found this incredible loophole.

I am having my coffee right now with 1/2 TBSP with coconut oil and its really good. Thanks for all the tips.

I had a busy week, next week I will do a better job with personals and such. I want to thank you all for your helping with this newbie!!

Congrats Summer!!

Happy Saturday to all. I slept in this morning. Felt great. Knew I was not gonna like the scale this morning and I didn't. DH really wanted to eat out last night and we ended up at On The Border. We took DS to get a cell phone for his birthday first, then went to eat. I did pretty well. I ordered a side salad and it was really big. Had ranch dressing on it. Had 2 glasses of wine, and one of DH's fish tacos. My numbers ended up like this for the day:

Cal 1418
Fat 93 gr
Carbs 53 gr
Fiber 10 gr
Protein 64 gr
Alcohol 19

Considering eating out not bad. But I was hoping to make up for the horrible Thursday eating yesterday. Just will have to do it today.

Isn't is weird how some of us (Pink) can eat so many more calories and still lose? We are all so different. I used to think age really didn't make that much difference but I guess it really does!!

I had to dig out my DS28's baptism certificate this morning and I swear I went through every box in my house and it was in the LAST one I looked in!! He's getting married in the catholic church and they have to have a lot of documentation. His fiance is from Spain! Lucky us they are having the wedding there. I MUST get myself into a smaller size for the wedding. But ya'll already know this....

Have a great day everyone.

Great job Summer. Keep us the good work. Are you still reading? It really does feel llike a loophole doesn't it? I love it and I'm one of the lucky ones I guess who can eat alot of calories and lose too. I'm mostly maintaining now but I eat alot of food. And I'm old so I know I"m lucky. I do work out but lately that's actually been hit or miss what with vacation and all the bugs I've had. When I decided to do this I decided to do it without really depriving myself and then if it didn't work I'd move on. Well, it's worked great and I don't feel deprived so I'm sticking with this hopefully for life.

Dharma, that is just so cool that your son is getting married in Spain and you get a vacation too! We had fish tacos last night too. Then we went to see The Ultimate Gift. Very good movie with some very good values lessons in it.

Have a good one everybody,

Hi gals..

EEK..I was up to 141..Well, I was eating too much sweet Italian sausage as I was making dinner last night..TOO much protein..DUH!!!!!! and it was salty, too..

Yes, all our metabolisms are SO darned different..I remember when I was on WWers and nursing our son..they told me to eat 500 extra calories, but I didn't..I just ate the regular 1200 and lost on that..I knew I would gain if I ate 1700 calories..

Congrats, Summer on your weight loss..and Sandy for maintaining so well..

Lisa: You will have a great time in Spain and the wedding will be really fun..with lots of good food..I'm sure you will look lovely in whatever you wear..

Happy Saturday..Finished judging my Forensics..all day..

Hi to everyone who's new!
I'm just lost this week.

I've discovered I'm lactose intolerant - better than IBS, but I miss my cheese!

Also it makes eating LC or EFGT so much harder!

Thoughts?

Hi ladies!!!!

Im so glad i found the thread again...i hvae to get back on this woe now that i am done with all of my traveling...thank goodness!!!! it was wearing me out!!!

It was very hard to stay eating EFGT in manila eating in the hotel most of the time...i was still able to eat fairly lc which is good...i didnt gain any weight and didnt lose any...but im ready to get back to this woe...i also havent been working out regularly...ill be so glad to get back in the gym...it was to hard there working the overnight shift...i just couldnt get my body adjusted and was just to tired to go to the gym...

im so glad to see there are still many people eating efgt...i was loving it before all this traveling came on...i have been eating my co oil...its made in the philippines and i could get it so cheap there...they even had flavored co oil...those people eat it all the time...they use it on their skin...their hair...everything...i also tried buco juice there for the first time...can i just say heavenly...its the real co water right out of the coconut...just a little hint of sweetness and so tasty...

i went to the beach my last weekend there...a very local spot that was about 4hrs away from manila...it was wonderful!!! it was my first time to see the beach...they use real co oil there...it was totally different than the processed kind...it was darker and had a different smell...we all got massages right on the beach and the ladies used their reall co oil to massage us...heavenly!!!! it cost a total of 4 bucks to get a 1 hr full body massage...can u believe that...lol...everything was so cheap!!!!

well ill stop rambling...im glad to be back to this woe and im glad to see everyone doing so well...i have to get some weight off...i have been at 150 for way to long...i would like to lose about 10 more lbs and i know i can when i get back on efgt and get back to the gym...

take care ladies...ill be back posting when i can

Hi gang, I just got the e-book but I'm not sure about lots of things yet but I might give this a try. Then today on the main lobby I read this

Quote: If you are consuming too much fat, your body wont burn it's own reserves. Dietary fat is the first to be burned.

I have heard this many times before, do you think this applies to this EFGT plan?
