Anyone ever try Extend snacks?
The Extend bars, crisps and drizzles are supposed to protect you from blood sugar spikes as well as hypoglycemic episodes and claim to lower your A1c over time. I'm not diabetic but very carb sensitive and my husband has metabolic syndrome so I bought a variety of Extend snacks. I don't love the bars (prefer Atkins), but if I do eat them my favorite is Chocolate Peanut Butter. My husband really likes the chocolate drizzles and I love the white cheddar crisps. I haven't eaten these snacks long enough to notice a difference in my A1c, but I did notice in the past week that on days that I eat a bag of crisps, my post meal glucose levels are lower than usual. Has anyone used these snacks and if you have, has it had an effect on your A1c?
