If you go a Google search you may find diabetics are often a little deficient in vitamin B1. I started taking some about 6 months ago for my stuttering as it seems to help about 30% of people who stutter and it sure helps me! But I just noticed that my calf muscle isn't nearly as flabby as it used to be. Well low and behold I found out that that was a symptom of a B1 deficiency. And sometimes the cause of a B1 deficency can be drinking a lot of coffee and tea something I like a lot of us here do. And although I can't find any references to this my sub clinical B1 deficiency may have made me very prone to tendinitis.

Very interesting - I'm going to pass that along to my sister! She tends to have "flabby" calves.
