Black and Blue where I test on my arms

Anyone else have this?

I do alternate testing (on arm rather than finger). I've noticed the various test sites on both arms end up black and blue.

What's up with that?

It's bruising - all bruising is caused by blood leaking out of small vessels under the skin. Impacts can cause it, so can poking a hole in the vessel with a lancet. A little oozes out of the vessel under the skin as well.

Not uncommon in arm testing. Less common in fingers because of the density of skin, etc.
