Hi all: here is what has happened to me in my experiment with ACV. It has had no effect on my fasting numbersat all.

Yet.... my pp numbers will be lower when having ACV in the am and before dinner especially when I am on target with my eating. Yes, 5 to 12 points lower. so in the past when I had my two eggs in the am and my pp was 105 after acv my pp is 97. (yea!!) lunch with salad and chicken and my pp would have been 98 then I am at 93 or 90.

Now dinner is my worst meal of the day and lately I haven't been on target with my eating so my numbers have been all over the place but I believe they would be higher if I wasn't taking the ACV before dinner.

and with all I've been reading about drinking ice water to quicken metabolism ... I have it in ice water but still no weight loss. our bodies... interesting devices.

I did a little experiment for 2 weeks of having 2T of lemon juice in hot water after getting up at 3:00 a.m. Unfortunately this did only prevented my usual rise in b.s. one morning. It worked for diwitch....upthread and I have a similar schedule so I thought it might work for me.

Guess I'll give the ACV a try starting tomorrow.

Here is my experience with high morning numbers. I am recently diagnosed and my morning numbers were 120's to 130. Also, I do a long workout at the gym 4 times a week and my numbers would shoot up to the 150's 1h after the gym, even when no food eaten. At other times of day, my lows would be in the 110's. I read about the dawn phenomenon online and figured the after gym thing was a similar type of issue. I tried cinnamon, which others have said has worked, with no change. I tried apple cider vinegar and it immediately took my morning numbers down. They now average from the low 90's to 110's. I don't get any spike after working out anymore. Being a skeptic, I tested by stopping for several days and my numbers started creeping back up, so this def works for me.

Having said that, it seems that different things work for different people so this may not help everyone, but for me there was an immediate difference.

One more note, I am currently on Metformin (1000mg) but I started the ACV before the Metformin, no further change in morning numbers since starting Metformin.

I used one of the natural (aka cloudy not clear) Apple Cider Vinegars. I take 2 TBS mixed with a glass of water and some sugar free iced tea mix. I started doing this twice a day, but found that doing it once a day was enough. I hope this helps.

Sorry I have been MIA I have no answer for you as I don't use the pills. If there is instruction on the bottle I would start with that. Best wishes

Thank you for sharing this! I'm going to give this a try starting tonight and hopefully I will see my morning numbers come down. So glad it's working for you!
