After my experience with 3 difference meds for cholesterol, I will never take another one. I had horrible leg and back pain on each of the three they tried. I couldn't even drive my legs hurt so much.

Your total does seem high, but as we know, you could have the large type of chop. which is not bad compared to the small type. What were your trigs?

How long have you been on LC? Your LDL could be size "A" which is big, fat particles for protection. Did you get your triglycerides? The particle size is tested through a VAP or NMR test. Not the standard. And total doesn't matter anymore as the tide is changing.

Your ratios are as follows with what you posted:

Total divided into HDL: 4.59. Idea for a woman is 4.4 or below. Best way to correct is lower trigs and raise HDL.

However, HDL at 59 is very good!

LDL divided into HDL: 2.98 ( Ideal 4.4 or below for carotid plaque) Looking good here.

If you get your trigs; ratio goes as follows: trigs divided into HDL. 2 or below is ideal. 4 is high and 6 is "danger".

Are you adding extra fat like coconut oil or MTC oil each day to coffee or anything? That jacked my numbers up.

I would commit to more exercise, break a sweat! And of course, good ol' low carbing. Go back and test 6 to 9 months and see whats up.

These - in my humble opinion - are not screaming "take statins!" Especially for us women.

Hope that settles your nerves a bit.
