Total Cholesterol 270 Tri 96 HDL 68 LDL 183 02/02/13 Total Cholesterol 181  Tri 55 HDL 56 LDL 114  14 more to lose :high5: I'm wondering if eating the coconut oil bark, and little fiber in my diet made my cholesterol high. I stopped eating the coconut oil bark after my October 13th lab work. I only use it to stir-fry. Fiber I added; I started eating one small apple a day smeared with peanut butter. I have Bob's Redmill High Fiber Cereal w/1 teaspoon of cinnamon & almond milk, w/NuNaturals pure liquid stevia added, every morning. I have one cup of beans everyday, w/1-2 cloves of garlic finely chopped added to it. I've blend 1/2 cup mixed frozen berries, almond milk, stevia for a lunch 3 x a week Baked fish, sardines, kippers, anchovies, or tuna salad 3-4 x a week. Four celery stalks @ day for crunch snack. Steamed veggies with my meals. I cut down on beef (the bunless burgers), I'm eating more chicken breasts. I drink lots of water. Ice cold glass is always at my side, and I make sure I drink 2 quarts or more a day. I exercise a 15 minute brisk walk after breakfast, and a 15 minute brisk walk after dinner I stop eating after 6 pm....if needed I'll eat a SF jello, or eat my apple if I didn't eat it during the day. I seem to be losing weight faster too :jumpjoy: Five pounds to goal. And the baby bump is gone. This all happened when I upped my fiber. Fish oil capsules 3 a day Vit C 1000 1 a day Vit E 400 i.u. 1 a day Vit D3 1000 1 a day Magneisum 400 mg 2 x a day 3 RX's taken BP med Metformin Beta Blocker AC1 @ 5.6 Looking good so far. Next test & doc visit will be in April. Fingers crossed the meds will disappear next :) |
