Congrats!!

I use my blood test results any time folks start to argue that low carb is bad for you. I then point out that my cardiologist is the one that recommended low carb in the first place and that he is one of the best cardiologists in the country

I took Crestor for six weeks alone with low carb. After 25 pounds of weight loss through LC, my skycraper cholesterol became now too low, and now I apparently have perfect LDL.

Cardio took me off Crestor (well she said 5mg MWF as opposed to 10mg everyday). She also lowered the dosages of my BP meds.

Here's hoping I get to go off meds completely in the future.

I've tried to share this type of info with my dad and others who are taking cholesterol, blood pressure, etc. medicines. It just goes against everything they've been taught over the years and I get sort of a weird, funny reaction. I wish others would realize how much sugar affects us in SOOO many ways. Keep up the good work!

Congrats on the improvement overall! Re your HDL, I was wondering what your egg consumption is? And do you take an omega 3 supplement? I've heard that the choline from eggs can improve HDL, as well as taking omega3.
Keep us posted on your HDL!

Congratulations. Very inspiring post.

I also want to get off the BP and BS meds.....I refused Statins.

The doctor told me to take the fish oil, to see how it goes....Next month I'll have my blood work done....I recently read Konjac Root Fiber is good for cholesterol, and blood sugar...it comes in capsule form or a powder you can use to cook with.

Mine improved a lot too. They started middling - not good, not horrible. After a few months it went haywire and my labs were awful, but a few months after that, much better than at the beginning.
