Okay so I weighed in at my medi weight loss clinic, so I consider that my more "official" weight. That's how I "lost" 4.6 pounds in one day ;-) when I was first thinking of my August goal, it was going to be 279, but I didn't want to shoot that far and fail. I guess septembers goal will be amped up. Because like the little engine that could.... I think I can I think I can I think I can....

I also love this thread, anything that holds me accountable helps! I'm not so great at holding MYSELF accountable.

Terri - Thanks so much yes I was just trying to get rid of the 10 I gained in beginning and the 20 pounds(!) I gained while visiting family out of state. I was 330 when I got pregnant this time and since that was the # I was when I went in to deliver my first two, I know I needed to be more diligent this time. Got to see her face on the 3d/4d today and she has chubby lil cheeks and growing just fine I was 253 at my lowest after my first and when I got pregnant with my twins I gained about 10 pounds, but when I lost them in my 2nd trimester I ate from grief and shock and all that and gained so much so fast it was crazy. Got on scale and being over 300 again was like holy crap! Then get pregnant soon as doc said was ok, with my now 1 yr old. I am eating plenty of protein and healthy foods and know I am eating around 100 grams a day average of carbs, my loss is from just not going overboard and from all the walking and swimming. And yes I Needed to lose it for sure-and as for the 'whoosh' I sure hope so as I gained every time I nurse too, from trying to stay awake all those long nights aughh-I mean, who craves chicken or healthy food at 2am right?

Dear sweet JoanneO has coaxed me out of my shell. It's been a stressful month at work, and just gaining/losing the same 2-3 pounds hasn't helped. I refuse to give up, though, and I think I've lost inches. Maybe the 'fat fast' would help, but is also need to be patient!

Congratulations to all the losers and thank you for the encouragement everyone gives out here!

ROSEANNE - Thank You! ya I'm in the 7 ' s but really wanted to reach that goal. Today's weight was encouraging but I been working out HARD! (100% more than usual) I think I lost 2 # in sweat yesterday.
I'm seeing a pattern here... I bounce around at the start of the month too long... LOL Maybe Sept. I should have a mid-month goal!?!

Hopefully I can head into the "70s"by the months end :-)

And I agree... Any loss is not a gain. I know I didn't gain this weight within a few weeks, so we can't expect it to all fall off I. The same time. Life happens, we all deal with the stress of the world around us, and even eating well, our body might gain from that stress. Stick within all!

Jesse- so exciting to hear about your pregnancy! I can't wait to (hopefully) one day to be pregnant as well. I'm hoping losing my weight will help with that!

Judy, I kinda thought we WERE the same age! I just turned 53! We are kindred spirits for sure!

Bronwyn, keep posting your daily weights here! I promise it will help you when a small backslide happens! I'm still there in the midst of my "backslide". Not sure when I'll get off mine, but recording my weights every day, has helped me to not DOUBLE my weight!

I've been on this thread for over 2 years, and there are so many that disappear! I suspect that it's mostly because of backslides. This is a "daily weighers" thread. It doesn't require "daily losses"!!

Roseanne....Each day doesn't tell the story. It's the total for the month/year that really does. Hang in there. More will be coming off.

Terri....Thanks....but I have a daughter older than you.
I couldn't agree more. This is a thread for staying accountable by posting our daily weight....gain or lose. Hopefully, there will be more losses long-term but if not, so be it. Coming here keeps me from doubling my weight too. I had a niece who weighed just over 500 lbs. She had by-pass surgery and died the next morning. If she had been able to come here, maybe she wouldn't have gotten so big. SO...hang in there, everyone. We CAN make this happen.

Even if I never lose/keep off another pound, eating this way makes me "feel" so much better. It REALLY helps with arthritis for any of you who have it or soon will. Carbs make my joints hurt. Don't think it's "just" your weight that makes them hurt.

To everyone.. yes this means YOU!

All of us are in different stages of the same damn game here. I cuss because this situation should never have happened to any of us... or to anyone ever!!! But it has and does... I dont know for sure where each of you are in this "good fight" .... And a GOOD FIGHT all of us in the century daily weighers club have to put out!!! Moment by moment day by day. From my heart and without doubt I believe no one truly knows how hard this is for our type. We have and have had more than 100 big heavy pounds to lose or more. This ain't your regular skinny friend's weekend diet! LOL

The stuggle we each endure to right this damn wrong regardless of who or what was at fault, is nothing short of NOBEL.

Most of us are the ones unfortunately "blessed" with the fat storing gene & the ones who have the metabolism of a tortoise, which I doubt is to much benefit to anyone in 2014 except for the poor souls who can't afford to eat or struggling and living in a third world country.

You & I came here with a job to do... some have come a long way and have nearly reached the end of their individual fight. Hopefully some stay to keep the light burning for the rest & helping others who are strong enough to be here & want to change. I hope you and I in the future reach the body weight we dream of. You, yourself personally know if you are giving 100% or not... be true & honest about it. If you are giving it 100% there is nothing to be upset over YOU ARE A GOOD FIGHTER. If you are giving less than 100% THEN CHANGE THAT. Do it right now.

My new motto is... "The day is NOT already blown anyhow!" Stop hurting yourself AS SOON as you see that you are.

You are special just for being here! We are different. We are the ones who have decided to do something about our health and life. We are fighters. Even if you don't win every battle you continue to show up. Some times life interrupts us, but right back you come. Be responsible, take this time for YOU, because if YOU aren't happy with yourself you can't make others happy. If we get upset we need to vocalize it and rationalize it, or go get the pillow and SCREAM into it.

I am starting to sound like "braveheart", but let us not give up the fight! This good and noble fight is not just for us as individuals but to benefit all of us here and those we love irl.

Press onward and downward fellow soldiers!

Went on a mental diet vacation and I caused quite a bit of damage. Thank you for your post Anna! It really hit home with me. I used relocating to another state, going on vacations and the stress of job hunting as excuses for not staying low carb. It was too easy for me to say I'll start tomorrow. Well tomorrow kept stretching on to the next day and so on. Anna you brought me back to reality. My tomorrow is today, right this moment. Straying away from these posts have clearly not helped me. I'm back again with a new attitude. I will never give up trying to reach my goal.

Anna - very well said, Braveheart What really hit home for me is when you talked about not giving 100%... I'm not, and I am the only one who can change that. Starts now. Thank you for bringing me back to the reality of what this is all about.. an ongoing battle that will always be tough. We are worth it, and will get thru this together, helping and encouraging each other along the way.
