Thanks Denise. I'm staying on plan and up another pound. Pretty frustrated. But it can't last forever.

I drank a Vitamin Water Zero today. It has zero calories listed, but after I finished it I noticed it had 4 carbs! The label says it has vegetable juice for coloring and is sweetened naturally. But it lists calories, fat, sugars, and protein all as Zero but has 4 carbs. I don't understand how that is possible.

Strawberry, I was looking at the nutrition facts for the vitamin zero water online and even though it is zero calories, and has 4 carbs, when you look at the ingredients, all have erythrytol and stevia and some have modified food starch in the list of ingredients. I wouldn't worry about it. Live and learn.

Happy Monday .... Sunday was another good day spent relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. Can really tell that the season is getting ready to change by the very cool temperatures at night. I'm starting my walking tape this morning before work. DH is on day shift - plan is 1 mile walking tape and mediate. Short week for me. I'm on holidays Friday and Saturday and then for the entire week of Labour Day. No big plans. Walk, meditate, write, relax, organize and eat on plan.

Sally ~ Way to go staying on plan.

Denise ~ maybe that is my problem, I've been having my period non stop for about 3 months.

Strawberry ~ I've drank those before and also wondered the same thing. Who actually controls the labels?

Mary ~ How is the holiday?

Good Morning All!!
Sticking like glue to the plan....
Going to weigh in on Thursday.....other than that, just plugging along.

Sally: I call those days "hungry" days....were you truly hungry or bored?

Cindy: I hope you have a great vacation!!

Mary & Strawberry:

My low carb challenge was to be in a smaller size by Labor Day. I wore a pair of 2X capris yesterday ....but because they are stretchy, I'm not going to count them as meeting my challenge. We still have a week to go....we will see what happens

Have a great LC day!!

Good morning everyone !

Mary - how you doing ?

Cindy - sounds like you have a nice relaxing week off coming up, enjoy !

Sally - way to go staying on plan ! Must have been something in the air yesterday, I ate the same way

Denise - woohoo on the smaller pants, stretchy or not, that still counts !

Strawberry -

Started a new "job" today .. watching the neighbor's 4 year old from 6:30 to 7, then bringing him to pre-school. He's a sweet kid, and asks a million questions LOL. It's making me get up and ready instead of just lounging around in the morning, wasting time.

Thanks for the encouragement ladies. I was hungry but I also didn't plan anything for dinner then ended up eating a salad with little fat or protein and that ended up leaving me hungry. I need to make sure I am planning better.

Sally - I have those days too. Good for you for staying on plan!

Denise - I agree with Joanne - fitting into those capris counts. Congrats!

Mary & Joanne -

Cindy - how's the meditating go? I never started, but have always been interested in trying it out.

I weighed this morning and am down 5 pounds! So not only did I lose the weight I gained last week, but lost more along with it. That's 27 pounds gone so far. I definitely notice it in my face. That's where I always seem to lose it first. My clothes are much looser too.

Congrats Cheryl! Wow!

We got home from our mini vacation at noon today. I was not perfect around the food. Got into some desserts eating out that made me sick so from that regard am glad to be home. I feel safer here.

We were very active. I wanted to shop, hike, bike and kayak. We did all those things. I fell hiking and bruised/ skinned my knee like a kid and my bones and joints hurt because I am not in shape yet. But I loved getting on the bicycle. It has been 40 years since I rode a bike. We were out about 2 hours. It was scary and fun all rolled into one.

Monday my daughter and I went kayaking on the Saco for about 5 miles. She sat in the rear so had to steer. Next year maybe we will go in separate kayaks. I will be in better shape. It was 90 degrees and sunny. Got sunburned in my bathing suit. Water was cold.

Saturday night we went to a small live theater to see Godspell and I met Jesus. I got to say hello. He had a genuine smile that drew the audience in.

Saturday afternoon we went for a hike across a suspension bridge to the agreat Gulf Wilderness that went to Dolly Copp Campgrounds. I was less afraid this year of crossing the suspension bridge. There was a time when I couldn't go across it because I was so afraid of open spaces and heights. But the anxiety was less this year. I still can't go across with another person on it but it is getting better.

Did some outlet shopping on Friday at my favorite stores Jockeys and Eddie Bauer and American Eagle. 4 days isn't enough time. We did eat out more than I am used to. We found a couple restaurants that served vegan items and catered to a variety of palettes. It was neat to be welcomed like that. The wild black raspberries were bigger up there because they got more rain than us. We are still picking down here but we picked up there too.

We picked up our dog at our neighbors. They seemed to enjoy having him. Went to see my counsellor when we got back then had to work for four hours. It has been non stop.

You guys have been a great support through the last couple weeks and I truly appreciate it. Love you all.

Mary - it sounds like you had a great time. My hats off to you for walking across the suspension bridge. I don't think I could do it since I'm too afraid of heights. But if I ever got up the nerve, I know I would have to be like you and make sure I was the only person crossing it. I could just imagine someone else jumping and rocking side to side on it which would make me freak out!

Cheryl - Congrats !!!!

Mary - sounds like a wonderful mini-vaca... Dolly Copp ! Camped there as a kid many times, just seeing the name brought back some great memories.

Hey there everyone!!

Sally: Planning is a good thing....there are some days that just don't get planned. Not sure if you'll like it....but try some coconut oil in some coffee/tea/almond milk...anything that you can think of. It will help you to feel satisfied for a longer period of time....It really does work. I did it for a couple of weeks when I was trying to get through the 3:00-5:00 time period (where I was ravenous when I got home....and wanted to inhale the entire refrigerator!). My appetite has calmed down a lot....so I haven't done it in a while. There are also recipes for "fat bombs" ... does the same thing...gives you a boost of good fats...helps you feel fuller longer.
You will have hungry days....we all have 'em!

Cheryl: Wow!! Yay you!!! That is fantastic!! Great job on the loss!! KUTGW!

Mary: Sounds like you had a great vacation....good for you!!!

Joanne & Cindy: Hello!!

Last night....I decided to try on a few things that I had hanging in my closet to get myself into. I tried these on a couple of weeks ago...and I couldn't button them (a solid 3 inch seperation). I am happy to report...that all 3 pairs of pants fit!!! Yay!! I'm so excited! I've been wearing the same 3 or 4 pair of pants for quite a while (I refused to buy any more big sizes)....so my variety is growing!! I will be retiring my "big" pants soon...and slowly adding other pants from my "stash" as I lose weight!!

I sure hope everyone has a wonderful LC day!!

Good Morning ~ Walking tape and meditation done Busy day and evening but I've got a plan and I'm sticking to it.

Mary ~ Your vacation sounds awesome. Woo Hoo for walking across the suspension bridge. I have not done it since I was a teenager because it scared me so much.

Denise ~

Have a great day everyone

Thanks Denise. I need to try the coconut oil trick. I made fat bombs but they are so yummy I keep going back for more.
I have been staying on plan but my weight went up another pound. I wonder if it's because it's been so hot I'm retaining water? I just want that scale to start moving down.

If you are sticking to plan...the scale WILL move for you. Sometimes our bodies need to stop and adjust...so some patience is need to get through it. A lot of times....when the scale isn't moving...you are still losing inches. Don't get discouraged...you will see it move again. Water retension is EVIL (LOL!)...it's just water, and will go away (took me a solid week to get rid of water retention from TOM...ugh)
You are doing great! KUTGW!!

This year for some reason the fears & anxieties (panic) associated with the suspension bridge were much reduced. I almost walked at a normal gait. The first year that I walked across I had a dream that my mom and dad who were both deceased were waiting for me at the other side with open arms ready to give me big hugs and would do the same when I was ready to return. So each year I would get my hugs from them there.

Fear stands for False Evidence Appearing Real and this Year because perhaps I almost died in March, the fear didn't affect me as much. It is almost gone.

I am determined to face as many fears as I can in the time I have left. I am not going to let those damn fears rule and run my life anymore. I have the power with God's help to change the course of my life.

Mary! Good for you. I want to be able to get over my fears.

I finally let go of the water weight. I'm still one pound over my low but the other three have whooshed away.
