Morning all

Happy Birthday Anthony!!

For whatever reason, I was exhausted yesterday when I got home from work. I forced myself to cook dinner (salmon muffins) and ate, but I was asleep by 9. Slept until 7, so I guess I needed it. Today I have my first mammogram/ultrasound after having my lumpectomy. I guess they are going to use this one as the baseline going forward. I'm expecting some mild pain as they try to squeeze my boob into shapes it's not meant to be in, but oh well....

Yea, I'm officially down 10 pounds in 11 days!!

the bodyweight exercises... I will have to add in later once I lose a little more. They are hard for me because I'm not on a machine so it's totally up to me to keep pushing and motivated while I'm reminded the whole time how ROUND I am and of my largeness ya know? I get mad for example when I know I should be able to do "normal" stuff like getting up & down off the floor. Exercise and anger doesn't go well together (at least for me). I know, I know, I got some mental issues.

So here's a good question for the ketosis "extremists" LOL..on your birthdays does anybody break the rules and eat...say...one slice? I have not ate a single slice of bread or ANY sugar sweets flour or rice at all since I started but I might be tempted to have a piece next month on my birthday... but then again I think I might go all out & lose control and later eat all the leftovers lol... or really scared I might say to myself the following days that I can cheat occasionally & get away with it? I guess I will have to see how I feel next month. The start of my weight loss diet always seems to be a fragile endeavor.

Congratulations anna provolone on your new milestone! I didn't see it until this morning.

Baggy1970 if I drink anything it's usually bourbon and diet coke. I'd avoid wine and fruity or milky drinks. Maybe a low-carb beer?

Having a sleepover with the grandsons tonight. This should be fun. I have to take them grocery shopping with me too! Yikes~! My daughter is doing a crossfit competition tonight and tomorrow.

Yeah, Baggy, I'm with Bronwyn. Any distilled alcohol (not the flavored versions) are carb free. My go-to is vodka & diet coke.

I was a beer addict. I haven't touched a beer since April 2012 when I started this endeavor.

Terri- I live in the sticks so I would have to drive over 20 miles (maybe 30+) to get to a pool class... but I will def look into that!

Anybody got any pull with the big guy upstairs? I could use a solid....I'm stuck again at 299. I'm beginning to get sick of that number almost as much as 300! LOL. Hoping to get past it soon but I have dropped my hydrochlorothiazide 25mg (water pill) thanks to low carbing.

Hey everyone I meant to log on at work and update, but I never seem to get around to it. It was a very busy day! Only down .2 from yesterday but down is down!

My appt yesterday went well and they've already called to say all clear. Now I go Monday to do a "test run" for radiation and start treatment 7/22.

Terri-have fun! Just think of the exercise you'll get running after them...

Roseanne-Thanks for the good thoughts! I can never have enough of them!

It might be a more of a snack dinner plan tonight. I don't feel like cooking anything but I have tons of things to snack on...

Anna - I know exactly how you feel bout the 299 cos 224 appears to be haunting me at the moment!!!

Thanks for the advice guys - had a vodka with diet coke and a couple of glasses , going to do plenty of walking this weekend to try and shift that number!!!

LowCarbingMe - glad to hear ur news and good wishes for ur radiation treatment, I used to accompany my aunt to her appointments and we used to find a few good tunes in the car on the way there put her in a more positive place

WTH??? 300?!?!?!?!! 300.4 to be exact.

Maybe my period is coming but today... this weigh in... got to me & I'm ready to cry.

yesterday drank a pot of coffee with 4 grams carb in the cream... and one half a stick of cream cheese 8 carbs ...Maybe 700 calories.
Looked up a stall... I found the 3 day fat fast.

I'm giving this 2 more days guys and I'm going to give up... pick up my ball, go home (and order a large thick crust pizza)

Stay strong Anna! I believe the fat fast every other day is a good thing. It is based on 800 - 1000 calories/day of pure fat. Restrictive one day and not depriving knowing that you can splurge a bit (low carb of course) the next day.

@ Lowcarbingme - I just read a couple pages and see you're dealing with S1 BC right now. I wanted to tell you I'll keep you in my prayers for a smooth treatment. Its a challenging thing to go through. Stay strong and positive although I can read you are already. This year my husband will be a 19 year lymphoma survivor. Stage 4...treatment for 6 months and never again!

thank you for sharing. I'm sure you're reminding many of us about the self exams.

Nicole, those salmon muffins sound good – I’m guessing the recipe is on the boards so I’ll have to look for that recipe. I’m sorry you were exhausted when you got home from work. Maybe you could freeze some of those muffins for next time you don’t feel up to cooking for a microwave pop-and-eat dinner. {{Hugs}} I’m sorry you have to fight this, but give you big props for also taking on weight loss at the same time!!

Baggy – I’m glad the extra water helped get things moving! Good job on the vodka and diet Coke

Bronwyn – look at you sliding way past that 4th of July goal and it’s barely been a week! Good for you!

ANNA PROVOLONE – YOU ARE NOT QUITTING. Period. E. Central Ohio just isn’t that far from Wisconsin – do I have to come hunt you down and slap you silly? Really?? Just for a thick crust pizza? Maybe this is a weight your body was comfortable at for a bit?? Maybe you can mix things up a little – try more water, eat a bigger breakfast and a smaller dinner, put on some music you just love and dance? You aren't going to let a stall take you down – you are worth so much more than that!

Cathy – welcome back – I think you’re doing well! So you have been struggling – but I know you went into this knowing it wasn’t going to be easy. Give yourself props for coming back to the list.
